Is anyone reading Candace Bushnell’s new book “Is there still sex in the city?” Ive never read her stuff but this is a memoir and heard there were story’s about some of HWs since she is friends with many. The names are changed but Carole’s meeting Adam at Luanne’s house is in there. I’m just wondering if anyone knows who the real names are behind any of the characters.

This whole dog mess is miserable to watch. I’m tuning out until they move on. I can’t stand everyone claiming they are Vic oof Lisa’s manipulations. Aren’t they grown women? Can’t they decide what they say and how they act? Anyway, I found it kind of funny when Lisa left the dinner and everyone got upset. How can they ignore her is she’s not there to see. The best thing she did was to walk away from filming.

Atlanta is such a no brainer. It has an amazing food scene, many of the TC contestants & some judges have come from there. It has great opportunities for unique, regional food challenges. There is a huge film infrastructure already in place. Unfortunately I don’t think it will happen. First, they just did a southern City so it wouldn’t be for a while, but the big reason is that Atlanta won’t pay for it. The host city is a major sponsor and that is how locations are chosen. I don’t think Atlanta feels that it needs the promotion that much. It’s really unfortunate. Atlanta would be a great location.

Andy said on his show that he was not mad at Jeff. He also said Jeff would be on WWHL this week as scheduled. He said Jeff was just being dramatic in assuming FO would be canceled. Jeff has always been pretty honest about the stretching of reality for the show. He said he will keep people around longer so they could still get paid by the show even though he doesn’t need them for JLD. I think Cat is just there during filming. So, like Jenni in the later seasons, she shows up on filming days and Bravo pays her.

The house and plane belong to the Westcotts, Kam’s in laws. The house sold shortly after filming. I’m not surprised. I believe the mom is in her 90’s, so probably not skiing much. Not sure if the Dad is still around. I think the house was only on the show to instigate a sale. BTW, I was at Beaver liquors yesterday & the kid that helped them said they were crazy in the store. He said he freaked when Cary opened the tequila (it’s illegal to drink in the store) but his boss said to just go with it. He was thrilled to be on the show though. It’s a big deal in our little town. There’s even a big article about the liquor store visit in our local paper today.

Unfortunately, next episode is the last we shall see of Beaver Creek. The Westcott ski home sold shortly after filming ($11,500,000). I’m sure filming & the accompanying tour on Bravo’s website was all promotion to sell the house. I personally find the house very gaudy but it’s on an amazing lot. I live just down the street & passed by it this morning on a hike. I was really hoping they would do an annual trip like RHONY does tot he Berkshires. It’s fun to see my little town on the show.

The only reason to have an actual store is to have a location for filming. If it was an office, they wouldn’t have the products on display as much. It’s just one big infomercial.

They are all so full of BS when they try to call B out on playing to the cameras. They all do any chance they get. Any one of them would bust into tears for Bobby at the funeral, given the chance. Camera time is $$. They need all the exposure they can get. The Bravo pay check is nice, but the real money is in promotions. Those stupid Dunkin’ Donuts IG posts Carole did? They earned her thousands & thousands. I heard it’s 20K for the initial post & more for each click. That really adds up. I don’t believe any of these bitches would give up the gravy train. Add to that appearances and Dorinda’s coffee mugs & it’s a small fortune. I believe B quit because she had another show but the others leaving on their own, I’ll never buy it. They are all too big of fame whores and are too dependent on the money

I think the HWs have 1% input in the trip planning. The producers probably decide who’s turn it is and then ask them if they have somewhere to go. Either they come up with a semi valid reason or it’s just a random place they’ve been before. Producers then work out the accommodations, excursions, etc. I think they should drop the charade of hosting. No one believes Tinsley picked out that house.

I was wondering about what happened to Camille with the boys in the woods in relation to Millie Calhoun and the union soldiers. Millie was gang raped and suffered in silence. I think Camille was also raped but let everyone believe it was consensual (suffering in silence). Millie did it protect her husband. Did Camille want to protect her mother? She mentioned girls of the town paying for the sins of their mothers. Adora had Camille very young and out of wedlock. I’m sure in that small town it was a scandal that she was shamed for. With allowing everyone to believe she willingly slept with the boys instead of going to police, was she avoiding the scandal of rape?

I think that’s why we are seeing B finally say something about the situation. She has been pretty mum as Carole has repeatedly bashed her on blogs & SM. If Carole pissed off Andy by announcing before the reunion, he might have had B post about the firing. I don’t think we will ever get the full story tho.

With her statement about not compromising her morals or whatever, I think she was given an ultimatum. She either had to reconcile with B, or walk away. So technically, that’s not being fired. It’s choosing to leave. Carole has always been a bit of a back up dancer. This worked well with the strong personalities like Heather & Bethenny, but not so much with Tinsley. Think about it, if something went down, B had lots of opinions & will rehash things with Carole which keeps the storyline moving. Tinsley doesn’t talk about much other than Scott. I like Tinsley & think she’s a good addition but she’s not strong enough to carry Carole. Andy has said in the past that the HWs are very coddled. They take great pains to get the women’s trust. I really think most of the situations he gives them the option to say they had made the decision. That way they are not so angry & will,come back for appearances,etc.

