  1. I don't see this "friendship" between Erika and Kyle lasting very long. It seems to me that Erika is very needy. She want's constant stroking and affirmations. Kyle was pretty much going along with the program in Greece, although not to Eileen or Rinna lengths. I think Erika hopes that she can move Kyle to her side of the chessboard and away from Bobby Fisher aka LVP. I don't see that happening. Kyle and LVP are lots of fun to watch and seem to have a true fondness for each other. They also treat each other as equals, which is something I don't see in Erika's dynamic with friends. Erika won't be able to maintain a relationship where she is not told she is fabulous every five minutes. Even when she takes a compliment it's all about her. She says I appreciate that instead of thank YOU. In her sad, tacky world it's all Erika all the time.
  2. I thought it was cute and relatable. I always buy a good pair of scissors and hide them, then when I need them the most I find out someone else found my hiding spot and used them to cut paper and all kinds of crap and ruined them! Drives me crazy. I liked that Kyle went out of her way to be polite and stay in line with the hostess' requests for dress. It was hard to watch her ruin what was probably a very expensive garment, though, but hey that BH for ya. Also, as someone who sews, it's pretty common to have a slight difference in length on legs. It can depend on body shape and the way a person stands. As long as it looked good while on, that's what's important.
  3. Probably true. The Sham Squad can take care of him. They can put him in some leopard print jammies and serve up grandpa fierceness! She'd better be sure that he doesn't have the capacity to cut her out of the will first though! He's sharp and I wouldn't mess with him.
  4. I saw an interview with Tom and Erika where Erika says that she was bored and unfulfilled which is why she created Erika Jayne. I guess being "first lady of the bar association" was not enough for her. Anyway, it made me wonder since Tom is around 70, what will happen as he gets even older and may need her to be his primary caregiver. Will she go MIA like Sonya did on Old Man Morgan?? I think it will be interesting to see what happens.
  5. I get what your saying here, but CPS investigations based on cruelty and innuendo have been opened before. I worked in the field and saw it. Plus, every call placed to CPS is investigated, at least in my state. Even if there are no legal ramifications, that kind of innuendo could cause other mothers to think twice about allowing their children around the Kemsley children. This has the potential to hurt that whole family and it's just beyond vile. The question is would anyone want to have those allegations leveled at them? Certainly not me. I do hope some of the other people at that party bring slander charges against LisaR. She slandered all of them in one fell swoop.
  6. This whole sincerity thing gets so out of hand. I understand that someone just flatly saying "I'm sorry" (Erika) can look insincere, but when someone repeatedly tries to soothe your hurt feelings, but isn't using the words you'd like then they are insincere. How do you know what's in their heart? The only solution is to accept the apology like a grown up and move along. Then you can watch how they act toward you in the future to gauge their feelings. Actions always speak louder than words. Of course if you refuse to accept the offer of apology, then you never can move on to the next phase.
  7. THIS EXACTLY!! Dorit and PK did nothing that I ever saw to even suggest such an accusation. Again, I feel this is a vile far reaching suggestion and it imperils their young children. I would have a much harsher reaction than Dorit has had thus far, but I think she is really beaten down by those harpies. I also think overall she handles the arguments like a boss, especially for a rookie.
