  1. And here is the link to the full forum for Kite Man: Hell Yeah!
  2. So... After claiming that I had no interest in purchasing a salt grinder, I ordered what is probably the same OXO salt grinder you have yesterday on Amazon. The story is as follows: Spring 2023 - Loving my new pepper grinder; still no interest in grinding salt Summer 2023 - Eating many (MANY) tomato sandwiches. Saw a Himalayan sea salt "grinder" with the salt in it for $2.99 at the supermarket Purchased it and enjoyed many more tomato sandwiches. Late summer 2023 - Started using the sea salt grinder on many other things. Early fall 2023 - Piece of crap $2.99 grinder stopped working. Yesterday - Bought a good one.
  3. I did check the freezer. Nope. And it's just my kids, and one only goes in the fridge to get salsa and the other one doesn't use mayo. So it wasn't them. OMG! The installers finally came yesterday with my new dryer. After they hauled out the old one, I grabbed my vacuum cleaner and quickly sucked up any dust/lint that was in the closet before they brought in the new one. As I poked the nozzle around the back of the washer, I heard a FLOOP sound. I looked in the vacuum and sure enough, it was a missing sock! Maybe I should stick vacuum hose around the back of the fridge and see if sucks up a jar of mayo.
  4. I lost a jar of mayonnaise. Like, I looked in the refrigerator for it yesterday to make a tomato sandwich, and I as far as I can tell, it's not in there. I moved a LOT of stuff around looking for it. Found a jar of vegan mayo in the back (tossed that in the trash), but no sign of the Hellman's. I am certain that I did not use it up and forgot, because I 100% would have brought out a new jar from the pantry. I'm also 100% certain that neither of my children would have used it or tossed it. Where the F did it go?
  5. The NFC South is still feeling like a wide open division. Starting 0-4 is a really bad way to be part of it, but I would think the Panthers could still play some meaningful games this year. As I've mentioned a few times, I liked the Bucs more than pretty much everybody this year, but they're not a lock to run away with anything. The Saints and Falcons looked like they're nothing to write home about yesterday. All is not lost yet for the Panthers, but they need to get some key players back. And realistically, the best thing that can happen this year is for them to get to OL sorted out and get a year of useful experience for the QB.
  6. I agree. I think he probably took his role of advisor somewhat seriously, which is in line with what I know about him. So he dialed it down a bit.
  7. Oh. Yeah... That doesn't help. I didn't think about that from a fan base perspective. Stroud has been really good. And on that note, that's some head coaching job going on in Houston right now. Same for Arizona and Indianapolis. None of those teams got any respect going into the season, and they're all playing tough even if they're not racking up wins.
  8. I almost never use a list. I just wing it and forget stuff I was supposed to get all the time. The only time I go to the store with a list is when my daughter gives me specific things she needs. And that "list" is a series of texts with pictures of the items I am to purchase.
  9. Sounds like they're a little banged up, and without a particularly strong roster to start, it's showing on the field. They've got defensive backs out, and they're starting a rookie and a waiver claim at the guard spots on the OL. I've got a LOT of experience watching what happens when you lose starting offensive linemen at multiple spots along the line, and it usually looks like what happened to the Panthers yesterday: Five sacks in the second half, including one that resulted in a fumble/defensive touchdown. Hopefully they'll get back the one guard who is still recovering from last year's injury, and they'll give that young QB a little more time to work with.
  10. Getting the free advertisement was the first reason I thought those guys were here. But it became pretty clear (by the way they were super willing to take any decent offer) that what they were looking for was real help to fix the problems with their product. Having already been successful entrepreneurs, they were much more capable than most of the people on this show of seeing that they were NOT on the path to $50M of annual sales, which is (per them) the number they need to hit to make it a win. I thought this was a really good example for everybody who comes on this show with their first product. Identify what a shark can do for you; identify the financial goal you need to hit; be willing to trade off a stake in your company that assures that the shark wants a bite of that carrot as much as you do, and make a deal when all of that lines up.
  11. My knowledge of Southern California highways, and the way to refer to them, comes entirely from the SNL "The Californians" skits.
  12. The NFL consistently claims the top 18 of 20 highest rated primetime TV shows every year. (They have most of the next 20 as well.) So it's not like they need any help. However it would be criminal neglect of any network covering a Chiefs game not to give plenty of looks at Taylor Swift when she's in attendance of a game. (And Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as long as they're at it, but mostly Taylor Swift.) The Chiefs/Bears game last week did the second best ratings number of the year at 24.3 million viewers, which was just behind the opening game at 24.7 million. I'm willing to bet that given the week of all the non-football fans getting up to speed on what's going on, that last night's game will now be the highest rated game of the season. So I'm just going to roll with it. Heck I might even decided to become invested in it, as I'm convincing myself as I'm typing right now that it's definitely part of any Chiefs game as long as she's in attendance. The Chiefs have three more prime time games: Thursday Oct. 12 (home Broncos, so any reason to watch would be welcome.) Nov. 20 home, Eagles (If they're still a couple, this would be a fun one for her to go to, as hanging with Mom Kelce during that game could be cool.) Dec. 3 @ Packers (Taylor gets to put on cute Winter outfits!) They also have a 9:30 AM game vs Miami on Nov. 5. I'm assuming that game is in London (all new people to get excited about a Swift sighting!), and a bunch of the 4 PM games that might be national games.
  13. Im thinking the Jets are going to need 14 more points from their defense, but I’m not thinking the Chiefs will be as accommodating as the Patriots were today with Dallas. (Side note: The broadcast today noted that Dallas had led the league two years in a row which never happens. It’s really hard to figure.)
  14. At least with the Giants, after week six, they’ll only pop up on prime time once more. Not sure how many Jets games are left.
  15. The Giants got stuck with 4 of their first 6 at night. We have a theory that the brutal front loaded schedule is punishment for Mara being SO vocal a opposing the idea of flexing teams into Thursday games.
  16. The US is atrocious in foursomes. After 0-4 on Thursday, I think they went 1-3 on Friday. Just a couple points and it would have been fun to watch today. He’s not wearing the licensed gear without getting paid to wear it. golfers have been doing this for 30 years, it’s no big deal.
  17. Bills hanging up 31 first half points on the Dolphins. After listening to their fans all week, I’m rooting for another 31 in the second half. Also, HOW BAD IS THE BRONCOS DEFENSE? The Bears (!) are beating them 21-7 right now?
  18. Products include a low calorie chocolate, a wine to pair with pizza, a medical eye patch for children, and an herbal soap for eczema.
  19. I think that's what I'm seeing. It feels like a very large percentage of people discovered that they feel super comfortable saying things to people on the internet that they would have never said to somebody in person. And now that we're about thirty years into it, a lot of people are just used to saying whatever they're thinking without consequence. George Carlin did a great bit about it a very long time ago. The key line was "The amount of an a-hole a person is, is directly proportional to the distance they are away from you at the time you discover this flaw." Meaning, you're willing to loudly call somebody on TV that name, but if they're right next to you on line at the store, you say it very quietly. These days, it feels like that's not as true as it used to be.
  20. The Lions have really good lines. If they can manage to stay healthy, they should be able to play a lot of solid games like that.
  21. Cheryl: "Ugh! I told you this was an awful plan!" Krieger: "No you didn't!" Which was just perfect Krieger and made me laugh out loud.
  22. You know... The Ryder Cup is one of my favorite things to watch in all of sports. It would be nice if the American team can do better than getting throttled 4-0 to start the event.
