Under the Mask: Clues and Clue Discussion
mamadrama replied to Meredith Quill's topic in The Masked Singer
My daughter and I thought the flamingo was Mya, but we're also open to Gloria Estefan. Eagle is Alice Cooper, maybe? Butterfly Mandy Moore? I don't know. I gotta hear them sing more. -
This is true for some countries but not all. My husband came over on a K-1 visa. The reason we chose a K-1 and not a spousal visa is because with the K-1 he was allowed to come and visit me, and even stay up to 90 days, in the US while the visa was processing. At that time the visa processing was taking about 8 months. As long as he didn't stay here for more than 90 days he was fine to come over and stay with me. He couldn't do that on the spousal visa. For a spousal visa, which could've taken 2 years, once we applied for it he wouldn't be allowed in the US until the visa was in hand. It was important that he be with me in the US while we were waiting for the visa because I was getting ready to give birth to our first son and neither of us wanted him to miss that. He is British, though, and the UK is part of the visa waiver program. Brits can travel to the US and stay for up to 3 months without a visa of any kind, just as we are allowed to go to the UK for a short stay without a visa. We actually cut it close with the visa stuff. I gave birth and then 10 days later he got the letter from the consulate saying that he needed to go to London for his interview and biometrics. We had 2 days' notice to get him a plane ticket and send him to London. He got the notice, flew over there, went through the process, and then got on a plane and came back to the US all in the same week. I don't mind Corey, and I'm sorry about his dad dying, but on social media he appears to be the same kind of fame hog as the rest of them. When people were asking him what they could do to help in his time of loss, he's been directing them to his Cameo page where you can buy personalized messages from him.

As someone who is exactly 1 inch from being medically classified as a dwarf... There are several different kinds of dwarfisms, but in most of us our limbs and such are shortened, but our proportions are correct. Also, one must be under 4'10" to be considered a dwarf. Tim is just small.

I think Florian's learned how to play the Silva game: propose to get her off his back and then continue to squeeze money out of her without ever having to commit to a wedding date. Darcey, and probably Stacey as well, put so much on a "proposal" that I don't think either one of them has designs beyond that act. To them, a proposal equals love. It's a status thing in their minds. In that way, they're not unlike teen girls. A proposal is a "blessing"? No, a proposal isn't a prize. Finding someone who loves you and thinks the sun shines out your ass is a blessing. Doesn't seem to matter that Stacey has been "engaged" for 3 1/2 years and there's no sign of an impending wedding...Maybe that's what Tom needs to to-propose just to shut Darcey up. She might actually relax then.

My favorite part of Pillow Talk: "That brother and sister relationship is weird" Cut to Coltee sipping on a juice box next to his mama on the couch. Well played, TLC. Well played.

Angela & Michael: Totin' Eggs in Powder Kegs
mamadrama replied to Drogo's topic in The Couples (Spoilers)
I love my country and all, but I just want to take him aside and say, "Dude, really, America's not worth it..." I was trying to think of an American woman on this show who we could swap Angela out with, but I'm having a hard time coming up with anyone else in this franchise who's available and less crazy. -
Spoilery Stuff: Media, Social And Otherwise
mamadrama replied to Meredith Quill's topic in 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days
And some of those promises actually HAVE been kept. They just don't fit the narrative that the show has created. For instance, they don't really live rent-free in his friend's storage facility... -
Amber: A Rill Woman Goes to Gel
mamadrama replied to David T. Cole's topic in Teen Mom: The Next Chapter
When it comes to him recording her and possibly setting the situation up I guess I feel good for him. Even if he did know which "buttons" to push, or whatever Bubby, she's still batshit crazy and dangerous. She said some scary stuff and it seemed clear to me that it wasn't the first time. If he needed to get that crap on tape to be taken seriously then that's sad but not surprising. I'm no fan of Andrew as a whole, but when I have to choose "sides", I'm going with the person who's holding the baby and worried about getting stabbed in the neck. We've seen tiny slivers from her life over the years and we all saw that the crazy ran deep with this one. If the rest of the cast and crew are just now seeing it themselves then they were either in deep denial or blind and deaf. -
Caesar & Maria: Getting Nailed In More Ways Than One
mamadrama replied to Drogo's topic in The Couples (Spoilers)
No matter how you look at it, Caesar is a few eggs short of a cake. Either all of this is real, making him one of the stupidest men alive, or he faked it and allowed TLC to make him look like the stupidest man alive. Nothing about any of this makes sense. -
This Instagram account uncovered a lot of the original public posts between Jenny and Michael Jones. Not only did he use a fake photo, but he also claimed to be American and to live in LA (and yet Jenny, only 2 hours away, never met him)...I got sucked into this rabbit hole... https://www.instagram.com/crazyeyeskm2/

I went back and watched all of Darcey and The Meester's episodes again. Now that we've seen her with Tom, I feel like Jesse DID have her number and was right about a lot of things, but he's still one of the biggest assholes I've ever seen on "reality TV" so I can't justifiably give him any credit.

