That's the thing, we all thought it was just an injury and now thanks to their choice to edit her out, we #riot. But seriously, I'm SO pissed off. -

Ok I can't believe they did it. People already are bitching EVERYWHERE about Holly, even more casual fans. Do they really think that fans won't notice that one of the most popular vets who THEY announced on social media as their group leader is suddenly gone and edited out? They are ungrateful because yes they are a business but well, Erica is still promoting the team and the show so who is the class act in this situation? I just want pretty much all the vets to retire this year. Most of them seem to have a reason to move on, and K&J don't seem to care about the most prominent girls on the team, I doubt they would help out the almost invisible ones like Selina. @ShellyB aren't you going to address the two huge vet cuts on the show at all? -

It seems like they're going to announce group leaders in this episode. If they show Erica too then they'll have to address her disappearance later. -
Yes at least they tried to explain this, although they didn't have to include this to begin with. I love the show in general, but they really aren't giving Kat any depth. She got a position as a director with two years of work experience, we see her defying her seniors and make mistakes and gets a promotion, has an insane disposable income that two shrinks couldn't possibly have to spare... Jane is also a bit inconsistent as a character. I think that's why Sutton is getting so popular; she is the only one who has a solid background that explains her personality, she has her realistic struggles and she's just so damn relatable.

They made it seem like his column was always no.1 so they are just doing whatever makes the plot move forward. I do hope they find a way to bring him back if the show gets renewed. In the pilot Alex was definitely set up as a possible love interest, but also Jac was more feared than loved and ep.2 she became like a fairy godmother so I guess they changed their minds about a lot!

I really liked Ryan's scenes. I know that this pairing is considered boring, but i think he's really good for her. I guess that was his exit though so I shouldn't get excited. Sutton was once again the best in this episode. I don't really think she meant to do this, she seemed to regret it in the morning. Alex is good but I would much rather have a genuine friendship between a man and a woman.

Well I agree that she wasn't awesome, but at least she could do sexy hips and well, a big portion of the fans (ahem males fans) only care about watching hot chicks dancing. Wow, Maddie in Holly's spot? She is good in hip hop but not good enough to cover for Holly. I would put Cersten in her spot. And hopefully they won't put Maddie and Kashara in these hideous outfits again. -
Honestly? World class to me means that she has the whole package. Ally doesn't have the face or the personality, so she shouldn't be talking shit at all.
-
She is Greek though! Not that this means that being fluent in two languages is easy, but I would definitely be blown away by someone who chose to learn Greek with no reason.

I don't think anyone could see this and honestly tell me that there is a reason Yuko made the team. And yes Lacey and Robin are totally saving the group. I've watched it twice before seeing any comments and I didn't even notice the rest of them. Then I re-watched it focusing on each of them... well Lauren looks promising at least. -

But Jenna literally is a leader. She was the one who HAD to remove herself from the situation. And if she is such a follower that a 20 y.o forced her to stay, then she has no business being GL1. Not saying that she threw Holly under a bus, but she obviously didn't act as a leader in this situation -which is probably why she was punished. Yes she was! And well, Paige was forced to leave before ending her season and at least for her it was serious enough as she's getting married to him. So yeah I get that they care for Jenna more than they ever did for Paige, but you can't really say that you have serious rules when they only apply to the girls you don't like that much or to whom you're not related. -

I think the biggest mystery is why Erica isn't posting about Jenna anymore (and vice versa). Those were truly bffs and posted about each other all the time, but now Erica is all #teamholly, so the rumors about Jenna are probably true. Not that this excuses Holly's behavior, but I think that the first time you truly see a backstabber getting what they want at your expense hurts so much and at her age, it's really difficult to handle. Problem is, previous generations didn't have social media to capture all their stupid mistakes and overblown reactions. -

I'm just waiting to see what really happened because it certainly doesn't seem like she was kicked off/quit on a whim. I think she actually left to take a new opportunity. -
When she said that, we haven't had a chance to see Sutton's room yet. And then in the last episode Sutton was on her bed which seemed to be behind the couch, with a curtain as a divider. It makes sense for her character, but it is stupid to act like moving to another borough is the worst thing. I know quite a lot of people who spent some time in NY, including one who was a high level executive at his company, but even he preferred to live outside of Manhattan to you know, save some hard earned money. It would make more sense to say that they don't want to live apart.