  8. I liked Dorit's gold leaf look for the party. I think she is a beautiful woman with some great fashion sense and she can really wear clothes. After seeing the "looks" Erika's squad turns out for her, I think she is jealous of Dorit. Erika just looked completely pathetic at that party. That stupid cheap looking wig and the dress was horrible. It's so crass to show up at a party when the host has asked for certain dress and completely disregard the request. If you don't want to follow the request --- DON'T SHOW UP!! Manners are in place to ensure a level of comfort for the guests and the host(s). I also believe LVP's wedge request was an effort to not damage her lawn or the ladies' shoes. To show up in black (yes I know it had sparkles) and heels was just plain rude. Erika is about Erika all the time. And yes, I know Erika is not the only culprit on the dress code and all those who did not comply were rude. Kyle showed class, making every effort to follow the request of the host. That apology was pathetic. I did appreciate that she worded it in a way that took responsibility, but to me it was simply insufficient. She gets away with that all the while demanding apologies from Dorit and PK and stating that they must be sincere. Where was the sincerity in hers? Also, it seemed that Dorit tried a few times to start to apologize at that table, only to be yelled at, insulted and shut down. I'd quit at that point, too. Dorit did seem sincerely sorry for hurting Erika, but Erika would never accept that, even if Dorit had been allowed to state it. Also, Erika reveling in LisaR's actions really shows me how low and disgusting she is. PK has every right to address this issue on his wife's behalf. His wife has been repeatedly attacked and accused and his children have been jeopardized by those vile comments from LisaR. CPS investigations can be started from innuendo like that and I cannot think of anything lower than throwing out such information just because you feel someone is not listening. Should people start calling LisaR a pedo if they feel she doesn't listen? Words have meaning and repercussions can be very long term. On a lighter note, I thought the exchange between LVP and Bobby Lee was cute. He really knows his stuff and that party looked amazing! Plus straight to bed really cracked me up!
  9. I'm with you @noveltylibrary65!! Have you ever watched Archer? They do a whole running gag on literally. It slays me!!
  10. I do see Josh as a sad figure. I place the lion's share of the blame on his idiot parents. I do not condone what he did to his sisters, but I can't imagine the torture of what it must be like as a young boy with feelings and natural urges being taught that everything you think and feel is sinful, all the while hearing and seeing your parents display their sexuality in your face. How incredibly confusing! Plus he was so isolated that he couldn't talk to another boy his age or try to kiss a girl his age. What he did is wrong and disgusting, but his parents created that climate and then didn't get any help when he and his sisters so desperately needed it. I seems like they shame him more for his affairs while married than what happened with his sisters, which really confuses me. Again, I don't condone an affair, but men and women have them every day. It is certainly not even on the same level. I think he is very unhappy and when he did reach out into the secular world (although in a bad way) it really blew up in his face -- publicly. I don't know that he will ever try moving away from the "flock" again. I fear that he could actually be heading toward very deep, dark depression that could end up in self harm. I can't imagine how lonely and shameful his existence must be. I wish he would write the tell all, get himself some help, and divorce Anna. It would be the best thing that could happen to him. I believe things will take a serious turn for Josh in the near future - either a break from the cult or a complete breakdown. Personally I hope it's the former because I believe all of these kids, Josh included, have suffered so much at the hands of JimBob and Michelle and I want the tell all to come up while they are aware and capable of being shamed for what they've done to those kids.
  11. I LOVE your videos @KungFuBunny!! They're so entertaining and much sexier than any of Erika's tripe!!! BTW --- you are truly serving chandelier realness in this one!
  12. Oh, I'm quite sure Rinna will try whatever she can to spin this and make Dorit look bad. Also, when Rinna said, "all you have to say is no." All I could think is no she doesn't. Some things don't even deserve a response and this is one of them. It also really irritated me that Erika, who was all up in arms over the mere mention of her adult son working in his chosen profession, sat back and smirked while Rinna went for Dorit's throat and put two little children in a possibly precarious situation. For me, this took a very dark turn.
  13. Is it down by the river?? Why yes. Yes it is. I thought I saw someone named Natalie sitting on the bumper/waiting room last time I was there!! :)
  14. OMG! My uber religious uncle used that word for years when I was a kid. This is not something new or special to the Duggars. I HATE IT!!! Well, my doc says those doo-hickeys, so I guess he must be reputable. I was thinking about looking for a new doc, cuz the back of the van gets so crowded during flu season. :)
  15. I get your point, and perhaps it's something that struck a nerve for me because of my own beliefs. When Eileen referred to burning incense I felt she inferred it being burned to cover smoking weed, as has been known to happen in SoCal and other places. That's just where my mind went, but I also knew exactly what LisaR was inferring when she started the whole you all got up from the table BS before she ever mentioned drugs. We all bring our own experiences to everything -- sometimes we're wrong -- sometimes we're right. No biggie. Plus, Vicky was right, as always. We all know that they discuss Slade at the Vatican all the time. I mean, you know how gossipy those Cardinals are!! ;)
  16. I'm with your hub --- I love souvenirs, too!! There's nothing better than a little plastic empire state building or snow globe with the Eiffel Tower in it! I mean, who doesn't need that! And I agree with the gist of your post that it is refreshing to see them act like tourists and not praddling on about shopping at Cartier or Chanel. It's much more relatable. I'm glad you understood where I was coming from on the Buddha. It means something special to me and many others, so I was pretty annoyed at how most of them handled it. Although, I doubt the same people who behaved badly would've behaved any better at any other religious site such as a chapel or mosque, so I think I had equal opportunity at offense!!
