S32.E14: Not Going Down Without A Fight / S32.E15: Reunion
Lamima replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Survivor
Um, Gen X isn't old. -
Boy, do these law men go through extreme efforts to catch folks committing some very minor offenses (entrapment in some cases). Way too big brother.
-
I wondered about this too.

Again you need to watch TWD to get the show writers intentions. Epic fail! 1- Maddison is supposed to be the Rick of the show...NOT! 2- Chris isn't psycho and didn't mean his threat as a threat...um, seems full on crazy and murderous to me. 3- Celia isn't really Thomas' mom. Not sure how we were supposed to get that. Etc....
-
I got the feeling that Thomas was already sick as Strand seemed to know he had to hurry back to him before he died and I don't think that Thomas could text Strand 'I got bit, man'. So I think he was sick and Celia wanted to keep him as a walker. Tom stayed alive until Strand got there and Strand knew that the kindest thing to do for Thomas is to put him down. Though, one question...if he used a pillow when he shot him in the head (which they showed Thomas with a pillow over his head), then why did we hear a gun shot when crazypants Chris was standing over the ladies' bed with a knife?

Honestly, I think Cydney and Michele, both, have done very little. Cyd's laying low does not equate strong game play to me. Aubry and Tai have really been playing hard the whole time. Cyd and Michele are not as useless as Joe was. They have done some and aren't really goats but Aubry and Tai have really been going hard. Aubry was on the outs early on and should have been sent home many times but she worked it and worked it to stay in the game. Back when Neil got evacuated, she was looking like a lost cause (and was crushed that Neil didn't slip her his idol). I thought she was getting the boot then. Cyd and Michele haven't been on anyone's radar or short list (until Tai recently with his Michele votes). And Tai was loved by all for a while so not on anyone's radar either until he made a bold move to get Scot the boot.

My thoughts are that Joe was having medical issues for a while...as noted above, he had been slower the past few episodes and not very sharp thinking either (spelling Immunity) and I even mentioned somewhere, here or another forum, that he was useless. So I wonder if this episode was more scripted/contrived. Like they knew he had to leave the game for medical resaons and they devised that challenge so he could win (and boy did it go all too perfectly) and go eat all that meat and blame his exit on that and then he pretty much took away the TC (where Tai would use his II) and someone would get voted off. And Cydney pointing out that he would be hurting after eating all that meat. Either extremely coincidentally foreshadowing or scripted. Just MOO! And he did seem way more sharp and peppy in his Ponderosa after his medical treatment.

Dud episode. Hope Joe is alright and all that but man what a let down at the end. Was looking forward to TC. Oh yeah...YAY there is no real blatant goat taken to final tribal. Hate that whole goat thing.

My ears perked up when Holly was talking about the Kira pawning Kalani off on Melissa situation. Holly said 'but this is Dance Moms...it's about the mother daughter relationship' or something like that. So they aren't doing 'all this' to further their DDs in the dance industry? They are doing this just to be on a show about 'moms and daughters'? 'About moms'...therefore about them??? Moms exploiting their DDs to make money. I guess this helps me understand Melissa more with her 'me and my daughters paved the way for these minis' and 'minis won't be Abby's legacy' 'nobody will ever replace Maddie' rants. It was bugging me because I was thinking that Abby taught dancers before Maddie and will teach dancers after Maddie and some of those surely have been or will be better dancers and more successful than Maddie. But really Abby stopped being a dance teacher when the show began and then she became a cast member on a show. But Melissa needs to realize Maddie, too, was a cast member on a show and actors get replaced on shows all the time. The show will go on...without the Zieglers.

Don't you know...you need to watch Talking Dead to find all this out [eye roll emoji]. Yeah, I am lost a lot with this show. It is so poorly written/directed. I even have to record GoT to watch at 10pm (after Fear) since DDs watch Fear too. Not doing it anymore. I will watch GoT on time on another TV and DDs can have this show to themselves. And, by the way, they say they LOVE it and so do all their schoolmates so it seems to be a hit with the HS crowd [another eye roll emoji].

