  1. + Minority Report Uncle Buck Its disturbing how lacking in originality Hollywood is. (I know some would say they've never been original, because all they do is tell old stories just "bigger & louder".)
  2. The series' tonal shift from serious to comedy/serious/camp. For me, its truly spoiled the show. Dean's voice: Ackles doesn't have a gruff voice. So its annoying hearing it, especially when Dean's voice wasn't presented that way from the very beginning. The loss of the Yellow Eyed Demon & Sam's powers. The introduction of religious deities (Angels, God, Devil, etc) doesn't mesh well with mythical or urban creatures, nor the series title of 'Supernatural'.
  3. I agree. I fell asleep twice watching it because it was so inane.
  4. I hope Roman doesn't get fully reformed because he works as a great militant killing machine for evil. Though I suspect his end will come when he sacrifices himself to save Jane which will further fuel Jane's pursuit of evil Shaw. Reade's drug descent is rapid and not that fun to watch. But liked that Patterson pulled him up on it. Overall, it was a bit of a slow episode with little story progress.
  5. I had no problem with him being the killer. In fact, I always knew one of the two were guilty from the outset, but I still felt it was poorly portrayed on-screen. Especially the final episode which felt like a quick rush to make it all make sense. (Same goes for season three's finale.)
  6. For a second successive season I feel this show has become undone when attempting to tie up its season-ending murder mystery; season two had unclear elements with the killer (Caleb) and this season it's all very..tangled. I'm sure the writers are going to try and play off their incoherent writing as deliberate suspense, but I won't be buying it. As for the finale, I thought part 1 was much better than part 2. Not sure where they're going with making the younger son Wes's dad. His age is questionable, as is his mother protecting her son who is a rapist. And if he knew he was a father, I don't know how he kept that to himself for so long. I have read above some of the theories as to why Laurel's dad would want Wes killed and they're crediable. My take on it is that Wes was a pawn and was sacrificed to hurt someone/send a message or was a tactical assassination. Going into season four I don't think there is much to get excited about to be honest.
  7. A very uneventful and anti-climatic ending; Lucy convinces Flynn to take the diplomatic option, completely disregarding his aggressive pursuit so far for such an opportunity to take out Rittenhouse all in one go. And they made him look like a fool twice over given how he got sent to prison in the end. This season has been flawed with repetitiveness and weak storytelling. Season two will not a be a priority watch for me.
  8. Wasn't aware this was to be a tv show. Seeing all the new ads for it made me think the film was being re-released for some reason. This will be an interesting watch. Hopefully the tv show can go a bit deeper on the subject matter, but also make it more entertaining/engaging, because the film came off more as a documentary than a film with a story.
  9. This seems okay so far. I wasn't expecting so much humour though, and i'm not sure it's really setting the right tone for the show overall. I was also a bit disappointed at the reveal that 'Ana' is effectively a contractor and not an independent con artist, it takes out some of the cunningness & sassiness of what makes an alluring conwoman.
  10. Frankie Faison (Sugar) also pops up on 'Luke Cage'. (Only seen the pilot of that show.)
