  1. I had the exact same thought. It's always good to know I'm not the only one who thought it was strange. I completely agree. He wasn't even in the room or part of the process for creating the final agreement, beyond suggesting the idea. She was the one who agreed to go forward. I like the idea of Bull being on trial, but this was the wrong way to do it.
  2. I thought that's what she was doing. Wasn't her original plan to go through the baby stuff and figure what she wanted to keep/use again and what she wanted to get rid of? I thought the stuff she was getting rid of was going to Goodwill or something like that. Did she say she planned to throw them in the trash and I missed it?
  3. I thought Beverly had a good point in that Penny doesn't complain about Leonard. They could have bonded over his odd habits/idiosyncrasies, but they didn't. Agreed. I remember reading somewhere (and this could be total myth) is that the guys who were the biggest players or at least thought of themselves that way tend to be the most protective of their daughters.
  4. I could totally see Amy agreeing to a Star Trek themed wedding reception if Sheldon agrees to a Little House on the Prairie themed honeymoon. The honeymoon will involve trains, so Sheldon will be happy.
  5. I didn't see that as a baseball signal. I thought that was Leonard trying to imitate the signal from The Sting. Leonard referencing an old movie (even one that isn't sci-fi/fantasy) made more sense than him referencing baseball. I did think it was sweet of Leonard to offer her a way out if she wanted it.
  6. I loved this episode. It totally felt like something vintage MacGyver would have done. It's so cute Ralph has a crush. I can't wait for the team to offer dating/love advice, after he asks for it.
  7. I agree. They're at an age when they could have them deal with some really interesting issues. I'd love for them to play out Rear Window with live feed from some type of security camera, or have them be in the wrong place at the wrong time and deal with the fallout or have them try to clear their names (with help from Jamie).
  8. There's an episode of Friends where Joey and Ross are competing for the same woman, and they keep poking at the other (Ross brings Joey's PSA for STD awareness, Joey mentions Ross's ex-wives, and so on). It was fantastic and I wish tonight's episode had done more of that with Raj and Stuart.
  9. I thought they were more or less in the middle of nowhere when it comes to walking. Wouldn't Collins die of something being alone out there with no food or shelter? Also, this show has really upped the stupid, but that is something they tend to do the first episode of the season, then it goes back to normal (which is to say a lower level of stupid/slightly higher level of believability). I think they mentioned that he stays with a neighbor, but that was in another episode.
  10. I thought the line meant, if there was a choice between educational programming and entertainment programming, educational programming would win. I don't know what was playing against Next Generation, but if there was nothing Sheldon deemed educational, then he would watch Next Generation.
  11. Having watched the episode, I thought Missy was one of the highlights. I hope we see more of her and the writers give her some interesting stuff to do. I would love to see this. I'll bet the first contract is with Missy or George and the issue is watching TV.
  12. My understanding was that DuckTales was on in the afternoon and that ST:TNG would have been on at night. That being said, I would love to see Sheldon having to fight (even if it's with words/logic) for the TV to watch Star Trek. I would love to see Sheldon's experiments and inventions. As for a built in expiration date, that depends. One season doesn't have to equal one school year. Of course, this is made difficult by the fact that you don't know how child stars are going to age/develop.
  13. In high-school, I started watching reruns of the Clive Anderson version of Whose Line Is It Anyway and loved the show. In college, I did a summer semester abroad in London. We had access to discount tickets for an improv club, so I bought one of the tickets. Off to the side of the stage, I thought I saw a woman who looked like Josie Lawrence but I thought, "It couldn't be her. She was on TV. She wouldn't be at some random improv club." As it turns out, it was her. It was before smartphones and I didn't have my camera with me so I didn't get a picture with her. I did get her autograph after the show. She was impressed I knew her from Whose Line Is It Anyway . I guess she didn't realize the British version was rerun in America for as long as it had been.
  14. @dungeonwriter I love all of this. Although I would make one small change. Penny knows all of the ins and outs to the sci-fi universe she is a part of. At conventions and in interviews, whenever someone asks the cast a question about backstory, how things work or what would happen if, she is the go to person. Even if the question is directed at another cast member, he or she will say "That's totally a Penny question." However if it's about actual real world science or comparing it to another property/franchise, she will say "I'm going to phone a friend, actually he's my husband. Leonard? Where are you? Come up here!" Leonard will come up and answer the question. It's become sort of a routine between them.
