  1. Wait, so what happened to the Captain's kid again? Think I totally missed it haha.
  2. Thought this ep was great as well. The young actors were all awesome, especially the one playing Mick. His expressions and sayings were perfect portraying him as his younger self. Didn't get why Ray was gonna kill the guard also, just knock him out. Probably just had it and wanted to take everything out on him. Funny Terry was terrible driving the last ep, then he was driving Smitty back perfectly fine. Just needed the practice?
  3. Discuss Building off the Grid here! Surprised there wasn't a thread for Building off the Grid yet. Really liked the show watching on DIY, but recently switched to YouTube TV and they don't have it there. But did see Discovery has it also. It's the same show right? Tried looking online and didn't find much to see if there was any difference between DIY's and Discovery. Any of you guys know?
  4. Super bummed (pun intended) that's the direction they took with Smallville's Superman. But at least I was preparing for it, so I'm not disappointed. With that, we're never gonna see his Superman on screen. The dream is dead.
  5. Finale's over! They totally made it look like Nicole won part 2 on her edit vs Holly's. Holly ended up kicking her butt in it. Thought Nicole would have had a chance in that comp vs Jackson if she won part 2. Jackson did a great job arguing his case I thought with his reasoning behind it. He deserved to win that game. I think Jackson was in shock over the whole "controversy". Totally didn't see that coming at all. His mood didn't change after he won. Jack calling Will Doc was so annoying, as was his bit. We definitely needed more then 20 minutes for all the controversy's this season. So disappointed they concentrated Nicole getting shut out of the room vs Nicole getting straight up bullied by Bella and Nick. Nicole deserved an apology from them on live TV.
  6. Usually that episode I fast-forward through 90% of it. This time I only FF'd through the diary room out-takes. Win for Big Brother! Liked the way they did it with the final 3 stating their cases at the beginning. Way better then the reminiscing they've done before. Wanted so bad for Nicole to win part 1, but at this point it's Jackson's game. He's flat out dominated all the comps, and while we might not like it has played a great social game. Loved Nicole not buying his woe is me with the Jury votes.
  7. Yeah, didn't care for the Cliff dancing segment either. Just FF'd straight through that. The house must be that boring with some of these segments they find funny, that aren't.
  8. Smart game play of Jackson and Holly making a final 4 deal with Cliff and Nicole. Sucked Nicole couldn't hold on, wanted her to win. That would have set Tommy and Christie going up with each other. Better game play by not letting Tommy win HOH. Stupid game play by targeting Jess. Thought it was hilarious when Jess kept on being like "are you serious?" and laughing at him. Should have put up Cliff as a pawn if he did have the votes to stay next to Christie.
  9. How Christie pulled off that Taco Tuesday plan and it worked is beyond me. I was rooting for Jackson and Holly to start working with Cliff, Nicole & Jess to get the rest out. But now, Jackson should get evicted just for not following through with his plan. With Holly winning HOH wonder which direction they'll go now.
  10. Count me into why Analyse (who I still don't know her name) was wearing that bag haha. Couldn't figure it out for the life of me till I read down in this thread. Wanted to see more of Sam's doing if he actually planted those seeds. Did he? We got a edited down version of that argument for sure. Count me into not buying Tommy and Christie's getting pissed at the trio of them not knowing each other before or not. And I'm still confused on that. Did they? Charlies Angels with Cliff being Bosley needs to be their alliance name. Hair color on the girls is perfect. I love Nicole, only if she could win anything.
  11. I'm torn on the Bella replacement nom. Yeah, not a good move for Cliff at all. Basically a wasted HOH for him. But I'll never forgive her or Nick's treatment of Nicole and didn't like at all the possibility of them working with Cliff, Nicole and the others. So I'm fine with her going up and getting sent out. Just not a good move, but hopefully it does buy Cliff some safety for next week.
  12. Finished watching this season a few days ago. Overall, I like it enough to keep watching. Mostly cause I was interested in who was behind the God account. The S1 cliff-hanger was good enough for me to get me to tune into next season. Had a couple questions though. First, what are Miles' window treatments where he does his podcast? Do they serve any purpose? I can't figure them out haha. Second, do all NYC'ers always dress like that? It seems they're always in business casual clothes, never anything casual (t-shirts, etc.) or hats. It's been a while since I've been to the city haha. Also find it funny that Miles' and his guests use (I'm guessing) bluetooth headphones. When you see Sports Talk simulcast on TV they're always connected in. There's a reason for that, quality.
  13. So Tamar won cause I guess she needed the money? Nothing in her game play deserved it. Count me in thinking Ricky was gonna win in a landslide (based on game play). At least he shouldn't need the money (honestly don't know, even though I'm a Dolphins fan) from his NFL career. He won competitions, made a huge move in voting Lolo out at the end. His answers sucked, after those thought he was in trouble. I'm still confused as hell as to what the "Mooch's" contribution to the show was. No idea Ryan and Joey were best friends after Ryan's bromance with Jon. Who won favorite house guest? Turned it off after Tamar won.
  14. Who couldn't guess something was going to happen when Parker test (thought it was then) drove those boats? Looked super dangerous. Sucks for Mitch, Parker better give him a big bonus. I'm sure he will since he feels terrible about it. Hopefully next season Rick gets better ground, his guys all seem hardworking and want to learn.
