  1. The woman and man Elsa traded with said the pants were pantalone, is probably Italian. In hindsight, the Duttons crossing at night when the river was lower was smart. The true danger of getting everyone across the river was horrifying. Margaret having to strip off her heavier layers so she wouldn’t drown if she fell off her horse, her not being able to save a child/children from drowning. All the pioneers had was a rope to help, they couldn’t swim. Heartbreaking. You’re telling me that horses drug a heavy piano around for weeks? I don’t think that’s realistic. To be honest, I was kind of bored with Elsa this week. I do like the narration, though. Thomas is becoming one of my favorite characters. I enjoy the back and forth with Shea.
  2. Casting news - Tom Hanks’ wife, Rita Wilson https://variety.com/2022/tv/news/1883-paramount-plus-rita-wilson-1235147225/ Rita Wilson is set to guest star on “1883” at Paramount Plus, Variety has learned exclusively. Wilson will appear in an upcoming episode of the “Yellowstone” prequel series in the role of Carolyn, a storekeeper at Doan’s Crossing who helps Margaret (Faith Hill) decompress with some whiskey punch. Wilson’s role on the show makes her the second member of her household to appear on the series. Her husband, Tom Hanks, appeared in Episode 2 of the show in the role of U.S. Civil War General George Meade.
  3. I don't plan on watching 6666, either. Jimmy isn't exciting enough to lead a show.
  4. Don't forget Jerry blowing up an ambulance with a grenade launcher. Yeesh.
  5. Return To Hogwarts producers responded to that Emma Watson/Emma Roberts mishap in the HBO Max special. "Well spotted Harry Potter fans! You brought an editing mistake of a mislabelled photograph to our attention. New version up shortly." 'Harry Potter' Stars James & Oliver Phelps Spot Another Mistake in Reunion Special https://www.justjared.com/2022/01/03/harry-potter-stars-james-oliver-phelps-spot-another-mistake-in-reunion-special/ It looks like the Emma Watson – Emma Roberts photo mix-up wasn’t the only mistake in the Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts reunion special. There was also another one involving twins James and Oliver Phelps, who played Fred and George Weasley in the popular series, and Oliver pointed it out on Instagram over the weekend. Turns out, after all these years, that not a lot of people can tell James and Oliver apart. “I guess after all those pranks over the years somebody decided to get their revenge 🤨🤣🤷🤪 https://www.instagram.com/p/CYPiGJrqWS_/

  7. It could also be that older people watched the show during S1-8 and don't really use the Internet.
  8. Awww, boo. I was looking forward to it.
  9. I would LOVE to know the older kids’ thoughts on this, especially after they all moved out.
  10. BORING! Anna said she was done with summer semester classes, so, she is still in college.
  11. Trent has another job; he has been a car salesman at a dealership since at least August. https://www.instagram.com/p/CS7et8Nrh0V/

