OK, I have heard of the Sears tower. Interesting to read that Jinjer would proselytize on an airplane. I haven't taken that many plane trips, but ew! I would hate to sit next to someone like that!

I grew up in Seattle, and remember going up maybe 60? stories in an office building downtown as a teenager. And of course, the Space Needle from the '62 World's Fair. There have been much taller buildings constructed, since then. My daughter has been to Chicago for a work conference a couple of years ago. I'll have to ask her if she went to the Willis. She did go to a Cubs game. I agree with you; $2 for a bag? Uh-uh. I wouldn't, either.

Great post. 100 likes from me. Just curious; what is the Willis Tower? I don't get out much.

So now she's shilling a mask? Gawd. Is it awful of me to say she looks better with the mask? Shame on me.

Christine Brown Woolley: Nacho Sister Wife Anymore
xwordfanatik replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
I would too! That scenario would be perfect. Here's hoping! I love her attitude! She and Gwen are snarky, and it suits them. -
I see her hashtags at flaunting herself, and as an FU to her family. "Ha ha, I'm free of you all, and better than you are, but you better include me in all your get-togethers, or I'll blubber myself silly, and be more of a bitch than I usually am." No wonder they can't stand her. If we witness just what we see on the show, and all her stupid postings, I shudder to think what the others have to put up with, in real life! Especially her "bonus" kids, who she doesn't want to bother with, except some of Robyn's.

Christine Brown Woolley: Nacho Sister Wife Anymore
xwordfanatik replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
Why, Christine? Do you REALLY think you're going to make any money? Are former customers of Meri's and Maddie's encouraging you to do this, having been treated like shit? Nope, she ain't gonna give it her all. That would entail selling in the evening and on the weekend, when the misguided souls that buy this crap have time to shop online. Kohola, you are too much! Love it. "Kootie's hand-me-down laptop." Only Meri & Robyn ever rated the best stuff that wasn't ready to die. -
Your hashtags are great! Question: how does she get her head through that doorway? Ooh! She's as pissy as Meri! Touchy, touchy! Neither Meri nor Mariah can dill with anything but comments telling them how fantastically wonderful they are. Barf.

Mariah has the gift of making everything that happens, all about her. Having narcissistic parents tends to do that, I'm guessing.

Me as well, Sandy! Yes, DD was very gleeful about the "scoop" he had about the Brown's lots. BFD. Funny how "he" defends Meri, the Mean Girl Personified.
-
If DD is in fact a man, he'll be happy to know I think he's the King of Bitchy. I worked with someone like that. A hot bag of wind, and never shut his pie hole. One of the many reasons I was glad to retire, and get out of the snake pit I worked in. I have a lot of fun here. I'm snarky. I'll give Meri credit for staying busy. I just remembered how she said "I'm not gonna babysit the other mom's kids." Some bonus mom she turned out to be. All for one? Don't make me laugh.

True. Joshley couldn't pretend to be "fetch" on his best day. -
Josiah and Lauren: He Has To Marry Somebody
xwordfanatik replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
Interesting! I love antiques, and since being married, usually bought used furniture, and other things, at thrift shops/yard sales, until we had worked several years. The houses we bought have both had previous owners. It's like something I read about Billy Bob Thornton a while back. He is apparently afraid of antiques or anything that has had previous owners. It may be fear/aversion to ghosts. I don't think my parents ever bought used. My in-laws did, and my mother-in-law actually triggered me to love old stuff. It's fun to read about other people's likes and dislikes. -
Absolutely. I watched the Jessa/Ben wedding episode, and even the guy that married them, and gave them pre-marital counseling, even said that kissing someone before marriage wasn't forbidden in the bible. This thing about waiting to kiss, until marriage, is just bizarre, and I don't know why, since Ma & Pa Kettle did that before marrying, that they're so down on the whole idea. And the clapping in church when they believe the couple waited for that? I don't get it. No doubt, Ma & Pa wanted to control their offspring forever by these stupid rules that they themselves, didn't have to live. I can't even fathom doing that. Guilt tripping seems to work for them, and it just puzzles me.

@lettsjetts, I can't speak for anyone else, but when it comes to this show, that forum was funny as hell. No doubt they are buying the Browns' bullshit, and it really would be even funnier if in fact, they are family members or sycophants that just think the Browns are wonderful. They probably are proud customers of Meri's, at least! They freak out if anyone dares criticize anything Brown, and resort to name-calling. Whatever. Fine and dandy. If I'm a "bitchy woman," that's OK too. "I calls them like I sees them." The two main posters there can't dill with what I at least, think is the truth. They're entitled, but guess what? So am I!
-
Could be. I didn't see any early shows, so I don't know the timeline, or when they crossed over to big bucks. I just see Michelle as a judger of whom would "deserve" help, and all about Me-Chelle.

Josiah and Lauren: He Has To Marry Somebody

Either he's happier, or Si has learned to smile less "forced." His skin looks better, too. Regular sex must agree with him. As Jilly would say, "Yay!"- 6.4k replies

So being a lesbian disqualified her from her millionaire sister's help? Not very christian of Ma Kettle.

I like Diana's and daughter's diastema smiles. I have a small one myself, and had it duplicated when I had my upper "smile 6" teeth crowned several years ago. Ooh, does SIL (don't know her name) show a hint of naughty cleavage there? I like her already. Nothing fundie about that!

I have the Urban Dictionary bookmarked, and I need to consult it more often :) My previous kitty crossed the bridge 5 years ago. We had him for almost 19 years, and I still miss him. We got a kitty a couple months later, and Lucy's wonderful, too. I'm a cat lover. Honestly, I'm shocked that Meri and Robyn have any fans. It's even more surprising that Meri sells her LuLaNO (I use that "ridiculous" name proudly) to anyone, considering how other posters have commented on how snotty she is during her "pop-up-sales." Meri must really have kicked herself a zillion times, if it's true, that she suggested Doofus dance with Robyn. Look what former HBIC started!!

So dearest Mariah acknowledges that she's a drama queen? Just like mama Meri, with bringing up the catfish shit all over again. Apple, you never had a chance, with that tree.

Natalie, if I didn't ask you before, I'm asking you now. Will you be my spiritual sister wife? Great post, and I totally agree. Although it's impossible for me to understand, it seems that even Meri has a defender or two. Probably Robyn does, too. I don't like the She-Ra thing either, probably because my daughter had a She-Ra doll collection in the 80's! I'm pretty good at figuring out acronyms, but BEC has me stumped. Google is my friend! ETA: Got it! Perfect. Meri's still fuming at Robyn becoming HBIC.

S08.E10: Jinger's Double Surprise/S08.E11 Kendra Has A Baby
xwordfanatik replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
Mr. Xword grew up with the green can. We don't have, what is it? 4C here in Warshington (one of my pet peeves: hearing my state pronounced that way.) I'm lactose intolerant, so I buy the little block of real parmesan in the deli section, for when Mr. wants pasta or something that requires it, and just add it to his portion. Fondue was popular in the 70's, and we got a fondue pot for a wedding gift. Although I don't like Austrils, I don't double dip, so I get his aversion to it. The Duggars probably have resistance to every germ imaginable, but not everyone grows up in a house full of germs. They probably think hand sanitizer is for heathens!? Hehe, Mr. Xword grew up calling Kraft parmesan, athlete's foot! Sorry if that grosses anyone out. -

Ugh! Were Dillweed and Silly Jilly there, too? I noticed that, too! Was he homeschooled? Not disparaging homeschoolers in general, but the fundies on this show seem to be lacking.
