  1. Yeah, he puts her in the trunk, but you'd think his two dogs would give him away if anything.
  2. The opening scene in this one made me laugh it was so over the top. The bedpan hitman is shown returning from buying his grandmother's pain medicine while also helping a disabled woman. He kills people for money, but he's actually a nice regular guy. Oh brother. None of these people make any logical sense that I can buy into.
  3. The bedpan hitman was built up to be "good at what he does". Yet he enters a home at 10:00 am, when people are bound to be up and alert? 4:00 or 5:00 am is when you catch them sleeping. Everybody knows that.
  4. "The easiest thing for me to do now would be to apologize. But it's important for you to understand why I can't do that. That guy, in your house, he was a professional. Whoever hired him was serious about putting an end to me, and in my experience that means putting an end to anyone close to me. Keeping you alive and safe, that became the priority, Zoe." Oh please. Dan met Zoe after going on the run from another hitman, so he's aware that just being around others is putting them at risk. Zoe must have seemed like the perfect victim who needed rescuing. Dan likes to think of himself as a hero, but he's really selfish and dangerous. That's my take after this episode, but there's so many twists and turns that it may change.
  5. So we keep hearing. But we're given no clues as to what that could mean, other than "Did you fuck my wife?" A love triangle grudge that's simmered for thirty years? Please no.
  6. A few random thoughts. I suspect Chase wants to take Zoe away in order to kill her. No witnesses. Hard to believe this killer/caregiver who's lived off the grid thirty years wants to be encumbered by a woman he's known for two days. Every woman in the show has a "When I was a young girl" story, even Hazmad's wife. Terrible, trite character building. Emily's story is too implausible to believe and I don't care. The flashback scenes have a cheap look about them. At this point I'm only watching for Bridges and Lithgow's brilliant performances, which far outshine the material.
  7. Yes, but Unexpected Doctor Switch is almost always a bad sign. Could also be a red herring though.
  8. I can just picture a review on AirBnB: Great location in large guest house that looks like a flipped firehouse. Easy check-in (key under the mat). However, Superhost Zoe was Super over-friendly and claimed cooking her meals was a requirement which the ad should have made clear. It did not. Moreover, we were immediately drawn into some financial drama with her ex-husband that made us uncomfortable. If you're looking for privacy and relaxation, look elsewhere.
  9. I can't understand why he requested "almond milk, no dairy" to the Safehouse Rental guy after drinking a mug of melted butter. More evidence of dementia or are they just messing with us?
  10. I half-expect to hear Rod Serling's voice saying "Dan Chase doesn't know it yet but he's just entered the Twilight Zone". The doctor switch must have meaning, right? The new doctor isn't familiar with Dan and seems a little dismissive or distracted. I disagree with his diagnosis of no cognitive impairment.
  11. Is Waters talking about Chase or Angela's boss Harper?
  12. 🤦‍♀️ Maybe he IS losing his mind.
  13. I can't stop thinking about this show. I have the feeling that some things will remain unanswered or "open ended" as Bridges says in the promo, so I'm trying not to drive myself insane, but about that converted firehouse or guest house he's renting. Is it Zoe's ex-husband who lined that up? It was weird to me that Zoe would want to go out to dinner and Chase would accept after getting beat up, with killers on his tail and his face all banged up. I thought she was trying to separate him from the dogs and they'd be gone or dead when they returned. I just don't trust her and don't know why Chase would either. It's like suddenly they've found their soulmates but I'm not buying it.
  14. Maybe, but I'm beginning to doubt anyone is who they claim to be. I wonder why Harper would be looking up her driver's license. Good to see she's an organ donor though - that may be useful to someone in need. lol To me it also seemed to be a little soon for her to be crying over a bounced check to someone she just met.
  15. Who is Zoe really, and why is she so concerned about the dogs?
  16. Chase still burns metal in the microwave, but I love his old school methods. They're very effective.
  17. Oh I like that idea! The dogs look like the hellhound from The Omen. It was almost too convenient that the landlady becomes a romantic interest right away, but I'm willing to go along on the ride if it's not too sappy.
  18. We all know how much the Dude loved Creedence. The lyrics are almost eerie.
  19. The show grabbed my attention from the get go. I noticed that Chase affectionately calls his daughter "kiddo". Harper calls his young associate, who also worries about him, "kiddo". Probably means nothing but I'm terrible at guessing these black ops/spygames. Maybe I'm just getting old myself but Bridges at 72 is still looking fine. 😉
  20. I saw that one. Priscilla was a piece of work. Was glad to hear that Mary went on to live a successful life and overcame such awful beginnings.
  21. I recently read an article on Short Creek and while there are still some FLDS there, it's slowly recovering into somewhat of a tourist town. https://www.kuer.org/arts-culture-religion/2021-07-15/from-polygamous-refuge-to-tourist-town-residents-adapt-to-the-transformation-of-short-creek I'm still not sure if I'd buy cookies from this woman however.
  22. I can't remember where I read that, but when I went to sign up for the Starz trial it says nothing about it, only that the premier episode will be Jun. 12th. I'm with you, and don't really enjoy binging. Now we just need episode threads!
