  1. Totally agree. However, I think that the whole "cant communicate with each other" is fake too. I think Murcel speaks and understands WAY more English than they are letting on, Idk but the way he reads out the English translations from his phone with a furrowed brow and confused look seems like acting
  2. Yep, you hit it in the nail. This show has become cartoonish with "characters" who are crappy actors
  3. The whole Michael and Juliana story just looks, to me, like they went on TV to try to promote her modeling career. Juliana looks like she gets her hair professionally styled every time shes on camera hanging out in the family kitchen, Michael seems like a sleazeball, Julianas "arranged marriage" story sounds like some boring half - concocted bs, would she be with him if he wasnt "rich"?
  4. Idk, but Juliana pretty much talks nonstop about how poor she was as a child, to the point of it being a storyline. I spent some of my childhood and older years in Volgograd, where Sasha and Emily met. It truly is a broken down, miserable city, like most of Russia is (aside from Moscow and St. Petersberg). Growing up, I always believed that the US had a more comfortable way of life. From my perspective, as a whole, comparing middle class to middle class,.... yes. Middle class Americans have closets, homes, vehicles, varieties of coffee at the supermarket. In Russia, we were comfortably middle class, but lived in a large block apartment building, had a 1 bedroom apartment for 4 people, public transit, no closets. I never met in Russia a person who lived in an actual house....there, we called them "villas", what here would be a modest 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house. On a side note, Emily has no self awareness of how her in laws see her. She was crying on the way to the airport out of relief for herself and her emotions, not the fact that Sasha was leaving his parents and his other kids. She seems to have a real anxiety problem and never smiles or seems at ease or happy. Listening to Sasha's parents talk about her they didnt seem happy either.
  5. There is NO chance that Sasha will stick around with Emily. Emily really, really needs to learn something about Russian men, men there like to be men and dont like to be nagged to pick up domestic duties. Also, married men constantly cheat because of there being so many beautiful young women. Emily is CONSTANTLY henpecking and nagging Sasha in that so incredibly annoying teacher voice, nothing makes her happy, just complaining nonstop. I am sure that he just saw her as a quick fling and initially intriguing because he never met an American girl before.
  6. Shes just very grateful that she found a man at 35, which in Ukraine, is old maid, destining a woman to be stuck dating married men. She makes no secret that she wants to get pregnant ASAP, so this is looking like she got with Mike to fulfill that biological need , which by the way, she is correct to want to be in a hurry, especially since she made up her mind to marry Mike and move across the world to live the farm life with him. I just hope this doesnt turn into another Alla who moved to a Kentucky rural area and complain that Sequim doesnt have the nightlife that Kiev has. She made a very conscious decision to move out to the boonies in Amerkca, so I hope we wont have to suffer watching her be bored. At least she has her friend there.
  7. I got the feeling, that porn grandma didnt think Robert SHOULD have any more children, and that was the underlying message. Which - I agree! I think that Bryson's grandparents are more involved that once every 2 weeks. I would also like to hear from Robert's older children, whom I presume he barely sees
  8. I think Natalie might have this idea that living in Sequim,Washington with her giant American husband Mike might be like one of those trashy romance/soft porn books you can read on Kindle for $0.99 where you live in the isolated mountains with your lumberjack lover and live happily ever after. Russian/Ulrainian women will tend to marry men that American women would reject. It's kind of that, shrug your shoulders, "Well, a man is a man" attitude that I think Natalie will be adapting, PLUS she is very aware of her biological clock, and it is probably easier to just marry Mike, as her chances to find a decent, unmarried man in Ukraine at 35 may be shot.
  9. I wouldnt think "amoral slut" or on the opposite side of the spectrum "empowered" when I think of adult film actors. I just feel sad for them and think that they probably have no one in their lives (i.e. their parents) to hurt. L Now, others may disagree (to some, sex is just sex or thats what they say), but I still think that theres no way being a porn star isnt a game changer in life, severely limiting romantic choices, plus, I cant even kiss someone I am not attracted to, I cant imagine how I would feel having someone I might not like be, literally, inside me and have to fake excitement for a film crew. The porn star grandma came off as very likeable to me. She is very attractive and well put together for her age, loves her grandson, and just comes off so grounded and down to earth, not at all what I would expect a porn star to act. I liked her 10x more than that hoarsey voice fiancee.
  10. Thank you for sharing.your story. Getting implants after mastectomy is, i can only guess, just wanting a body part replaced and being able to move on with life.