So if Sonja’s townhouse is up for rent, where is she living now?

Tamara Tattles is now saying Erika is off the show. Can’t say I’m surprised. Her attitude at the reunion sure seemed like she was already gone. I wonder who’s decision it was, hers or Andy’s? My guess is she told Andy she was quitting and didn’t want to do the reunion but he said she had to. If the rumor is true and she is divorcing, she’s going to wish she had that HW paycheck. No more private jets and glam squad. She may say she didn’t sign a prenup, but that doesn’t make it true.

So, Erika had cramps at the beach house, was sick on Germany, and now a migraine at the reunion. Hmmm.

What is going on with Sonja’s face in her talking heads? Her mouth/chin area does not look right. It’s so distracting! I don’t know if. She had some bad Botox or what, but it looks terrible. It’s not like that in the scenes with other women, just the talking head.

I loved Erica’s totally bogus planning of Berlin activities. “Tomorrow I’ll take the girls shopping then horseback riding.” Right girl, if you had anything to do with the agenda it would not include a physical activity. She couldn’t even surpress the eye roll. Then the fake call to set up the dinner. She neglected to tell them how many people were attending or even a time. Then she’s late to meet the girls because she was busy coordinating their trip, not because she avoids being around them until she absolutely has to. Of course the whole reason for the trip was her “business meeting” in Berlin. How surprising that got moved to LA.

Again, I think it was all play acting. Rinna was going no matter what. Last season on RHONY, Bethenny tried to not invite Ramona to Mexico and Ramona came right out and said that it was a group trip so Bethenny had no say.

Every year when the big trip comes up they are just terrible at acting surprised. I wish TPTB would drop the pretense of one cast member inviting the others for a spur of the moment trip. There was a moment when they tried to imply that Erika might not invite Teddi, but we all know it’s a designated group trip and it’s very difficult to exclude a cast member. Hopefully Erika won’t take too much credit for being such a great “hostess”

The only reason I would want to read it is if there were interesting, deep info about who Erika really is. Unfortunately, she is so guarded, it’s all just a puff piece. Nothing that has come out of the excerpts is new or surprising. It sounds like a snooze fest. And btw, if you are a bored housewife, take up a cause. There are lots of philanthropic opportunities for people with time, money, and connections. Or you could spend butt loads of money to look like hooker Barbie.

Erika has got to be freaking out that this episode exploded in her face the same week her book came out. Like others have said, she being dragged across the coals on Twitter. Although some people are surprised with her behavior this episode, I’ve noticed (and mentioned it here) Erika does not seem happy this season. It seems every episode, she is pissy and sullen. I wonder if there isn’t something going on that we are not privy to. Rumor has it that she lives in a bungalow in Hollywood and hasn’t lived with Tom for a while.

I really enjoyed the episode and all the shade LVP gave Dorit. I’ve always said that LVP knows what makes good tv. If she had gone in with Kyle last week, the scene would have been a sloppy mess (kind of was anyway.) Lisa waited until her party and treated us all to a series of witty, cutting jabs on Dorit. It was so much more fun than the usual drunken, screaming, slobbering “you are mean to me!” kind of scenes. Also, is it me or has Erika put on weight? Her outfit of choice lately is an oversized top or other waistless ensemble. I think she may be hiding a bit of a belly. And, Camille has an awesome body & I asked dear hubby didn’t he think she was totally hot for pushing 60? Come to find out, she’s 49! She needs a better dermatologist.

I’m not buying any of Erika’s bs. I don’t believe for a minute she intended on staying. She phoned it in for the show & had her assistant follow her down & get a room for her. She’s just pissed they called her out on camera about it. Don’t they know they live in Erika’s world? I’m getting a very sad, unhappy vibe from her this season. Her scene with Tom was so uncomfortable. Instead of showing a genuine interaction between a married couple, she just listed off her achievements, “I’ve written songs, I’ve put on shows, I’ve had someone write a book for me!” I would not be surprised if we find out post season that something bad is going going on. I don’t think old man atom would divorce her, but something.

I just stalked PK’s IG for no good reason. The recent stuff looks totally done by a PR person to show how hot is wife is and how cute his son is, but if you go back to 2014, it reads more like a real account. What’s amazing is how much work Dorit has had done. She looks like a completely different person!

Top Chef has always had a pairing challenge. Chris should have expected it. Also with LeAnn, I hate that she left but they always do some overnight challenge that is difficult. It’s not hard to guess in Colorado the overnight will be a mountain camping scenario. And to the poster that did not want to go to Colorado, you are sorely missing out. The scenery and weather is beyond epic. I think this season is doing a great job of showing how beautiful this state is. Off topic, but I will be going to the Beaver Creek food festival this weekend with Top Chef alums Jonathan Waxman and Jennifer Jasinski. I’m sooo excited!