  15. I didn't notice the episode didn't end with a party until you mentioned it. I do like the big parties at the end of the episode. I suppose the in-universe explanation would be that Bull took what Marissa said to heart and is cutting a back a teeny-tiny bit on expenses. Reasons why you might see Chunk sing: 1. Practicing for/appearing in the Law School Talent Show and everyone goes to support him. (I doubt these are actually a real life thing but they totally sound like something that could exist in TV Land). 2. Dream Sequence 3. Musical episode (could be combined with number 2).
  16. I've always figured the series finale would be Henry's death and funeral. Maybe his death is the second to last episode of the series, but the series ends with his death and one of Danny's sons graduating the academy, taking us full circle to the pilot with Jamie's graduation.
  17. I don't think we saw enough of the boys to say they are acting normal. We saw them for maybe a minute or two doing their homework, and then excited about having an actual backyard. Given everything that's happened, maybe the backyard is the one thing they've been excited about since the loss of their mother and their house. We don't know what Jack and Sean talk about when they are alone in their bedroom at night. For some reason I'm assuming they are sharing a bedroom. I would love to know where everyone is sleeping. Do we know how many bedrooms the house Frank and Henry share has? Is Danny back in his old childhood bedroom? Actually, I think Jamie gets story lines on a fairly regular basis. I'd like to see Jack or Sean get more storylines. Nicki's gotten a story line or two, and now that Jack and Sean are older, it's possible to do some interesting things with their lives. I'm pretty Jack is still too young. I think you have to be older than 18 and have graduated college or served in the military to enter the police academy. Me too! She had that amazing storyline in "Manhattan Queens" which showed what she was capable of, and they haven't given her anything nearly as interesting to do since that episode. Jamie was never married. They were engaged, but she called off the engagement, which is totally different from divorce. I can totally envision this. I see two scenarios: Scenario 1: Jamie and his partner are at a bar and they see a drunk. Jamie keeps looking at him. Edie finally asks him what he's looking at. Jamie says there's a drunk who looks just like Danny, but it can't be Danny. It's Danny. Scenario 2: Jamie has a friend who's going through a difficult time. When Jamie gets a call from a bar saying you need to come here, Jamie thinks it's his friend, but the viewer gets a surprise (not really) when it turns out to be Danny who needs help.
  18. Different things matter to different people. She may be totally fine with using birth control and not attending Mass on a regular basis, but has strong feels about abortion and believes it's wrong. I agree. Maybe she rejected or does not follow most of the beliefs and teachings of the religion, but being pro-life is important to her, even if she views it as a personal decision and not what is best for all women everywhere.
  19. Same here. I was confused and wondered if I had forgotten something big in the season finale. At first, I thought maybe they were separated. I could imagine after something tragic like their house being attacked, they might need some time apart to work things out. I was shocked when I found out they killed her off between the end of season 7 and the start of season 8. I was totally surprised too!
  20. I have never heard the term before but I now love it.
  21. My understanding was that pregnancy tests had gotten so sophisticated and accurate that they were able to measure pregnancy far earlier than in the past. Many times something goes wrong very early in the pregnancy, so it's technically a miscarriage even though the fetus (not sure if that's the correct term but I'm going with it for now) was only weeks old. A woman today may be aware that she miscarried when a decade or two earlier she would not have even known she was pregnant, especially if she had irregular periods.
  22. I like this idea. I'd love to see what it's like for Missy to longer be in the same class as her genius twin brother. She's no longer in his shadow and gets to develop more of her own identity.
  23. I'm going to make prediction based on the fact that Bernadette is pregnant and Amy said yes to the proposal. Bernadette's water is going to break during Amy and Sheldon's wedding.
  24. My guess is that will come later. I thought Missy was fantastic. I hope we see more of her. Aside from dinner table fights over silly stuff, I wonder what the relationship/dynamic is like between George and Missy.
  25. I don't think so. Leonard and Penny both agree that they do not want kids at this point. Often a break-up is the result of one person wanting kids, while the other does not. I think that was answered with the multiple variations of "we were careful." They were using some method of birth control, and whatever they were using failed. I agree. Neither one cares about the anniversary and missing it wasn't a big deal to either person. It's one person cares more than the other that problems occur. I totally thought this was going to happen last season with the empty apartment in the building. I thought for absolute certain that Raj and Stuart were going to move in together. Funny plot opportunities: 1. They're mistaken for a gay couple. 2. Someone mistakes Raj or Stuart for the baby's father and they go along with it. 3. The baby calls Raj or Stuart dad instead of Howard.