Was wishing the dancers came in last as I cannot stand Dana (more so than Tyler and Cole who are also annoying). While Sheri continually impresses me, I feel like they are a weak team that doesn't really deserve to be final 3. But I like her a lot and there are moments I like him so I am rooting for them. And who doesn't like an underdog? Don't get the scooter thing with them though. Don't understand why they could fall off and still get their clue...what was the point? They should have just practiced for 10 minutes and then gave it a go...falling off the whole way as it didn't seem to matter.
-
The only other reunion shows I have ever watched has been Dance Moms and Below Deck. And none were like this. I couldn't even make out what folks were trying to say it was just chaos.
-
I don't think the host controlled them at all. It was a hot mess...both parts I and II.
-
So I feel like the 3 girls are tight. They went on the reward in the helicopter together and maybe they have a super tight pact. I felt, from early on, that this would be a girls alliance season. When Jeff said, at the end of TC, that they just got rid of the last man swimming alone and now there's too many for the lifeboat so who will be left out (or something like that). I feel like Tai is also swimming alone. Though previews for next week were interesting so we'll see.I guess the girls could have a plan to play Tai...maybe get Michele to allign with him and make him think she's getting voted out so he'll use the idol on her (to keep her to help him the following week) and they really vote for Tai
-
To add to what has already been said...the whole 'me and my kids made ALDC and the show' crap....that they paved the way for these new minis. Um, didn't Abby teach Kelly when she was a kid? Seems like there were Maddies before Maddie and there will be Maddies after Maddie too.

I like the Nick actor. I think he's good. I, for one, don't see the praise for the Strand actor. He's a bit overly theatrical IMO. At first it was intriguing and now it's annoying.
-
I think Nick swam in to avoid being seen by the helicopters. The Strand actor, on Talking Dead, said they are at the border to Mexico and the helicopters are Mexican Govt? trying to keep Americans and zombies out of Mexico.
-
Very disjointed and confusing. And I was rooting one or more of them would get offed by the pirate band. Such a shame. So I am guessing that Strand is trying to meet up with his man (don't even know his name, but rich guy) and by the fella Nick went to get saying he could only get 2 across the border makes me think Strand had no intentions of bringing the whole lot of them. And that fella is clueless as to what deep shit they are all in...with his not wanting to get his car dirty to only being able to get 2 across the border (um...it's a freakin' free for all at this point). I am also getting the feeling that Strand and his man (what's his name???) knew what was coming. I feel like we're going to find that the ZA began over on the west coast (not over with our TWD gang on the east coast). Alex, from the plane crash, seemed to know what was going on too. Maybe it was developed by a government as some military weapon and it went awry.
-
You can still memorize the animals in order even though they weren't in order on that wheel. I am rooting for the 3 ladies though I think they would all like to bring goat Jason or goat Joe with them and I get the feeling that Aubry is loyal to Tai now. Interesting to watch the rest of the season and see.
-
Also, Sansa better get a cup'o Moon Tea pronto.
-
No mention of Littlefinger. I hope Sansa slits his throat.
-
I think you're on to something. Maybe they place her red necklace thing on his neck and then burn him and he rises from the fire. But there is a scene between the Red Woman and Davos in the season preview clips where she says it was all lies...we didn't see that yet. Maybe it happened and Davos will flash back to that.
-
And they all brought their own empty luggage to a beach chock full of luggage...why? I would have hurried out there and grabbed bags of stuff, immediately tossing it in the raft/boat. They dropped their bags of stuff on the beach and then got distracted in playing dress up or looking for emo-Chris or whatever. Did they even bring anything back with them?

There were other instances that just didn't jive...like when the sand snakes killed Trystane...I forget what they said but it was out of place for that scene. It's the thing I hate about The Vikings show too...too many modern lines. Last episode in that show one of the sons said 'screw you' and it just doesn't jive. I felt Jamie could have gotten that same speech out and it would have been just as powerful if he didn't say 'eff this' 'eff that' 'eff them all'. Seemed like that was playing up for the fans and a bit cheesy.

Felt is was a really disappointing premier. Dorn was dumb. The walk with Tyrian and Varys was dumb-the threat on the wall silly. The Dany stuff with the Dothraki was dumb. The running through the river with Sansa and Theon was unbelievable as they would go into hypothermia. I liked the Jamie and Cersei scene until he dropped the F bomb a few times. Hate when they sound too modern. I liked the Wall stuff and I liked that Brianne and Pod saved the day. I liked some of the Lanister stuff. Looking forward to Cersei unleashing her wrath. Liked the scene with the evil father and son (what's their names...the Sansa husband). Liked that he told his son that he was hoping his wife was preggers with a new son/heir. 2 questions: what is the Mel Crone supposed to be about? Just that she's an old women? Is she the wrong basket for Davos to put all his eggs in? And 2- why did the snakes have access to Trystane? wasn't he on the boat to KL with Jamie? And wouldn't Jamie have killed him out of vengeance or locked him up tight in KL?
