A gentleman never reveals his height, but I am 6'2" and not a day older! My heart is four times bigger than Simmons', though, so I feel that more than compensates for the height differential. I sit on benches magnificently.

OK, I suck at basketball, and I would score zero points in any game, which basically makes me the equivalent of Ben Simmons. HOWEVER, I have a great attitude, people love me, and I am a wonderful team player who would support and inspire my teammates; in this way, I think I could help the Nets win a championship and am, therefore, the superior of Ben Simmons. So, since I'm superior to Simmons in the aggregate, I feel I should have his $35.45 million salary instead. I am more deserving of it. @Magog, if you want to act as my agent and effectuate this trade, you would earn 10% of that salary. This feels right; let's make this happen!
  3. You're exactly right about that. We're a baseball/basketball city (which is too bad for me because football is my favorite of the big sports), and while the Rams are certainly more popular than the Chargers, there really isn't a big fanbase the way there is for the Lakers (whom I detest) and the Dodgers (whom I love). I think it's fair to say that even the Clippers, Angels, Ducks, and Kings have bigger fan bases. I actually do like the Rams very much, but I and half of LA were rooting for the Bengals last year. Absolutely no one here would care if the Chargers made the Super Bowl unless they were rooting against the NFC team. That's about how popular our football teams are.
  4. No, not even then. Anecdotally, there are more Rams fans here than there are Chargers fans, of whom there are almost zero.
  5. I firmly believe Russia and the IOC are just trying to extend this shitshow and hide any evidence so that everyone forgets about it and Russia can keep its ill-gotten team gold.
  6. Because the only people who've been questioning TCU's place in the top 4 are Bama fans, and that ship most certainly had not sailed for a lot of Bama fans. You were the one who said people will question TCU's spot in the top 4, so I might ask you why you even mentioned that to begin with. No one, not even most Bama fans, was doing so a week ago after TCU beat Michigan.
  7. Well, TCU did beat Michigan to make it to the title game and certainly deserved its spot in the top 4 over all other schools, including Alabama.
  8. What a devastating loss for OSU. I couldn't be happier!
  9. Same. I don't always think Derek is beautiful (David, however, always is), but his lash game is on point. Ah, Jimmy: Come to me, my darling, I'll make it all better. I broke down and had McDonald's for dinner on Tuesday, so I'm going to sue Michael Jordan because his endorsement of it in the '90s when I was so impressionable was the root cause of my weak will on Tuesday. And also because he's a big poo.

Oh, I didn't see that Bron-bron was injured, too. Poor thing.

Uh, no, not all of us would have, and I think the reasons for why Correa and Bauer are loathsome aren't particularly analogous anyway.
  12. You and I both...😏
  13. I like my men hot, which Montana just...isn't. Also, I just hate him sooooooo much for SB XXIII.
  14. Yeah, no way in hell was Montana better looking than a number of current and past QBs and especially not Jimmy G. Montana is (or was before his hair whitened) a brunet, but I'm blond.😞 I've had to learn to be funny to overcome my blondness.😏
  15. Scary Babs!! 💖💖💖
  16. Why isn't he in my bed? I hate myself.
  17. Yep, I just binged the whole show (and loved it), and I had to pause the show in both Episode 7 and Episode 8 to yell (very sanely) at both Marcus and Sydney. Carmy was completely out of line, but neither one of them owned their parts in the disaster, and it was driving me crazy. Marcus, you need to do. your fucking. job. In that moment, you were there to make cakes; experiment with your donuts some other time. Sydney, the pre-order fuck-up was yours and yours alone, and you need to own it. And what you said to Richie (who, to be fair, deserved most of what you said to him) about his daughter was loathsome. I will say that I've been a member of Al-Anon for over thirteen and a half years now, and this show is the first time I've seen Al-Anon meetings depicted fairly accurately. I was sure that Christopher Storer must also be a member, and I read an interview with him in which he said he's been going to Al-Anon for years. It shows: the way the show portrayed the family disease of addiction in Carmy's patterns of behavior, in his and Natalie's relationship, and even in Richie's patterns of behavior rang very true to me. I know it was done for dramatic purposes, but the only Al-Anon-related aspect that didn't ring true was Carmy's talking so openly about being a chef; we do not talk about our professions in meetings, although newcomers are granted a bit of grace on that.
  18. Wait, Nick Saban is acting like a smarmy, entitled asshole?? So. pathetic.
  19. The joy I felt at USC getting bitch-slapped around the field like Peyton Manning at SB XLVIII was mitigated by the sorrow I felt with the realization that either That Fucking School or That Other Fucking School will now make the playoffs, so it really ended up being a zero-sum night for me. The universe truly does strive for equilibrium. Fascinating.

Fuck Bron-bron, I am MUCH more important and interesting and incisive and superior. He should be asking ME about Jerry Jones! Why is no one asking ME about Jerry Jones??
  21. Teenager or no, Sid deserved to be punched for laughing at an obviously dementia-afflicted elderly woman, but I hate that character (and the performance), so I might be projecting... Frankly, Matt would've been well within his rights to punch Sid after the latter's crack about Elizabeth's cheating. I've read the book, and Sid is annoying in the book but more dimensional as a character; because things had to be omitted to make the movie a reasonable length, any dimension for Sid was excised, leaving a one-note and obnoxious character. The movie could probably have left him out altogether and been the better for it (and I love this movie).
  22. Oh, I've been hating the Browns since the Watson deal. I'd have loved to see them go 0-17.
