What happened to Erica being one of the faves on this forum? Well we've always heard the rumors first here. Caila, Jenna, Holly's partying... we already knew. We've never heard a single thing about Erica. She's been with her bf for a while now and I highly doubt he would take her to Miami had she cheated on him and lost her job for it. Kelli said we would see what happened with Holly, but she keeps saying that Erica is injured. So unless -as somebody else had said- she was sleeping with jerry and Charlotte herself kicked her out, there's nothing she could have done to get cut and the only reason they are not willing to discuss her cut is that it makes the DCC looks bad. My theory? She was cut for her injury. She was out of practice for a long time and apparently she is still recovering. But if she said that she will be back in action soon, then they would have to let her be out of performances for the first month. So she was cut. But fans won't be happy with one of the faves, former cover girl being cut for something like that when a -let's admit it- hella ugly, mediocre dancer, self admitted "not a smiley cheerleader" was still on the team with an injury that caused harm to others....just because she happens to share a last name with Judy.

THANK YOU! I'm not sure why, but I can't stand her. As for the Holly/Jenna thing... what we're saying here is that Holly was forced out because she tried to hide it, but Jenna who already got in trouble once for fraternizing and was caught doing the same thing while being a group leader AND after she had that weird "ready to step up?" conversation was fine because she admitted to it? So girls, the moral of the story is f*** the rules but go tell on yourself to K&J and you are in for the long run! And don't get me wrong, I believe both of them should be out of the team, just like they did with Paige. I don't agree with the rules but if you do it to one of them, do it to all of them. At least Paige got a ring out of this.

I felt so bad for Kalyssa in this scene. I get that dancers are used to this but I'm sure having a director you probably fear grab your boob in front of the cameramans can't be comfortable. Major props to her there.

Hopefully that's not the best talent they can get on the team. Leader? For sure. Part of the triangle? Yes. I don't think she can be point, but of course maybe if she stays with the team 2-3 years, she may absolutely become point material.

THANK YOU! I'm not sure why, but I can't stand her. I've never been a fan because honestly, she looks "ugly" (normally she is a pretty girl, but in the DCC world she is definitely not), i haven't seen much to be convinced that she looks good in the DCC style... And for some reason she really comes off self absorbed. I'm not even sure why. Yeah Erica left after HOF but I don't see how we can even hope they will show what happened when they already took her out of the forst few weeks. If they really do want to talk about her forced retirement, why hide the fact that she was the GL and had to step down? They all audition so unless Kelli says something (like I think she had in the past) for a particular girl, we don't really know who asked to not be considered. I can't wait to see this. Finally someone is going to address the fact that Yuko can't dance next to the DCCs, not even the rookie candidates.

I actually think Brianna CAN do them, which is why she is still there and Erin isn't. Of course it's going to take time for her body to not be as fluid and to be more powerful, which for me Brianna can't do within the next 5-ish weeks of training camp. Lacey and Jinelle had to change the way their bodies moved in a sense as well, but they already had more experience in hip hop/pom style than Brianna. I liked that thw hip hop guy gave props to her and I kinda understand why they are keeping her as long as they can. They know she isn't ready for this year, but they are teaching her as much as they can while they still have other girls to cut.

Someone needs to hide her makeup stash altogether. Her neck is completely different and if it's SO obvious you're wearing too much makeup in a pic, that would definitely look like a mask in real life as well. She is so pretty, so i don't get why she puts so much on her face. Miranda on the other hand looks completely different with make up on. I actually didn't recognize her in her IG pics and I don't even think she looks stunning on the show. She somehow looks younger when she puts on makeup.

Yes but not even half of them are going to be on show group. So i don't see a reason to say that a girl who is obviously great at DCC style is in danger of being cut because she isn't good at two very difficult and completely different from each other genres. Exactly! I think the girls are now forced to do go through everything on their own first to have a chance at making the team. I remember Kashara saying that as preparation for auditions, girls should even take speech classes (or something like that). I totally understand that they want something more than just a great dancer but that's just not realistic. Plus tbh, apart from a few girls like JennK, I can't say that the DCCs are that polished speakers. They're just very confident and like being on the spotlight.

I think she is trying harder and combined with her looks (because she is stunning let's be real) she does look striperish. I mean her facials during the Keys choreo were definitely not what they expect out of their cheerleaders and I can't believe they haven't said anything about it. She is good as she is, I don't get why she feels the need to add stuff (like smirks and hair flips) to get noticed. And please fire whoever thought that the hideous fireball song should be used for this choreo. It doesn't even go with the moves. I also don't get why they would waste again a whole night for choreos they will never use again. Plus, even some of the vets looked awful especially during the contemporary dance. I found the media training segment to be really interesting BUT that's not a training, that's testing. I studied journalism and I wasn't a natural the first time they put me in front of a camera so i wouldn't expect a cheerleader to be amazing without attending some kind of workshop before. Aaaand I found Gina SO irritating, don't know why. The only rookies so far who I like hearing talk are Alexandria and Lauren.

