What was with Bethenny saying they took their affair on the road after the Regency? I was glad no one took the bait.. but still want the goss lolI

I think the poster was trying to say that B was presenting it as a charitable act where she used her business acumen to assist random fellow female entrepreneur with her product. In reality the woman was a wealthy business associate of Bethenny's who got a tv plug and great marketing gimmick i.e. everyday woman with a dream. I didn't see the episode, just my understanding of the post.

OT but I just heard a great podcast (kate casey i think?) with the guys who produced her spinoff. One told a story about being the first person B called upon finding out she's pregnant. Apparently she was freaking out because the show was supposed to be a sex and the city theme and she thought she was screwed before filming. Puts the pee stick scene in perspective!

Thank you! I distinctly remember her entire PR campaign for the "suck at relationships" book was that women need to follow their gut more. I remember her promo run because she had the same conversation over and over about how men go w their gut and she knew before walking down the aisle something felt off but women will "paint it pretty". I vaguely remember her even jokingly blaming Andy at one point for the pressure to go on with the perfect fam storyline.

Of course but would a close friend bring it up for the first time on camera and risk saying something that will hurt B in court? Especially a close friend of Bethenny would know how sensitive she is to her business hitting the media "news cycle" as we saw with Kristen for example. She was really angry that a pretty innocuous comment hit the blogs for a couple days. With this the stakes are much higher. She also knows there will be criticism if it's completely ignored so having a friend you trust as a castmate is a big advantage. I mean the BH cast since season 2 has spilled on Vanderpump being ahead of the curve on how to craft favorable soundbites. Her and Kyle serve eachother alleyoops all the time. I don't know why this is even a reach they're supposed to be doing this to an extent. It's a commercial to sell your image/wares at the end of the day, not a docu.

This argument doesn't really work because asking Carole to say these things isnt Bethenny sharing her life, it's essentially a public relations move. It wasn't contrived because the details were specific but rather bc the topic is seemingly off-limits for organic discussion, rightfully so imo. I haven't complained about her hiding her life but I would imagine those that have are referring to her keeping boyfriends off screen (/pretending to be single season 7) while going hard on the other women's relationships. Makes sense. For me, pointing the carole scene out isn't a knock to Bethenny so much as these housewife chess moves are the most interesting to discuss. *Kanye shrug*

Love reads like this :) I got the vibe John was that guy but didn't know it was this deep. Puffy knows everybody and has his own reputation for being a low-key bully that doesn't take "no"; so for him to call John to get it done says a lot. The writer comparing him to Jakob the jeweler is interesting (and a little shady). *Off to google to see who else John's messy ex-assistant spoke to.*

I would say there's no housewife more savvy about what to say and not say on Camera/creating narratives than Bethany. Especially on a topic that affects her bottom line and involves litigation. I am actually surprised people think Bethenny would casually discuss something like this at this stage of the game. She has a restraining order and custody agreement and anything on the show can be cited in court. Either way there's nothing unique about this, from what I understand housewives usually know what the main topic of discussion is when they have these scenes this is just noteworthy because it's so obvious (and juicy content).

Just heard her interview with Heather McDonald and she bought a bottle of Xanax while they were in Mexico, just for kicks. Thats fine but how did they let this girl be the sober preachy chick?? And why was that not said or shown as a counter to her criticisms of kim? This is my biggest problem with Beverly Hills the past couple of seasons, they take the lamest plot lines, beat them to death and amp up the Pearl clutching to the phoniest level possible. then completely ignore other interesting tidbits. I wish I could be a fly on the wall when they decide what to completely ignore and why it's a good idea to gas things like pantygate all the way up. Like last reunion andy literally mentioned Erica greeting Vanderpump on the phone with "Hey Diva" and brought up lisas use of the word pussy for the second year in a row as reaches to shade lisa while duck tales hadid sat untouchable. These choices make no sense ti me! End rant.

Well as she pointed out, hilariously, in the S4 reunion, she doesn't address wedding attire in her book. They were arguing about alex wearing cream to a wedding and citing emily post.

