  1. Good job? I thought Deaven did makeup at a seasonal haunted house.
  2. Yep. The Vatican's like that. No bare shoulders.
  3. So he loses his shit and Brittany can't hug her producer but it's okay for him to be in her hotel room?
  4. They had a stroller when they were shopping in Kroger...Pierre was in it and Karine was pushing it at various times in the store.
  5. I'm always trying to explain this to my mom. It's only a deal if you were already planning on buying it.
  6. Yep! Sounds about right. I'm honestly surprised by the argument that Karine should be satisfied with whatever they live in because she lives in a pile of sticks back home. For starters, her house in Brazil may not have been much, but it was her home. Her parents and siblings were there. She had support. She had...walls. That first trailer was awful* and the second one was a camper. We're not talking about Areola bitching about dated furniture and dark colors here. Because she lived in a poorer (to American standards) house back in Brazil she doesn't deserve better than a former meth lab here? And they don't have to live like that. There are other options here-apartments and small houses that have actual insulation and drywall. Who knows what he told her life would be like here. Paul has a warped sense of reality to begin with. Eventually the show's going to have to do what TEEN MOM did and stop ignoring the elephant in the room. They're not poor and derelict. I know shows hate to break the 4th wall, but once TM did and they started recognizing the MTV money instead of pretending like the girls were drawing SNAP benefits the show became more enjoyable. * Unfortunately people DO rent things like that out here. They'll give people 2 free months of rent and, in return, the renters will fix them up. Even if Paul and Karine bought that trailer I wouldn't even trust him with a Bob the Builder set...
  7. Those are my favorite. I can play the shit out of the Terminator games. I'd be more concerned about Aseulu running off from his family, disrespecting his wife, lying about his whereabouts, and locking himself in a room with a video game instead of caring for his children before I'd be concerned about what the actual game was.
  8. I actually saw a real relationship this time. But then I watched next week's preview and that got shot to hell. Hard to ship Michaelangela when she keeps courting crazy.
  9. No way a horse farm would hire him. It's extremely difficult getting hired onto horse farms here, much less one that offers housing. Those are prime jobs in this area, and I doubt they'd hire him with his record of arson. Family housing is usually only offered to management level jobs (ie, farrm manager). The rest usually get dorm room style housing. In the past he might have been able to get hired on as a tobacco worker but not anymore. Our economy here no longer really supports small-midsize farms, and we lack the big industrial ones. We haven't replaced tobacco yet. Besides isn't this the same guy who got fired from shoveling horse shit? It's possible that he has applied for subsidized housing but right now Section 8 has a two-year wait list in Kentucky. Income-based housing might be a possibility, but right now we have more people than available housing. At minimum they'd have to wait at least a year to get into anything. Not sure that he and Karine would even qualify because despite their "we have no money and no jobs" narrative they probably are bringing in the income cap. Between TLC's episode payments (which, granted, aren't much but are probably giving them at least $20,000 a year), their various GFMs, and their Cameos I don't think they're hurting as much as it appears. If they're bringing in even $25,000 a year that's more than what half the people in my county make. On the show they're playing the parts of "poor young couple who need assistance." Reality may be different.
  10. The newest preview with Angela going off on the American expats...I can almost see her point (though that doesn't excuse her actions). I am confident that Sharp set the whole thing up because they knew how she'd react to "Michael and them wimen." There was no reason for her to meet them. I think it's a good idea for Michael to talk to other Americans, this was never going to go over well.
  11. Well obviously it's because he understands female anatomy so well... 😉
  12. Paul with the maxi pads was infuriating me. He needs to quit treating Karine like she just crawled out from under the Amazon River. I've bought period supplies in many different countries and even if you can't read the language, it's not that difficult to find what you need. For starters, there are pictures. And a lot of the same brands are sold worldwide. Tampons and pads don't look or work any differently in Brazil than they do here. Ironically, a lot of our fruits and vegetables are brought in from abroad. Most of the things in Kroger are not exclusive to the US. She's almost certainly seen apples and grapes before. While what they were living in in Brazil may not have been posh, I understand her frustration. I try my best to look on the bright side, but that first trailer even bothered me. It was awful. And the second was a camper. Her houses in Brazil may not have been much, but at least they were familiar. They had things like walls...
  13. They are seriously overestimating how interested we are in these people's ongoing stories. They're really scraping the barrels for storylines.
  14. Because this is the season where TLC is paying the cast and their family to return to the motherland: Deavan's mom to SK, Debbie to Brazil, Angela and her daughter to Nigeria (I think the daughter backed out at the last minute because Angela's mom's health worsened)...I bet the original plan was for Sister Kalani to return to Samoa with them before the measles outbreak. I won't be surprised to see Mother Tania in South Africa.
  15. At first I just assumed that Michael was in this for the green card. However, now I think he legitimately likes Angela. Of course, it could just be Stockholm Syndrome by now...
  16. With such a small budget, they'd do well to get out of Louisville. Especially since he's going to have trouble finding work regardless and they'll probably earn their money online. KY property can be very inexpensive outside the Louisville metropolitan area. Lots of people commute to Lexington or Louisville. This place, for instance, which may or may not be near me...No reason to get a hollowed out trailer or RV https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/1072-Dry-Branch-Rd-Irvine-KY-40336/115296936_zpid/
  17. He takes her to a dirty car, a hollowed out trailer, and a grocery store and gets mad that she doesn't love "America." I mean, generally we save those highlights for after we've roped you in with the horses and bourbon.
  18. If Pole wants to impress Kreenie with Kentucky, taking her out of strip mall, urbanized Louisville would be a start.
  19. Well, it's possible that it WAS beautiful. But since they are basically hoarders we never actually saw it.
  20. Places in KY where $500 would get more than a 10x20 lot but still be within commuting distance to jobs (not necessarily to Louisville): Richmond, Berea, Elizabethtown, Lawrenceburg, Corbin, London, Winchester, Versailles, Morehead, Somerset...Even Lexington has options. If Mother Pole and Father aren't helping then why stay in Louisville? Richmond and Lexington even have South American, including Brazilian, populations.
  21. Because TLC said, "Here's more money and a ticket!"
  22. Yes. If they'd gone an hour outside of Louisville their budget would've stretched further. There's a 3-bedroom ranch house on an acre in my county right now for $80,000. New roof and HVAC.