    S01.E03: River

This is still great. My attention is glued to the show. I enjoyed the James/John and Margaret/Elsa scenes.
  13. All the time spent on Jimmy would have been better spent on advancing the other plots! I feel like a whole lot of nothing has happened since the first two episodes of this season.
  14. I agree. The German man who speaks English said that they weren’t allowed to have guns in their country. So, they don’t know how to use them.
  15. Jonah was an asshole to Ashley with the jet ski. How hard is it to ride a little bit slower for her for a time, and then let her off, and go full speed demon by himself? I would be traumatized if my boyfriend just let me be terrified, and I would dump him for sure. Ashley, run! He doesn't respect you! He clearly does not care about you. I do not see them lasting like Elizabeth and Brice might. Jonah seems to have no EQ (emotional intelligence), nor does he have a romantic bone in his body. He is a snooze as a person, and boyfriend. His idea of romance is take out food in the living room every night. Trent and Brice are definitely more sensitive and romantic. Not telling Ashley about moving out, and that he was having his friend be his roommate was definitely shitty to do. Not being upfront and honest with your girlfriend, and hiding things from them is immature, and a red flag. If she is 21, she could be in her final year of college, and would be able to move in with Jonah in 2022. She was clearly upset, and I don't think she's happy with him. He obviously does not want to live with her. With Jonah's whole moving out thing, I can see both sides. If he stays in GA, he and Ashley see each other way less. If he decided to move to NC, and the relationship didn't work out, he's stuck with a lease four hours away from home. In some ways, it's kind of a lose-lose situation. But Jonah also chose the safe option of staying in GA, instead of taking a risk, and choosing to be physically closer to Ashley. This keeps her at arm's length, and he has an built-in excuse to not be with her, have intimacy (not just sex, but letting someone in and being vulnerable), and take the next steps with her to a have a true, mature relationship. We know Jonah is lazy, and staying in GA further enables him to stay that way. I think he wants all the 'perks' and benefits of a girlfriend, without putting in the work to be a person worthy of marriage and a real commitment; most 21 year olds aren't, that's okay. I know I was nowhere near ready for that at 21. He just wants a girlfriend, and to have a good time, no major commitments. I think that the long-distance thing will be what breaks them up. They won't last. Ashley can do so much better than him. Most people don't meet their soulmate at 21, or in high school. Jonah has a lot of maturing and growing up to do if he wants to be worthy of being someone's husband someday. TLDR; (too long, didn't read) - Jonah is lazy, immature, boring, insensitive, not romantic, and clearly doesn't want a serious relationship, and Ashley should dump him and find someone better. Moving on...I notice that in her interviews, Elizabeth tends to over-explain things and add in a bunch of extra words to sound smart, because she always has to be a know-it-all, and smarter and better than her siblings. She did when explaining parasailing. She is clearly insecure. I laughed so hard when Amber talked about Alex saying, "I've been waiting for this [the older siblings moving out] since I was ten." LOL I loved it. Alex and Emma are much calmer than the older three. Not as much drama with them. I like Heidi's husband, Jay. He's cool.
  16. Wow, Isabella was shitty to Becky, for all intents and purposes, a stranger to her, who watched her baby for hours, probably for free. She's being pretty irresponsible, and not being a good mom to her baby. She had no excuse for not calling Becky.
  17. Also true with molestation claims that turn out to be false (I am NOT saying that the Noth accusers are lying). Once someone is accused, their life and/or career is over.
  18. Yeah, a patient's severed finger. Ugh, don't remind me about the apartment fire. Sam and Gracie (Sam's grandma) knew deep down he caused it, but, did not turn him in, or make him face any consequences. The fire killed a few people, including their elderly neighbor, who Gracie was friendly with. They should have made Alex take responsibility for what he did, whether he meant to do it, or not.

    S01.E01: 1883

I loved it, too. The one man said that it cost them $200 per family to join the wagon train, ~$5,500 today.
  20. Tired of Jimmy and Texas. Do not care. I tune out. They had nothing better for Kayce's character to do besides sit on the porch, staring at a wolf? Monica is pregnant, oh, joy...not. Rip's observation skills are on-point. 99/100 TV characters walk right into a robbery/hostage situation. Beth at dinner was hilarious. I love her. Watching Carter spoon that amazing-looking chocolate cake (from the center, no less!) on top of his salad was disgusting. Get a clean plate!
  21. No, they have five kids: Jonah - biological Anna - adopted from Russia Elizabeth - biological Emma - adopted from China Alex - adopted from South Korea Anna is about a year older than Elizabeth.
  22. Sad that Trent and Amber are shoving their kids out the door. Let them have fun, be young, and spend money! They have the rest of their lives to be responsible! I still pitched in at home, with chores, and gave my parents money every month, which they surprised me with, and gave it back to me to use when I moved out! My parents maintained a good balance with that. But, based on the show, I don't blame them for getting out from under their parents' control. I'm so tired of Elizabeth's passive-aggressive side comments, and little digs at Anna. She thinks she's so smart and so much better than the others. We know she gets it from Amber. The whole "Trent quit his job" thing was so obviously staged for TV.
