  1. Since the network already once passed on Wayward Sisters/Daughters, that would be a no-deal anyway. I think the lead actress was moving on before it got even announced that it wouldn't go through. I thought the premise was pretty awful anyway. And hells to the no for more Jackie Stu or something like that. Creating a spin-off for SPN is gonna be hard either way. I can see why they went the prequel route. Maybe an anthology-like series of first Season John/Mary, second Season young Bobby/young Rufus etc could be a way to go if that is in the cards.
  2. I think they`ll just not explain it and just have him be an omnicient narrator. I`m sure he`ll identify himself in relation to them aka call them his parents and their story but I don`t imagine they`ll go into the logistics of why/how he would know details of a story he wasn`t privvy to and for the sake of narration he is just gonna know.
  3. They might not frame it at all and just have him narrate it. Not pinning it down to a time, place or context. And I really think it will just a loose framing device anyway to not take away from the "present" happening of young John and Mary. I don’t watch too much young Sheldon, some Goldbergs which also has an "grown up kid narration" device and the show is 99 % focused on the actual happenings.
  4. And maybe it wouldn't have been that blown up if not every blog and news outet hadn't picked it up and ran with headlines on "Jared Padalecki feels gutted yada yada". Which came after the tweets. Maybe it's a super-slow newsweek thatbasically even the Sunday paper of Podunk Nowhere ran with a story about CW-level Drama but here we are. I wish it had been a thing just between them, no matter what it entailed but in this day and age it would be naive to believe once it's out on twitter like that, it won't lead to a huge blow-out.
  5. My condolences as well, @7KSTAR, so sorry for your loss.
  6. But I do know what happens in terms of what I'm making the judgement for. Jared, once again, used social media to air personal grievances and weaponized his online fanbase, this time against a fan. His making the whole thing public so multiple headlines picked it up is no speculation. It is a fact. That he did this before is a fact. Noone has to speculate on half-truths when it comes to that. And I judge him for that proven pattern of behaviour. And "maybe something something did something something first to provoke him" just is no excuse for me. He is an adult, he is responsible for his reactions. Which to me in this case was especially poor from start to finish. The "please don't send hate" after the fact is completely disingemous for me. So I'm not judging anyone here for stuff I don't know how they handled, only for stuff I know exactly what they did because it's out for all to see. Nor do I think it's just a "well maybe it wasn't handled the best but..." matter or "everyone else shouldn't have triggered him because they know how he is" matter. Especially does it not fall under the umbrella of "honesty" for me. Maybe noone will ever stop that coddling and make him grow up but that doesn't mean I can't judge the behavior nor do I have to blame other people for it. I think Jared's twitter shows no class, weakness and I have zero respect for how he handles himself.
  7. But you see, they brought it on themselves. It's a version of "well, if she wouldn't have worn that skimpy dress...."
  8. Noone has friends like that because that is not a friend.
  9. But you more or less said Jared having no obligation to be professional because Jensen apparently fell down on HIS obligation of not including Jared. If he had no such obligation, then what is the excuse for Jared`s public tantrum? Of course he victimized himself in his favour again, he is very good at that. Maybe some day he will have to take the consequence and a good trashing for that. It`s certainly sorely needed for him to maybe grow up. Now I already know if it ever did happen, we couldn`t expect a classy reaction.
  10. Actors in one show, no matter how long it went on for are never "owed" to be involved in any way in a related project. Unless they hold the creative legal rights, their previous acting job entitles them to absolutely nothing. Jared has been in the buisness for 20 years, he can't not know this super-simple fact.
  11. Normally, I hate retconning but I would laugh and laugh and laugh if this or any project contimously farted in the face of every Dabb lol!canon ever. Like really tear it down. That would be just desserts to me after what that guy did.
  12. Because of course then excluding (and likely further trashing) Dean would have been totally a-okay. More like the Finale. That's why I never want him to get any rights to make that.
  13. Jensen got a lot of flack from Jared fans from what I've seen so they are hardly a meek little bunch. As did I see a lot of "Jared did nothing wrong" - which incidentally is likely why he keeps doing things that way. One can debate on whether it's better or worse that this time it did'nt hit some poor underpaid service worker but a friend. And if a courtesy call to Misha was warranted or not - well, he didn't make a big issue out of it, did he? He made a cute tweet in response, no matter what he might have thought privately. Maybe he could be the one to serve as an example here.
  14. Why would it? He can have relationships with whom he wants. Personally, me not liking some of them doesn't Influence my perception of him as a talented actor or a good person. At worst he does something I heavily roll my eyes at. No big deal.
  15. I would like to see the young actors again from SPN. I think both are likeable, talented and did well in the role. Though ironically they might have aged out of what the characters are supposed to be at that point. However, so was very much adult Mary after she "came back" (soulless).
  16. Walker picked up a lot of apparently much older viewers than the CW normally had. That was due to the brand name recognition. If it was just a randon procedural-esque soap opera on the CW, I doubt it would have done as well. That's why Hollywood is currently rebooting everything ever made ever. The CW itself has two other reboot-esque shows currently on.
  17. The young versions of each character aren't that hated though. From what I've seen there is a distinction in fan's minds between those and the older ones.
  18. Because if someone is prone to throwing tantrums, the correct response is always to tread on eggshells around them and cater to their every whim. I think people doing that for so long is why Jared never, ever grows up. Why should he if it always gets him his way?
  19. And for the last few years SPN was a never-ending Ralph Boner joke.
  20. Well, at this point after throwing this tantrum, JP shouldn't be included honestly. Because, sure, lets cater to him even more after he threw he weight around.
  21. I saw quite a few comments of "how could they cut Jared out of the deal, waaaah". So did everyone demand Jensen gets producer credit and earnings from Walker? Why in the hell would Jared get anything from the production company of other people? He owns no rights to SPN whatsoever. People confuse having been an actor in something with having the rights to it. And again, if Jared wanted those, he could have gone after such a project. I'm guessing Chaos Machine is leasing them/has aquired the rights. Or partial rights from Kripke.
  22. Yup, that's the thing about acting like an adult - only AFTER acting like a child got you everything you wanted. And did all the damage. Some of which is not gonna be undone. I can't respect it and I can't take it seriously. I hope their careers continue to go their very separate ways.
  23. But that's just it, that the premiere issue in a production company trying their hands on their first project has to be the consideration of Jared's feelings. So much so that the poor guy just had no choice to resolve this in any professional manner but blow up on his social media. Poor thing, he just couldn't be expected to be professional, right? Not too much to ask of anyone else but with him it's just always "oh well, not the best idea but how could he not?" For the upteenth time. Now maybe the project will never get made and no SPN project will ever get made again. Frankly, I wouldn't care about that at all. I wasn't bowled over by the initial announcement either. But I do hope somehow Jensen aquired the rights for his character so no trash project can be made about Dean either. Not anymore than SPN already ended as. Because I know a long list of people who would absolutely do just that.
  24. Misha's post - and clearly he didn't know either - was much different than Jared's. Apoarently Jensen, Kripke, the CW and Warner Bros first concern should have been to make sure to tell Jared first. So as not to expect super blowback on social media. If you think about it, this is ridiculous. They could have expected to not get super blowback on social media, no matter what. And from anyone else they could have.
  25. What did Jared expect? Be the lead and focus in any SPN-related projects althewhile doing Walker? At this point noone knows what that "narration" would even entail. It could be as much as a little introduction every episode or just few words for a Pilot episode. IF anyone has any interest in getting this project of the ground, then it needs to stands on its own and actually focus on just John and Mary and actually yes "Dean and Sam who". Their show is over. Even if it sucked for one character.