  11. Im not sure if she is capable of feeling anything, or if she is even a human, or a robot/alien with a frozen face. This screams of hired actress to play a role on a reality show to me. Especially since she is an IG model (surprise, surprise) and her sister is the exact same way. Btw, what was up with that ZERO emotion at the airport between the sisters ?
  12. In places like Ukraine/Russia, it still does unfortunately. Women over there go for men who seem secure. Thats why there are often beautiful Russian women with shlubby men. I think Natalie loves Mike, but it is very very obvious that she is with him because she desires a husband and family and needs a man to fill in the spot. In Eastern Europe, a 35 year old woman (not to mention divorcee) stands little chance to get married to a quality man.
  13. Im the same way like your husband. I have no desire to have a house or closet full of stuff just because it was priced cheap and retailed expensive. I dont buy something unless I absolutely have to have it, and its typically a high quality item. Like, I have 2 pairs of jeans, 2 work slacks, 7 shirts, and a few dresses in my entire closet. All items I absolutely love and wanted. I feel like when peoplengo thrifting, they buy a bunch of stuff they dont need just because it is cheap with a high priced scratched out label.
  14. I dont see a problem with thrift store shopping, and I also dont see a problem with those who dont want to shop at a thrift shop no matter how poor they are. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Me personally? I used to shop a lot, both at high end stores, low end stores, and thrift shops. I learned a lot about myself after cleaning out my home about how consumerist we are as a culture. Like, I dont need more stuff! Lol.
  15. Kiev is pronounced, basically, KEEV. The American pronunciation is for some reason, Kee YEV. But it doesnt sound right at all, it sounds all French and wierd. . The emphasis should be on the KEE, and the YIV is understated.
  16. I am from eastern Europe and emigrated to the US when I was younger. I have family members who emigrated to Mexico and Argentina in the 1980s I believe, their children speak Spanish and grew up within Latin culture but they tend to identify with their Jewish background more.. they identify their nationality as Mexican or Argentinian but racially they are not Hispanic. For example, if I moved to China with ny husband and had a baby there and raised it there, would my child be ethnically Asian ? One could say he would be a Chinese child of caucasian race. This seems like a nationality/ethnicity debate. Some examples are ridiculous (someone claiming they are not Mexican bc 150 years ago their ancestors lived in Spain) but if I have a friend whose parents are grom Mexico and she was born in the US, I would think she would be called am American of Hispanic heritage. And I think heritage plays a role in your ethnicity if it is only a generation or two ago. Someone once said I have Spanish blood in me from the 1400s Spanish Inquisition and that my ancestors migrated to eastern Europe. So i would not bother to mention Spanish heritage because I never knew a relative/grandparent who lived there.
  17. It looks like Olga is calling him Shurik, which is a Russian nickname for the name "Alexander".
  18. Thats what I was thinking, too. Their best case scenario would be to live in some other Middle Eastern country that would be willing to accept them. Funny, though. I do know one Syrian young woman who left Syria 2 years ago to marry her American (born in Syrian, US -raised) husband. So maybe she was that 5%. ? Watching 19 year old Avery in such grief abiut this makes me think...man. why in the world is she making her life so hard ? At 19, she should be worried about hanging out with her friends, working at the mall, maybe college classes, goodness, shes such an idiot. And if she wanted to be Muslim, and date another Muslim (which I will ASSUME means getting married quickly) we have PLENTY right here in America and she wouldnt have to pay a cent for an immigration lawyer to tell her shes got less than 5% chance to be with her "true love" in America.
  19. Who the hell is this cross eyed Evelyn chick, and why does she think she is so hot ??!
  20. And did she have a baby ? I always see Aladdins mom with a baby. It seems so sad
  21. Hmm. Before my husband, I had one serious boyfriend, who also had the same exact name as my husband. No one EVER lets me live that down
  22. I must have missed that part. Is it pronounced Ah-KIN-Yee ? Or Ah-KIN-Yeh?
  23. Ooh! I did ballroom dancing as a child from ages 6 to 11 and my brother was my partner! We never won though. As an adult, I might dance with my brother at a wedding but any kind of Latin dancing? Hell no
  24. Is it just me, or did these people have a baby to stay relevant and continue on this show ? Karine - 21 or 22 years old, had no need to have a baby. And we know it was definitely planned. What she COULD have done was use her youth and position on a reality show to somehow improve her financial situation, go to college in Manaus with the show money or start a small business or something.