  17. I liked that she said that as well. Something a normal person would do. For me, I was a disappointed in how most of them behaved at the Buddha. I felt there was not much respect for the beliefs of others who might have been trying to quiet themselves and meditate. The complaining about their expensive clothes and grabbing lots of incense sticks was gauche. Oh and Eileen might want to buy a clue cuz Buddhists don't burn incense for the same reason SoCals do. It's a religious experience and buying souvenirs would have been the last thing on my mind, but again, my opinion.
  18. I wonder if after Dorit and Erika high fived at the table over the panty incident and agreed that the issue had been resolved, how would Erika have reacted if Dorit kept coming up to her and saying "I think you still have a problem with this and I want to apologize/resolve it." I believe Erika would have been angry because Dorit was bringing it up again. I think there was absolutely no way Dorit was going to win. Even at the table when she would start to try and apologize the minions wouldn't allow it and Erika stated that an apology had to be sincere. Dorit seemed pretty sincere in my book when she was saying she felt badly about hurting Erika and hadn't considered some of the ramifications, but of course Erika would have declared anything Dorit said as insincere. It seems unless you are fawning all over her or petting her and coddling her, Erika doesn't want to give you the time of day. She acts above it all. I find her attitude pretty insufferable. I did love when LVP said Erika needed to shake this silliness off, just like she did her knickers!!
  19. I have no idea who that is, but maybe he didn't want to risk touching her and having to apologize ad nauseam to both Erika and Tom while Erika sat back haughtily refusing to accept said apology and putting more and more hurdles in his path.
  20. Okay, I really loved when PK said Erika needs to call her husband to check in cuz it's been six months. I'm still on the fence with him. He can be very funny sometimes. I loved his exchange with LVP in Mexico. Hey, maybe I get that hard to get British humor??
  21. I would feel worse for her if she didn't use it on the show. There's a DM article about them releasing a wreath in the ocean in her mother's honor while on vacay. Personally, honoring her mother is something that should be done privately, not as fodder for tee vee. What sad shallow people. Also, what is with releasing flower arrangements into the ocean? I hope it was all natural and would not cause harm to sea life. There are enough jerks throwing trash in the ocean as it is. I, as always feel for those kids, they've lost two grandparents and watched their own parents go to jail in a very short time. I predict a lot of future therapy, as if that wasn't the case already.
  22. You see, it's all in how you handle it. Your husband has class. I don't fault PK for peeking, but he should have done what you posted above or if neither he nor Dorit were comfortable telling Erika at the time, LET IT GO!! They're all (supposed to be) adults. I've been in that situation where I could see up a guys shorts and moved. I am way too shy to say anything like that to someone I hardly know, but I never told another person about it. Just chalked it up to a random accident. I still think Dorit (who I like) was being a passive aggressive jerk and thought this would make great tv. I don't think she was being totally malicious and she did think the issue was resolved a while ago. She made a passive aggressive joke at someone who could not take it, however the incident would not have happened without Erika making the choices she did, so she needs to absorb some responsibility too. YMMV
  23. I never thought there's be ollie talk on this board. Thanks, EDE!! That killed me, and I agree with your post, especially about the doorknob!
  24. I love him too!! Why is he being brought up? I was responding to @Addison de Pitt, I assumed their name was chosen as an homage to Addison De Witt from All About Eve aka George Sanders. Sorry to get off topic. I should know that the classy, elegant, intelligent Mr. Sanders has no place here! :) Glad to see there is still love out there for him. Obviously you have taste! Now, back to the trash...
