It seems like everyone but the main cast knows enough to arm themselves with guns. -

It's two hour episode, so I don't expect much to happen. Predictions: Of the main cast, Chris is most likely to die, followed by Ofelia (if she's even in it). Strand is a long shot. He's very popular, but the writers have had no idea what to do with him since the hacienda story ended. They could kill him off to show how daring they are. Of the secondary characters, Luciana and the head of the Colonia are as good as dead, as are Elena, Hector, the shopkeeper brother and just about everyone at the Hotel. I expect both the Colonia and the Hotel to fall to bandits/walkers. Perhaps the last scene will have the survivors come across an abandoned prison... -
I expect that Bruce's deal with the Court of Owls will be the reason he adopts the secret Batman identity. That is, if the show ever gets that far.
-
Chris was not with the bros at the end. In the preview, Travis called out Chris' name, but I couldn't tell if he was shown.

When Mads said that her late husband was a man of few words, I expected her next line to be: "The suicide note read 'Goodbye, and thanks for all the fish.'"
-
I am convinced that the people posting here about this show are giving it far more thought and analysis than any of the writers for the show.
-
Two best lines of the night: "Everywhere we go it's the same thing, just different people." That pretty much sums it up. "He was a man of few words." Mads describing the suicide note. I actually LOL when she said that.

nyxy - The guy who was bludgeoned was the one brought in to take over running the art gallery. Presumably, he was the one who killed Sonya, hence his brutal demise.

Why isn't Strand the leader of this group? My guess is that when the show was first plotted out, it was planned for him to die at the hacienda. Once he became a breakout character, that was dropped and he was kept alive. Unfortunately, TPTB don't know what to do with him, so now they've sidelined him with a wound while they try to think of something. I couldn't figure out what Mads was trying to do with the hotel sign. Then I saw Travis and I imagined him thinking "What idiot is stupid enough to light up a neon sign during the ZA? MADISON!" No doubt, Nick would have the same reaction. What kind of a relationship will Travis and Mads have if they reunite? Both made it clear that their children took priority, not an unrealistic attitude (something rare in FTWD). Did either of them even mention the other since they were separated? I imagine the main reason to reunite would be because in the ZA, you would want to be with people that you knew before it all went down. Why is oxy so valuable in the ZA? I should think that all the junkies would quickly clean up or be killed off. Seems to me that water and ammunition, to name just two commodities, would be much more valuable. Yet the shopkeepers are planning to attack a walled-in compound just to get some more oxy. What the heck is Ofelia up to? Nice to see her back, but she can't really believe that there's any chance of finding her ex-fiance in New Mexico. I'm sure we'll get a flashback showing how her parents broke up the engagement. At least we'd get to see Ruben Blades again. Looks like the amibros and/or Chris will die next episode.

FWIW, my guess is that Gordon misinterpreted what he saw at Lee's place. Although, I admit it did look like a more than friendly kiss. I thought the opening monster was Killer Croc - wrong.
-
Gee, that was easy. I'm surprised that Ray didn't figure out sooner that all he had to do was kill the Russians. I'm sure the "very powerful people in Moscow" who were upset about Belikoff won't be bothered by this turn of events. I was expecting Terry to die or be hospitalized, after seeing his collapse last episode; guess they're saving that for next season. And Abby's cancer is completely gone. How about that?

Although it certainly looks in the preview as if something bad happens to Strand, I don't think that TPTB would give away a character's death in a preview. More likely that the blood on his shirt isn't even his own. That depends. If you enjoy compelling stories with richly drawn characters told in a believable manner, then no. -
I've read that Ed Harris' character is a human, not a robot, in this version.
-
I suspect that the reason TPTB went for the cliffhanger is because of worry that they would lose a lot of fans over the summer if they killed off some favorite characters. This way, people will tune in for the season opener, and they can hope that they'll stay with it, and the show won't lose as many viewers.
