    * First, I also think Naomi knew Cyn was dead as soon as he walked in there because she made up her mind she had to go no matter what. Regarding Cyn not going back in, he was caught unawares and I thought at first he was suspended in the airlock with nothing to grab onto, but actually he had his hand on the door frame. Naomi was prepared, took a deep breath, and pushed with everything she had. ** Space Pirate Marcus Sparrow. [needs eye-patch] What happened to the real star of the show?*** ***whatever happens to be hurtling towards Earth lately.

I noticed that in particular the exterior shots of the Roci were very nice, longer and more detailed.

Gratuitous Amos skin-fest. I was forced to avert my eyes.
  4. It's hard to give xmas and birthday gifts to the love of your life, because you've already given them so much! That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
  5. TLS? TBS?
  6. For me it's a WWII sea mine That Clarissa is a multi-murderer is true, yet her thwarting of Ashford on the bridge of the Behemoth was a major contribution to saving the entire solar system. I agree this is one of the best episodes yet for one of the best series ever.
  7. The CO was good. Then I suffered through what may have been the worst monologue in SNL history. Was the January Jones monologue that bad? Then I suffered through the first 30 seconds of Secret Word, just long enough to watch Kate enter and try to out-Kristen Kristen. Then I thought, "There must be 1,000 other things to watch besides this piece of shit," and turned off SNL so I could watch Chris Rock and Jason Schwartzman in s4 of Fargo. [scrolls to top of thread to see if there's any chance I missed something in this episode worth watching]

    Amos gets the best lines.
  9. Same here. His music is OK, but I'd definitely go to a show if reasonable because everyone would be having a great time. I loved this episode, except for WU. Kate's male characters are becoming one-dimensional and silly, and unfortunately, that's about all she's doing anymore. The virus sketch was a once-in-a-lifetime (we hope) opportunity for some great gallows humor, and the herpes and Spanish flu bits added nice twists. I don't give a flying fahew about Dionne Warwick's tweets, but the sketch was creative and funny regardless, and props to Ego's singing. The cake sketch always gets me and the "I see corn!" "That's a marshmallow!" exchange was top-shelf scatological humor.
  10. Source? We need to get a Save the Expanse Again movement going. From Chatham's quote a month or two ago, the cast and staff were up for doing all the books. Of course, for them it's a paycheck, too.
  11. NPR is in SNL mode? NPR Pop Culture Happy Hour on SNL now (podcast)
  12. I love Chappelle and Carrey-- usually. I wanted this show to lift me up, sort of the way the 2016 post-election show did, and it just didn't. They need Kyle Mooney to play Joe Biden!
  13. @SoMuchTV For clarity, you were correct that it was an Emily tribute and also correct that was an attempt at a timely erection week joke.
  14. Your first instincts were correct, and I think so are your spellings.
  15. No, because Wiig. Hey, while we're at it, what's all this fuss about a presidential erection?
  16. Isn't his mother a Democrat? The title of the one special, "The Comeback Kid," is largely a reference to the chunk therein about his mom meeting Clinton in college and then again later when he first ran for president, and how infatuated she was with him. That doesn't for sure mean she's a dem, but I was left with that impression; that his mom was and his dad wasn't.
  17. This sums up my sentiments. The monologue wasn't funny until the very very end. Most of the show was good, even though it seemed to be a by New Yorkers for New Yorkers episode. The musical number was boring. I did, however, like the Central Park pre-taped sketch. Now off to jam on some Ohio Players . . .
  18. In his podcast, Burr was very thankful to everyone and talked about how nervous he was up until showtime. He mentioned all the cast by name but singled out Kate, Heidi, and Punky (whom he knew from the Comedy Store in LA). He also said he was supposed to host last March or April.
  19. Apologize if I mentioned this elsewhere, but when she recently did Marc Maron's podcast, she said she got caught at high school with the first bag of weed she ever bought, was suspended, and transferred to a Catholic school for the rest of the year.
  20. FWIW it's worth, he's married to Nia Hill, a black woman. She kicks ass (sometimes his) when she comes on his podcast. they have two kids now so she isn't on nearly as much. They should have a TV show together.
  21. Concur with your take on Raised by Wolves, which I loved at least until that ending. Afterwards, I searched the interwebs for Landshark gifs and found surprisingly few. Luckily (?), I have the ability to ration episodes so I'd rather have them drop at once, but if the trade-off is better post-ep "afterparty," it's prolly worth it. The makers of this show seem to be really into fan interaction so it oughta be good.
  22. I love Jack White and that genre but he wasn't very good the last time he was on. Perhaps he'll revert to a single-mic set up (two at the most) and leave the three-mic shows to Neal Brennan.
  23. https://www.theatlantic.com/culture/archive/2020/10/snl-season-46-premiere-jim-carrey-joe-biden/616609/ The Atlantic didn't care much for s46e1. I did and didn't care much for the Atlantic review, which was inconsistent. There's a nice attention grabbing headline that is almost completely negated two paragraphs in. Whaddyagonnado?
  24. Bill Burr's an interesting choice, and this will be two stand-ups hosting in a row. He knows Pete Davidson and was in The King of Staten Island, which I've not yet seen. He's also in the movie, The Opening Act, which debuts in a couple weeks, but that seems to be a fairly "small"movie. Hrrrmmm.
