  1. I noticed that and was going to say the same thing except you replied first! GMTA! The breakfast looks delicious, but scant. I would still be hungry.
  2. Clarification time, I guess. I am not pro-Browns, and the Strive posts I share are on a public Facebook account, it doesn’t have anything to do with a subscription. I shudder thinking anyone thought any of the above. Aw. I sincerely apologize. Although to be honest, I certainly don't expect anyone to think as I do or believe as I do - and if anyone on the board is pro-Browns, they are just as entitled to post here as people who are not. I still stand by the very last bit I wrote though. If someone cannot play piano, they should not charge other people to teach them the instrument. If you cannot sing - do not become a voice coach. If you can't play sports.... well... you get the gist. If you can't lose any weight over a decade or more - why are you charging people to help them lose weight? It just seems strange to me.
  3. I think you are right. I was trying to be nice since the poster has always been pro-Browns and obviously subscribes to Strive since we get to see what Janelle posts.... but even as I wrote my reply I was wondering how someone can inspire others to exercise/eat right/lost weight when she doesn't even do it for herself.
  4. I wrote a post and after thinking about it a bit, I changed my mind. Unfortunately we can't delete posts.
  5. And to give credit where credit is due -she has toned down the orange tint and no longer looks like an over-grown Oompah Loompah.
  6. I couldn't. People are mean and harsh. But if she DID read what people wrote, you would think she would stop drawing her eyebrows like that. If 29, 987 people out of 30,000 people comment that her eyebrows are totally bizarre, lopsided, elongated and weird - why does she continue to draw them like that? You can discount what one person or even a few people say... but when the majority of people are saying it - it's likely the truth and it's embarrassing. You would think, anyway.
  7. So both of her kids have special needs. MANY people have a special kiddo, myself included - so that was not a slam against her. But I DO wonder if they will have more children, or consider genetic counseling first.
  8. Well there's still corn cobs.
  9. I watched this so long ago, I don't remember now if we discussed this - but your post just now reminded me of it. Charlotte was one of 12 kids or so? And raised on a farm with a family of modest means. How did she end up with so many different dresses and accessories?
  10. Well I can understand being shocked when a couple of women actually WANT to shell out some money for basically nothing in return. Two responses WOULD be overwhelming for her. I hope she doesn't blow that money on Fritos!
  11. Isn't she the wife that Kody said he didn't like to kiss? Guess she didn't need the full lip anyway.
  12. There are a LOT of people out there who are "star struck" no matter how lame or slight the fame might be.
  13. As P.T. Barnum once said.......................................
  14. But they will have so many lovely pot holders, coasters and knickknack paddywacks to display around their home! It's a win-win!! 😄
  15. It's just a ploy to sell over-priced knickknacks. It doesn't cost her a cent to allow someone to spend the night there for free - when most likely it's someone who wouldn't have driven there to stay in the B&B anyway. Meri needed to squeeze some more money out of her fan club and came up with Ca-ching-o Bingo. The game where people have to buy stuff they don't want or need to win something they also don't want or need.
  16. You can make your own mayonnaise, too - but it's tricky as hell, so why do it? Kerrygold butter. In a store near you.
  17. Regardless of when Truely was in the hospital and when Kody legally married Robyn - the FACT remains that Robyn HADDDDDDDDDD to have a 6 bedroom house in PRICEY Flagstaff, Arizona because Dayton went to school there for a New York minute and then decided it wasn't for him - and they had to all move there to support him....and EVERYONE had to have their own bedroom and personal spa room and home office and own gym and Ysabel DOES need the surgery and although we certainly don't know the particulars - it doesn't look like Kody will do squat to help come up with some of the money. Yes, that's an assumption. But based on umpteen seasons, I've NEVER once thought that Kody seemed particularly fond of any of his kids, except Robyn's. My opinion.
  18. I think part of the reason they do this is for the safety of kids. In the winter I see young kids walking to the bus stops (we have two different schools drop off and pick up near me) and it is still pitch black. They change the clocks and it is much lighter - and maybe a creep would feel less hidden if he grabbed some kid. At least that's what I tell myself when I change my clocks.
  19. Oh nice! I LOVE community craft sales! I have no doubt that Meri determined how much they were going to charge for these hot pads. And with Covid, I can understand that they have to do whatever they can to "save the farm". Still, that's pretty steep considering times are tough for their customers, too.
  20. Doesn't Janelle put bacon (and ranch dressing) on almost everything? That's a serious question. It seems like she is always adding bacon to her concoctions.
  21. Eons ago there was a family that rented the house next door to us. They might have been polygamists as there was more than one wife-aged woman, but they kept to themselves and were VERY unfriendly and made it clear that they wanted to keep to themselves so we never asked. Their kids played with our kids but they were really young - I think the oldest were around 3 or 4. The guy was mean as heck to everyone. After 2-3 years the family moved out. The owners of the property hired someone from their church to come clean the place up for the next renters, and the people walked in - and they walked out without cleaning it. The next thing we knew, some people came and removed ALL of the carpeting, rolled it up and hauled it away. When I saw the owners' adult son (whom we knew) I chitchatted with him for a bit and then asked him what was going on. He said that the house was complete infested with cockroaches - it was the worst case of infestation anyone had ever seen. The people who were supposed to clean the house refused because I guess cockroach eggs can stick to the bottom of your shoes from the carpet and you can take it back to your own home. I'm not sure how true that is, but that is what I was told. He said that there were all of these open coffee cans full of bacon fat, and they think that's how this roach problem got out of control. I was terrified that once they cleaned the house out that the roaches were going to travel over to our house - but it never happened. (THANK HEAVENS!) And to this day I keep bacon grease in the fridge in a jar with a lid on it. It would probably be fine in a cupboard with a tight-fitting lid. We always used to keep Crisco unfridged. Do they still make Crisco?
  22. I agree. And while potholders are a necessity if you cook or bake, I have to say that I am really hard on them. They get stained and have been burned a time or two (mostly by one of my kids when they were learning to cook, lol.) They don't stay pretty for long in my house. 😞 So ... yeah.... I wouldn't want to pay $30 even if money weren't tight like it is right now.
  23. I agree. It's very plausible that in the early years with three wives and a herd of kiddos, they couldn't afford health insurance.. and, well by golly - look! They didn't even NEED it! They got by just fine without it. And all of the babies were delivered at home - I believe Truely was the first hospital birth? (I could be mistaken, but I thought that was what they said.) So as the years rolled by, this group of Einsteins decided that since they got away with not having health insurance for all of those many years, why bother getting it at all? Their kids were pretty healthy - they had been lucky (no major accidents) - so why bother. Except life isn't always predictable and nice and neat. And serious illnesses strike and accidents befall even the lucky people. Do these people carry car insurance? I had so many kids and so close together, car insurance (with all of those boys, particularly, on my policy) was a nightmare! Each kid had to work and pay for his own car insurance. That was the deal. I didn't have any affluent, coddled kids. And they bought their own cars, too. I cannot fathom the Browns paying for car insurance for their kids, but I suppose all of the adults have some type of car insurance, no matter how crappy.