I think this is the worst group. Personally, I think that Cersten saved them from being completely boring. Alexandria seemed good too but she was hidden most of the time. Aaand thr choreo doesn't help, it's so boring. -
All the others had quite useful tips, but all Cassie had to say is that it's ok not to have the best expressions, when each year at least one tcc is getting roasted for her expressions. She could have said something about having to have thick skin and that she had to endure so much criticism but nooo, she had to show us once again why we didn't want her on the team in the first place.

oookay so I decided that I will probably binge watch the episodes a few months in AFTER I make sure they won't pair Upton with Jay (as in a relationship, not at work). If they go there after what they did with Linstead and the way they handled Sophia's exit, yes I'm done. At least until they hire competent writers who can actually utilize the amazing cast they have (and I mean all of them) and write at least somewhat new storylines .
-
Apparently! Btw I thought it was a two bedroom in the beginning but it seems like Sutton is sleeping in the common room/whatever this is supposed to be so she's probably paying less than half. But yeah it's not like they're trying to be realistic :p
-
Hi! I just binge watched the show and I have to say I love it. It's not groundbreaking, but it's a great summer show. I'm just not really getting their job situation tbh. Jane recently got promoted and we keep hearing how awesome she is, even though we don't see it (which happens all the time on tv). Sutton is way under appreciated even though we keep seeing her kicking ass which again, is realistic. But Kat? We only see her making mistakes, challenging all her superiors and yet she somehow became a director with two years of experience under her belt? Yes social media is relatively new, but I'm sure there are older women who could get this position. Of course she doesn't even have direct reports so i'm not sure how she is managing a department with no people in it. That just bugs me SO much. And I think bringing in a superior who would actually challenge Kat for once would be much better. Actually they said that in case she would have to walk away. They were trying to make her ask for a raise and/or benefits or quit, and said that if she indeed had to quit, they would be her safety net.
-
I'm actually confused about the kicks. Kelli just said that she has beautiful extension, maybe something about her kicks as well (I don't really remember) but definitely didn't say that she needs to work on them. I think there was a reason why she couldn't fully do the kicks at auditions-which explains why Kelli isn't worried about it. There's no way a lyrical dancer who was in any capacity involved with the rockettes would have such low kicks.

Current Squad 2017-2018: Media, Music, Videos & Show Group

I definitely think that with Kalyssa, the issue is that she doesn't really have much to support a career. Girls like Holly will always get dance gigs, even if not extremely successful. Kalyssa lacks technique and her only dance qualifications is NBA and DCC and she isn't even THAT good. There are so many rockstars in pro dance who will get all the good coaching positions, so she will be left with nothing at 30. And she doesn't have a solid career so she will probably spend her life as a receptionist. I'm not saying this is a bad thing, but a valedictorian could definitely do bigger and better. Then again, she may not have bigger aspirations and as long as she can support herself, she will be okay. However, let's be real; they say they want well rounded girls but for me it's only because they're trying to look serious and not get labeled with the bimbo cheerleader who is looking for a husband stereotype. And yet most of the girls just retire and get married and only a few of them have real careers. Jenna is still listed as a student and she is 23. I don't think I've ever seen a girl posting about her graduation or anything about college. And honestly? I don't even care if the cheerleaders have a degree or not. -
Tasha is still very young. I think Schram for example retired at 29. Tasha if I'm not mistaken is 25. And that's pretty much when we start realizing that we can't eat like pigs but can still burn it off quite easily. There are some cut vets throughout the years that were definitely too out of shape to get back on track. Caila still looks big and she is definitely more toned etc, it's just her body type. Stephanie has a kinda bigger body type as well, but more on the tone side, like Holly. So I can see why they gave them a chance. I can't see them accepting to go through a humiliating meeting like that on camera if it was really staged. But maybe they had been warned before and this was a reminder.
-
Ugh SCHRAM COME BACK. I have to say, I don't see how this is the most beautiful rookie class they've ever had. Yes they are all generically pretty BUT they don't have the absolute stunning girls they used to have (like Schram, Abigail, Kinzie, Whitney etc). AND I've noticed that not even half of them could actually hold a conversation without sounding irritating. Alexandria speaks well, Lauren too and she shows a lot of personality... Rachel is a doll but god she needs speaking classes. Savannah has the same teeth issues with Heather H. And Tara? Her blonde friend is pretty but looks super delicate and not in a good sense. Kalyssa lacks technique and it shows but she does have a lot of power. She really needs a haircut but I doubt they would do that. I loved seeing the vets because the difference is astonishing! What I don't understand about weight warnings is that they have weekly weight ins. They should get the warning when they get 3-4 pounds just to make sure they won't let themselves go completely. It's much more manageable. Why let them gain more than 8 pounds to say something? Plus I'm sorry, but they're trying to act like they want the girls to be healthy, but a woman who is doing 6 hours of cardio each day and still gains weight won't be able to lose it in a healthy way in just one month. Aaand Tasha looked SO much better now. Her shot of her rookie year solo was creepy, she looked like a skeleton compared to the sexy body she has now. I don't want her to go back to that, 2-3 pounds at most and she will be fine. Last thing: I totally saw why they are so in love with Brianna. She could be a model. She needs 1-2 years to really find her confidence and power.

Kelli said we would see Holly's ehm 'situation' on the show!
