It's very possible, of course. And imdb is not the most trustworthy source in the world. They did get some things right about SPN before so I'm not totally counting it out.

I think he does care a great deal. But for a fan, the character is all they know, their life, their feelings, they know them better than perhaps even a best friend. That can create an intense level of investment over time. The actor we know maybe 5 % of their public persona. Whereas the actor themselves is of course 100 % of his own person, on top of the character they play. And they will have to draw a line between where they begin and the character ends. By necessity I think that creates a different level of investment. So while I believe he loves Dean as a character, I think it is a different way than Dean-fans love the character. I mean the comedy improvs that often made the character look stupid were his ideas. Different perspective in having fun on set and watching the final product and finding the scene funny.

I think they are but Jensen isn't as competitive about it as Jared that his character has to be the bestest evar. And I think he just doesn't have that level of investment fans have. Which I don't mean as a negative, I think it's probably natural and healthy. If an actor was as super-invested in a character they play as a fan, it would probably not good for them and their personal life.

As an actor on the show he would have a different perspective on it to a degree. Very good money for increasingly less time. Steady job. Genuinely enjoys the environment on set and the crew he works with. All perks no mere viewer has.

Oh, I love BY. Unlike Jack he gets away with being treated, fawned over and coddled like a baby, though, by...being an actual baby. 😀 Yeah, she is very mistaken about that. SPN is way too old-skewing for the Riverdale-crowd. I think thr overlap is at best minimal.

I think he has been introduced to appeal to a younger demographic. The brothers and Cas have aged out of a certain target audience so enter Jack, a cutesy teenage-looking guy (well, TV-teenage) who is sometimes emo, sometimes beige but always the apple of nearly everyone's eye. He is the Baby Yoda of Supernatural. And online he is popular with a younger demo.

She has also proven to be an easily directable tool.

Berens is a woobie Cas stan so maybe he will be too focused on that. Looks like Sam comes up with the plan while I guess Cas will kill Death. And then somehow get taken by the Empty. Dean will just wibble over poor Cas. Which actually would be best case scenario from Berens. Then 19 is by the Nep Duo. Which also is best case scenario at this point. The Finale being by Badd again will just suck.

I've been almost 100 % before this episode that Dabbernatural just can't be taken seriously. This was so ridiculously OOC, it cements it. I mean, how does the character from the previous Seasons exist in that same time frame? Dabbernatural doesn't have plot or character logic. It only has dopey Stu's, heralded as the epitome of what a person should be like.

Since imdb was right about Amara being in this episode - way before we got the promo pics that spoiled it - Emily Swallow is listed for episode 20. As is Rob Benedict. This strikes me as odd since I`m pretty sure he wrapped after ep 19. And I don`t know if Emily went in for quarantine. Though it`s possible they shot something out of order. If they are small roles, it could be. Alex Calvert isn`t in episode 20 apparently. So it`s possible ep 19 aka the Season Finale ends with talking Chuck down (or imprisoning him or whatever) and then they split again for short bits in ep 20. I`m still not counting out the "possession" rumour. We now saw how "unification" looks like. Kinda. Wouldn`t make sense if a human could hold either of them but whatever.

Also, getting into Death's library and Chuck's book... "I'm sure that will be hard..." "Actually, it's gonna be super-easy, barely an inconvenience."

Pretty much as expected. Dean got hit by a semi repeatedly. Sam wore a halo and Cas polished it. And seriously, this is Amara's ending? If they are equally powerful, why does any kind of "unity" have one come out on top of the other?

Obviously the magic shrooms are gonna be Adam and his hippie chick. Maybe Nougat takes them.

I'm pretty sure from one of the promos that not only will Dean headbut and punch Sam but also pull a gun on him. One promo is edited to make it look like he will pull a gun on Chuck but if you slow it down, you see that it's not. You can see it is a figure wearing the shirt Sam wears in this ep. Ultra character-bashing mode activated. I'm sure that is the "shocking moment" Fisher teased. And it will be the culmunation of angry/broken/failure Dean who is unable to believe in his autonomy. I would even expect his "sweet speech" to Nougat to be all about himself, so he can be free of Chuck - no mention of the world - while Sam acknowledges the world. And afterwards Sam the martyr, with a bleeding nose, will give a sweet speech to Dean. I mean, doesn't this all sound awesome? If you hate the character, I mean.

The way Natalie Fisher teases this next episode, I expect Dean-bashing and Sam-saintifying to the highest order.

I think what he wasn't happy with is how/where they end up. Maybe not so much even the minutia of the episode A thought I had for the next ep: if Chuck storms the bunker at the end and Nougat looks in bad shape, maybe that's where Amara comes in? Saving them for the time being? Because otherwise how do they survive? Is Chuck still villain-monologuing so much he doesn't kill them? If Nougat can't hack it - and he is only supposed to be a suicide bomb, not go mano a mano powerwise, they got absolutely nothing. (I thought about going for the obvious pun here.)

I don't think Misha filmed for 19 and 20, though. Unless he did it on the first day of 19 before the lockdown. And 19 is the resolution so if he died from happiness, it would only happen then. I think he will be the one to die/sacrifice for the Nougat in 18. And 19 will have some kumbayah nonsense with Michael and Lucy.

IMO Cassie would have been even weirder than Lisa because she pretty much made it clear at the end of the episode that she had zero interest or investment in a relationship. I figure she wouldn't even remember his name by the time of Seadon 5. Lisa was awkward as well but at least they re-introduced her in Season 5 before the Finale. They needed to have done even more to reintroduce Cassie.

Agreed. I refuse to give Badd`s terrible fanfiction Seasons any legitimacy.

There is no way, Jack, the saint of all Nougats would be revealed as anything less than the Gary Stu with a dopey smile they always portray him as. I still think he will literally "inherit the Earth".

Yes, it is effective. Though even moreso because the Nougat is seen as this absolute cutesy Stu who must never, ever be harmed.

He mentioned it in several interviews now as a possibility of something that may happen in 5 or 6 years, not as a concrete plan. Though with his new production company, there may be more validity to it if he is really and truly interested (and remains that way in a couple years). While your character outline is not wrong, the worst offenders of that are Badd, Berens and Perez. The Nep Duo is so-so but they can write decent Dean if the mood strikes. Better them do the Season Finale and God conclusion than Berens or Badd.

Kripke can declare his admiration all he wants, I thought she was godawful as an actress.