  15. So I ended up watching when I said I probably wouldn't. They really shouldn't call this "Celebrity Big Brother". Most of these people definitely aren't celebrity's. Are we supposed to know Lindsay Lohan's Mom from anything? It's like they went and asked her, but since she's doing some other reality show I saw commercials for they said, okay we'll take your Mom. Don't really care for any of these people yet, but Tom Greene made me laugh out loud a few times. So right now I hope he wins. I feel old I know Joey Lawerence from Blossom. Liked Lolo, purple hair girl, Ricky Williams (just cause I'm a Dolphins fan), dare I say Kato? The rest are a big meh.
  16. Pretty surprised that Tyler ended up losing to Kaycee. Thought for sure he had it in the bag, especially when Julie started pulling out his votes at first. Thought he played a great game. Sam definitely felt betrayed by Tyler though, especially when he called her his "wildcard". That's what cost him there, and what cost him the game. That should have been his vote. He played such a great game, winning comps, social game, strategizing. Kaycee ended up being great at comps, but didn't do much else. Happy for her, but he should have won. On finale night they really need to spend more time with the evicted house guests that didn't make the jury (since they can watch the entire season). Even if it's just one segment, them spilling the dirt was funny a few years ago when they were doing it. Don't know if I'll watch Celebrity Big Brother this season. Last season was kinda meh, most of them were faking it and shouldn't have been there (outside of them actually being "celebrities").
  17. I'm sure this has been asked before and I'm sorry for doing it again, but what the hell is in "Rockstar's" hair? Coupled that with her glasses, she looks like a clown. The "eyelash" in the diary room made me gag a little. With all that stuff off, she actually looks pretty. I can't take her seriously with all that stuff on. Never knew Angela's name before she won the HOH. Same thing still applies to the female football player. Don't get Bayleigh mad at you. Good luck there C. I know this is from the last ep, but him meeting her parents is just crazy to me without her being there. Do they live in the same city or something? Props to Haleigh for winning the hacker comp. And more kudos to her replacing Scottie with Tyler. Funny how the other side of the house keeps getting blindsided 3 weeks in a row.
  18. So this is the way they get old people in the house! Wanted to like it more then I did, but yeah more then half the people are just on there to sell things. Rudy! There's prob 3 real "celebrities" on the show in Chuck, Meta, and Shanon. Omarosa too I guess in the political world? We'll see if this keeps my interest, it seems it'll be more staged then usual.
  19. Totally missed that, thanks! That definitely adds to the further strangeness that they never showed the FSSD graphics when they're using those announcers. That's def a nice touch for Padres fans that they were used though.
  20. Like this show for the most part. It's staying on my DVR for now. The thing I find interesting is it looks like they have full cooperation in being able to use the stadiums and uniforms (just can't wear active player numbers). But all the undershirts are all wrong. It looks like they're using the generic Nike ones since it doesn't have any Padres logos on it. Plus the swoosh looks bigger then what the authentic ones MLB players wear. Then in the last episode, one of the players was wearing a Padres Nike t-shirt that is sold to us. For those that don't know, for what ever reason Nike sells different t-shirts and undershirts to us then what the players actually wear. They always get a swoosh on the collar for all the undershirts and t-shirts if they wear those under the jersey's. The other thing that I'm nitpicking at is obviously not every player is endorsed by Nike. There's Adidas, Under Armour, New Balance just to name a few and a bunch of players just wear "generic" official MLB undershirts with no swoosh. So I'm guessing there's some sort of agreement with Nike here as a sponsorship of the show (esp with last weeks episode where they endorse her) that everybody wears them on the team. So I find it really interesting that they have some sort of sponsorship with Nike, but don't get the authentic stuff. The other main gripe I have with this show is why is every game on Fox Sports 1? I get Fox is trying to promote the channel (which is prob the reason), but the Padres play on FSSD which would be nice to see used. Maybe since Ginny being the first woman ball player MLB and Fox would show every game on Fox Sports 1, but I doubt it. Sorry for the rants, but I just wished it was a bit more authentic in those area's coming from a baseball fan. It always irks me when I know a show/movie is in a certain time period and I see baseball caps in them and they have the '47 or New Era logos on the side of the caps when I know they didn't exist in those time periods. Costume designers have failed me in those occasions haha.
  21. Can't they at least have the nomonees dress the same when they do the vote? Completely obvious who was going home. At least John's speach was pretty original and funny.
  22. As a fellow Penn Stater, stop nominating John! That is all, carry on. No way I'd let him do work on my teeth though haha.
  23. Glad I'm not the only one disappointed in the nominations. Was there some strategic reasoning we didn't see?
  24. Thought we needed a thread where we can ask questions all about Big Brother. To start off, mine are: 1. Clothes. I've noticed this and past seasons the players wear college gear (t-shrits, hats, sweatshirts, etc.). But everything else is pretty generic and you don't see any pro team gear. Does Big Brother not allow them to wear pro (NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, etc.) team gear, or just has anyone not gone on yet with any? Everything else is pretty generic in what they wear. 2. Religion. There definitely seems to be a Christian theme in players thanking God, reading the Bible and such. I know players of other religions have been on, but you don't really hear them talk about their religion much. Definitely not as much as the Christian players do. More of an observation. 3. Books. Is the Bible the only book allowed in the house? Don't recall seeing any other books being read. I know they usually get 1 CD when they're HOH, but didn't know if books were also in the house. 4. Slop. What is it made of?
