  1. I bet we see it in the "Remember when?" clip show when it's the final two.
  2. It amuses me that JC keeps trying to create chaos and problems for other people in the house (like with the stray Kaitlyn vote) and it just doesn't work. And you have Bayleigh mischaracterize her conversation with Tyler--I don't think she even really thought much about how she said it to Rachel, and it creates all this discord in L6.
  3. She's like some of the people who wound up on What Not to Wear. They see themselves as quirky and different and interesting, and feel like their clothes need to be like that to reflect their personalities.
  4. I also don't remember Tregaye winning, but I did like her a lot more tonight than I remember liking her during her season. I was yelling at Christian to, at the very least, button up one more button on his shirt. I really don't need to see that much chest hair on a food show. And I wasn't surprised that he went on to pilot, even though his presentation and food were worse than Amy's. He was clearly the favored contestant. Manny does seem like the best of the options left; this episode was the first time I actually enjoyed his presentation, probably because he was a bit more subdued (harnessed his energy?) and not so over the top. Duff is the best.
  5. Bay was going nuts as HOH. One of the many things that frustrates me about that alliance was illustrated when Fessy was trying to talk to her about JC; he was laying out a rational reason for not nominating JC, but all Bay heard was "You aren't just falling in line immediately with what I'm saying." The other alliance works decently well because they can have conversations debating the best move. I think they made the wrong decision in getting rid of Kaitlyn, but at least it was a decent discussion. The attitude of Bay and Hay towards Fessy was obnoxious--and I don't even really like the guy.
  6. Huh, I also was thinking that she was someone who just consulted in the ICU--and had picked up enough from working there to know what to do in that situation. TIL!
  7. Tyler just keeps making me like him more. I loved the moment with JC, when JC was all, "Just vote for Winston and keep quiet and we'll handle it," and Tyler was all, "OK." And the Kaitlyn coming up with Sam's power being used to switch the votes so Winston left. Tyler managed to set things up so he just needs to lay low and he'll be in a good spot. LOVED the thumbs up during the conversation with Kaitlyn. Sam's speech made zero sense, particularly since she knows that whoever goes home has the chance to come back! She's needlessly pissing people off. And I understand not wanting people in the HOH room without her, but she didn't have to shut people down that much. Even a "I know who I'm going to nominate, but am around if people want to hang out with me up here." And that nomination speech was just awful.
  8. Interpreting the order of the keys in the wheel was awesome. My boyfriend only started watching BB last year and I keep trying to tell him how awesome it was. I actually don't mind the shoutouts. It's a bit annoying in the DR for votes, but it usually doesn't take up too much time, and I can't begrudge these fools the chance to say hi to people at home.
  9. It really does just make me miss Wipeout. And is it always the same course? I'm not sure why I'd need to see more than one episode of it.
  10. JC said that Hamlet was based on The Lion King--not vice versa, which is the amusing part.
  11. It's interesting, because I don't really get the feeling that Level 6 is that strong an alliance; even, really that FOUTE or whatever it is is that strong, either. This house seems to be made of some strong couples, or groups of three, some of whom are in larger alliances. But the alliances themselves don't seem particularly strong. And I almost got confused seeing Tyler getting upset about Level 6 being targeted, because he barely seems like a part of it. He wouldn't be in it, except he was HOH the first week, and I can't tell how actually close he is to anyone. Tyler would be smart to act like he's part of that group to the other alliance members, but work 100% for his own cause. He did OK with Scottie--pushed what he wanted, but backed down quickly and quietly when he saw it wasn't going his own way. I think it was one of those moments where Scottie was taken in by Brett--but only for a minute, which means Brett isn't as good as he thinks he is. Scottie is smart to try to get rid of him, though. It was never enough for Scottie to waver, I don't think, but he could recognize that Brett talks a good game.
  12. Do they get to keep the Hamlet script when Hayleigh isn't reading it? Because that would be awesome. (And consequently, they probably don't.)
  13. I don't really understand the Manny love. And on these shows, you have to know that if you have a ton of extra time, you're doing something wrong.
  14. It's funny, because I have a huge sweet tooth, and I'm not overly fond of pie for dessert because...it's not sweet enough for me. At least, fruit pies I generally find not terribly sweet and, of course, those were eliminated by the bizarre "no top crust" rule. I was very excited by Cathryn's pie description: "Chocolate..." Great! "And peanut butter..." Yay! "And pumpkin." Record scratch. Ew. No. Of course that was awful!
  15. No, I don't think they've mentioned them since maybe the first episode. I remember when the culinary POV was harped on Every. Single. Episode. That was one of the reasons Jeff won way back when--he managed to always bring it back to sandwiches.
  16. I liked the little "at home" clip of Brendan going over to his neighbor's house and handing them a cake...then leaving. That's #lifegoals right there to have a neighbor show up, hand me a cake, then leave. James is probably my favorite at the moment, but I agree that Danny is a low-key contender.
  17. It amused me when Swaggy said that Winston was the one most gunning for him. Suuuure. Also, Kaitlyn? You can't both make big moves and not get any blood on your hands. That's not how that works.
  18. There are loads of "cozy mysteries" that involve food--and have recipes in the back of the books. Ditto with a lot of chick lit, set in cupcake/cake/tea shops. I doubt that's what Jess is doing, but it is a thing. I actually understood what Amy was going for with her concept of "Cheat Eat," though it wasn't really what people would necessarily think of first. (Oddly, it WAS what my boyfriend first thought of, and I had to explain Manny's version). I'm not necessarily rooting for Amy, but I'm annoyed that Bobby seemed to willfully not buy into the concept. He managed to explain it in a few words a couple times, so he clearly understood what she was going for.
  19. Me as well. I was a figure skating junkie for a long time, and I liked Johnny as a skater, but he's too snarky for my taste as an announcer. I do like Tara. Agreed. I am watching despite them not because of them.
  20. Honestly, the fact that there's a couple is what's won me over. I find Tara and Johnny annoying, but I like that there's a couple with specifications and reactions. I wish we had more time on the actual baking/decorating, though; it feels very rushed. Maybe I'm just used to the lack of commercials on GBBS, though.
  21. Eh, I haven't really seen anything from Diana to make me think she's at all innovative or willing to try new things to shake up Empirical. I like Diana, but her actual work hasn't impressed me (not that I can really think of any examples off the top of my head).
  22. I feel like the producers made the robot punishment harsh knowing that that person would inevitably wind up being the most sympathetic/trendworthy (because--a person is a robot!) and thus win the first power. They'd get screwed, but would then win the first power. Chris isn't actually that annoying while in the game--it's his talking heads that are just awful, which is kind of interesting. His reaction to not getting the first power was fantastic, though. Stop being so annoying, Chris, and maybe people will like you more. I can't tell the Bros apart. Or a lot of the girls, honestly.
  23. Giada didn't bother me terribly during that part of the show; she lost me at the competition at the end, critiquing Harrison's and Adam's variations on her dishes. Her critiques were so nasty that I couldn't tell whether the dishes weren't good, or whether she was just annoyed at what they did. I wish we had heard more of what Bobby thought of them, because the attitude I got from Giada was "Why do you think you could improve upon anything of mine?"
  24. The champagne girl was nowhere near as creepy and bizarre as the champagne wall that one couple had, with the hands holding champagne flutes? That was horrifying.
  25. Oh my gosh, yes. I felt kind of bad for the couples at the weddings, that this rando guy was acting that way on the dance floor. Get up and dance if you want, but at least try to be somewhat unobtrusive.