Amber: A Rill Woman Goes to Gel
mamadrama replied to David T. Cole's topic in Teen Mom: The Next Chapter
His lack of affect IS a little odd to me, but people handle situations differently. I do feel like he was using exposition in case he ever needed to share that recording, though. "Don't hit me when I'm holding James", "why do you want to stab me", "why won't you take your medicine", etc. Not a bad thing to do, just kind of clever. Her lack of denial is pretty good evidence that she was guilty of saying/doing those things. For instance, she COULD come forward and say, "I never hit him while he was holding James". Since there's no video of it, it COULD have turned into a he said/she said situation. Because he spoke it aloud "don't hit me" and she didn't correct him, it's added proof that she really did it. Dude might be weird, but he's no dummy. -

The Darcey twins are just focused on making themselves look good. They're not funny. -
Her comments made more sense if you put them in context of the spoilers and online rumors. She sounded very much like someone who did not want to be involved with this and was finally able to state what she'd wanted to say for a while. I almost wish I could find a sucker like Caesar, though I don't think he sent her as much as he claimed. Every broke ass loser I dated had ME paying for everything. In hindsight, I have been the sucker in the past.

My oldest was born in 2007 and when we visited a foreign country (I don't want to say which one and start a big debate) the car rental company looked at us like we had two heads when we asked if they had a car seat to rent. Car seats simply aren't common there. I was born in 1980 and I never rode in a car seat, hardly ever wore a seatbelt. I don't think most of our cars even HAD seatbelts until I was a young teen. Throughout the 80s I rode with my cousins in the back of pickups, sat in my grandmother's lap, would frequently move from front to back while the car was in motion, etc. My mom didn't own a carseat until her grandchildren were born.

Amber: A Rill Woman Goes to Gel
mamadrama replied to David T. Cole's topic in Teen Mom: The Next Chapter
What makes me mad is that they're doing this under the guise of "increasing awareness" or "sharing his/her 'story'" or whatever. Let's get real... When something like this happens, the show's producers are about 20% filled with concern and 80% gleefully rubbing their hands together as they think of the ratings and attention. When David did something batshit crazy, they totally cut him out of filming and acted like he no longer existed. When Amber did something batshit crazy, they flew down a camera crew, gave her makeup and wardrobe, handled her with sympathetic kid gloves...It's disgusting. -
S03.E11: Secret, Secret, I've Got a Secret
mamadrama replied to Drogo's topic in 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days
I didn't care for either Tariq or the other dude on his season. In PT, though, they're awesome. I enjoy the PT better than the actual episodes. -
I refused to believe it was her at first. Her face looked like someone who'd been in a bad accident and reconstructed by a blind plastic surgeon. It made me sad.
-
One of the main producers on this show is ALSO a producer from Amber's storylines on TEEN MOM OG, if that also provides some context. And she's been hauled in twice for dv...
-
Well, see, therein lies the problem...you're applying logic to a situation that defies it. 😄 I'm 4'10" in heels. 6" stilletos don't make me appear taller-they make me look like a dwarf in stilletos. I've come to own the fact that if my ears were more pointed I wouldn't look out of place in a Peter Jackson film.

I thought @Drogo said in an earlier thread that we were allowed to discuss the episode, even beforehand, as long as we kept it under the proper board? We have done it with all the other episodes with the "sneak peeks" that we've watched On Demand. We just can't discuss this episode yet under any other thread, like the couples' threads, until it airs. I have watched and discussed every episode a week in advance this season.

I smell producer play, too, but even then I was still getting ragey watching Darcey's lack of care or sympathy. And if I'd been Tom, when she started going through those shoes I'd have hailed a cab and left her short ass there on the sidewalk. IF this is really her and not production malarkey then girlfriend has waaayyy more issues than proposal fever and Twin Competition Syndrome.