There is no doubt that they had that conversation initially off-camera. People don't realize most of these type of scenes are reenactments or pick ups. One example that sticks out, the original Munchhausen conversation at LVPs w a wide-eyed Kyle fidgeting, was a redo of Kyle and Rinna's convo at a previous dinner. They even said it at the reunion, down to the "i knew about Munchhausen by proxy for children, I had never heard of..." At this point Kyle's a vet and would not risk the wrath of kim from sandbagging her with that type of conversation.

Ugh did you notice Rinna signal to Eileen when it was time to back her over Kyle's lips joke? Their planned points are such lame reaches.

Super random tidbit but I did a podcast search for love and hip-hop interviews and was listening to one that included a q&a with Erica Jayne from 2013. Nothing juicy except that she played coy about whether she was single or not. I get that sometimes artists want to appear avail but she had been married forever, just interesting she came in the game like that. Omg! I just watched this episode and I swear I had to rewind the shot of an extremely cat-faced Adrienne saying that to Taylor. Like htf did she think that would be helpful?! She was always annoying during Taylor's meltdowns, she would cover her mouth (which I find really obnox even if it was good intention) and the screaming over her at the final Sur dinner. Adrienne could definitely grate.

Oooo I didn't know about the paycheck part, that totally fills in the blanks. That stassi/lvp reunion fight was epic to me as the only time someone had lisa rattled n out her character and the nasty was really coming out till Andy caught it and saved her. Stassi held her own where mannnny bravo bitches have failed. #Salute

The billboard cover links say advertisement in the corner…guessing she paid for an ad? If so that brings the bill even higher. I'm fascinated as well, those features are not cheap and Crazy is produced by Scott Storch who in his peak was charging six figures per song and private plane accommodations (see Christina Aguilera beef lol). And I think her MUA used to be JLo's. I'm sure Tom's connections get him serious hook ups but still, she is operating as an A-list artist without the returns.

I totally agree with this. At the end of season 2 when Stassi exiled Kristen, her and Ariana seemed to get along, with Stassi even telling her she had her back in the whole Vegas kiss scandal. I didn't connect the dots till reading your post but one thing that used to annoy me about Tom was his mysterious hatred for Stassi, so no doubt that's rubbed off. He used to repeat the same cocky speech on pumped podcast like "have you ever noticed i'm not in any scenes w her anymore, she knows I would absolutely DESTROY her!" which was met with nervous laughter instead of asking what the fuck do you care about her?? At that time he was the ex-boyfriend of her friend, why was he so invested and why would it be weird that they didn't have scenes together? He's so extra lol

Forget filming the breakup being shameless but she's actually been promoting the scenes on social media! It's like she doesn't have enough brains or shame to realize famewhores usually pretend they hate that the cameras caught this type of stuff or "they signed up so they have to" spin. She's actually excited about it, makes me cringe. Apparently they went back after the season wrapped to include the divorce storyline. On some podcast Scheana said those pickup scenes were filmed in October, when was the wedding?

No I was pointing out that he made no attempt to interact with her at all, even as she tried to hang on him at times. It stood out to me given how much of a flirt he is. And by the way I was being facetious. I do think she's a poser with no swag though.

Some random observations while Erika's in the hot seat: when she came on I fell in a YouTube hole and watched her videos back to back.. - she got an amazing A-list makeover at some point because her choreography, styling and plastic surgery went from ashy to classy/perfection. Probably wouldn't stand out without seeing one after the other but her only dance move was flipping her hair (whoa kyle bond!) and she goes from civilian pretty to celebrity hot (tightened bod n amaz face work). - So she features Maino on the song Crazy. He's great but has a rep as the biggest flirt and playboy in hip-hop but in the video could not show any less love for Erika. Super cold body language, I don't think he touched her once not even the standard arm around the shoulder dancey crap. I need to go back and watch but I remember thinking she must be a huge bitch bc he presses on everyone. Catchy song tho!