I think Kalyssa is a way worse choice. In the clips we got from camp dcc (when Holly was still on the team) Tasha looked quite good-maybe not Erica/Holly/Jenna/Cersten good but they've lost most of their rockstars this year. Kalyssa on the other hand can't handle a big field. She is trying so hard to dance big as the others but she is tiny and she ends up looking out of control. Not saying she isn't good in a dance studio, but in all the clips we've seen of her she really looks out of control. And I definitely can't see how a girl with mediocre technique and shorter dance background was picked over Amy (who took Holly's spot) who is also an instructor and is definitely amazing in more than just pom dancing.

I know I am probably the only one who is still mad about this choice, but showing Erica's announcement wouldn't be out of chronological order, since this was what happened at the moment and they certainly didn't have to add "but 5 weeks from now she will be gone". They never mentioned Courtney's reason for leaving so they are obviously capable of keeping a secret without acting like the girl in question never existed. By ignoring her they made what seemed like an unfortunate cut for injury into something shady.

They always had more rich girls. If I remember correctly, Kelsi R. was rich-rich, like private plane rich. And none of these girls can really be huge strugglers. I love Danielle and she obviously needed the work, but there's no way she had no help. She was a cheerleader in NY so it's not like she had savings and the move to Texas without having a job can't be done on a cheerleader's pay. So I'm fine with it because no 'normal' girl Could support herself to be a DCC, no matter what K&J say. And yes I'd love to see the vets performing this choreo! Waaait he did this choreo? I don't remember him at all!

Oh god I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought his teaching was ridiculous. I'm sure that dancers who have worked with him a lot can understand what he is saying but random dancers can't possibly understand what "then bam then mmm then whatever" is supposed to be. I thought Brianna looked great during Kitty's workshop, which means that there is definitely potential to get the sexy out of her :p And she looked great after the makeover aka when she had makeup on and was glammed up. I'm rooting for her, but she needs to get cut, go home and take classes for a year and then come back and kill it. I think she meant that she was rushing at some counts and then slowed done a bit too much. At least that's what it looked like she was doing on the slo-mo replay they showed.

This! I think the DCC standard is to not fix something that isn't broken. That's why they don't change up their routines every year and their moves are kinda outdated (in the sense that they've been doing the same thing for years so other teams are now copying them-even if they aren't that good)... And the same thing happens on the show. Every year they say that this is the best rookie class they've ever had. The format is exactly the same with no surprises and we don't get to learn the girls or see how the vets are doing. I'd love to see again a half time, the calendar shoot, some appearances, even roommates and girls hanging out-yes they weren't very natural as segments BUT it's something different and we get to see more of the girls. I totally agree that the execution was awful, but I'd love to see the calendar shoot again-without the extra stuff. But K&J are always freaking out so we will have to deal with that :p

I wanted to ask about these guest choreographers... i know that they are using some of these choreos,but some like the one in this episode are definitely not their material. Why would they interrupt training camp where they have to learn 50 choreos with random stuff? Although I have to say, it did make me take notice of Alexis.

It's not a lie, it's an alternative fact! Yeah there's not enough time to show Erica being announced because obviously that would have taken longer than Kashara's announcement. No reason to make reality tv if you don't want to actually show anything. I think that's why people think it's becoming boring. It actually is. We see EXACTLY the same things each year, with less and less rockstars and we don't even remember the names of half the team. This year that they do have drama they chose not only to ignore it but make it worse.

Shelly didn't lie, the organization did. They literally just said that Kashara was the original group leader, which is a lie that they didn't even try to cover with good editing. I'm assuming Judy called Kashara's name and didn't just point at her so having the correct name in the announcement wouldn't be particularly difficult. And well I know how loved Shelly is in this forum and I love getting answers to some question, but her response to the Erica situation was damage control, as it's the first time she posted about something like that without being asked from one of us... and that answer was like a really badly drafted pr response. "Walking away with a smile" from a conversation they (as in the org) started, without giving an answer and although we didn't even attack them... yeah I'm walking away with a smile as well before I get tomatoes thrown at me.

I understand not showing the actual cut, but why act like you didn't actually post a picture of Erica as a group leader and that Kashara was always your first pick? They could have said later on that she had to retire for personal reasons like they did with Courtney or ignore it like they did with Amy. We would all think that it was just a career ending injury while now it's going to be blown out of proportion like Holly's cut.

But but...they got a huge dressing room, don't ask for more! Yes that was a bad move. At least other teams were hit with lawsuits and now need to allocate a bigger budget to you know, actually pay their cheerleaders.

The makeovers aren't that fun anymore because they're all glamed (glammed?) up from the start. I was so mad (and still am) about Erica that I couldn't enjoy the show at all.
