  1. I'm sure others missed it too. I remember not thinking twice about it until I got to the end of the book and went, "Wait a min......what........OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHH! NO WAY!" It was such a cool revelation in the books.
  2. For the life of me I can't remember Duncan's betrayal in the books. I remember a betrayal, but I thought it was that other dude (that went after Ian) and his wife (that Ian killed protecting Jamie), not Duncan. For some reason the betrayal that people are referencing didn't stick with me. Regardless, I always thought Duncan was like Murtaugh to Jamie, so I'm happy to see he's filling that role. I'm shocked that I was sad about Frank's death. A very non-event for me in the books. They set out to make Frank more sympathetic and they did that. Well done! I'm also very impressed that they squeezed in so much in so little time. Yes, there were many things missing, but what they did cover was miraculous. I think a non-book reader would easily get the relationships and timeline from what they showed.
  3. "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth." - Sherlock Holmes Theory 1: A pregnant woman confronted several burglars, on her own, without calling the police. They subsequently kidnapped her, but first let her pee. They held her for several days then saw a news report about her disappearance and dumped her in the same bay that her husband was fishing in. Theory 2: A satanic cult is hunting down pregnant women, cutting out their babies and dumping their bodies in the bay. Theory 3: A cheating husband who previously made statements that his wife was dead killed her and dumped her in the bay. Although it's a high-level summary, that is about it, right?
  4. ^This. A thousand times, this. All of these whackadoodle theories do not discount the evidence against Scott. Again, my biggest complaint about this show is the intentional removal of facts that point to Scott's guilt. This isn't a fact-based unbiased documentary.
  5. I'll take back "all" as clearly some feel he's guilty. Those who are part of this show; however, are complete pieces of shit. Denial is one thing, lying to the public is another. I don't appreciate being conned. Give me facts and let me decide for myself. If he's truly innocent, the facts should stand on their own.
  6. This is from the link you posted: "The timeline largely was established by a next-door-neighbor who found the Petersons’ golden retriever wandering in the street, leash attached, before the alleged sightings of Laci and her dog. Also, the burglary victims left home after the dog was found. Those credible witnesses unravel Peterson’s claim of discovering new evidence, contends supervising deputy attorney general Donna Provenzano." Now I'm even more pissed off. Scott's family are all disgusting pieces of shit. This "documentary" isn't just leaving out important evidence in order to spin their story, they're flat out lying to us.
  7. I find it ironic that TJ is annoyed because Gabriel is a pain in the ass and frustrating to deal with, which is exactly what Gabriel is saying about whatshisassface. Swallow your pride, TJ. Suck it up and deal with it for the greater good. In other words, exactly the advice you gave Gabriel.
  8. Add to that the song "That's the way... I like it" was playing in the background as he looked at the little girl. Pretty disturbing clue.
  9. I think it's worth discussing. Also, relevant since Nancy Grace discussed the impact of circumstantial evidence. So, what do we know for sure so far? Support Guilty: He was at the marina the day she went missing The same marina is where she was found He was not happy in his marriage He was making cement when she went missing He did not appear to show grief (I really hate this one because everyone acts differently, but it is a factor) He had $10k on him when arrested and appeared to be running Support Innocence: He was on the computer in his garage the day she went missing (what does this prove exactly?) No one saw a body on the boat when he was in the marina Witnesses saw Laci the day she went missing No blood or evidence in the house
  10. I'm not sure if I'll answer all of your questions, but I recall reading the book and being worried that I'd skipped a book. It instantly jumps 20 years ahead to Bree, Roger and Claire with a lot of back and forth throughout. The history with Frank and raising Bree is woven within - similar to what is happening with the show - but very brief snippets. With the show, we're seeing a lot more background with Frank. More importantly, it's with a neutral view. In the books, we get the background only from Claire's perspective. At the risk of spoiling you, let's just say that Frank is not an entirely sympathetic character. Here, showing them together gives Frank much more of a personality, is actually damaging to Claire, and it explains a lot. The other show/book difference is we don't see Culloden. Jamie doesn't even remember it. We know it happened, but we never get details. As far as importance, the post-Jamie life is important to build Brianna's character and to signify just how long the separation really was. Edited to add - there's another really big reason to show the 20 years in between and what happened to them, but that's too much of a spoiler.
  11. Perhaps an unpopular opinion, but I don't want the reunion to be quick. It was torture reading the book and the realization that it was 20 long years! I think if they do a quick reunion it will lessen the impact of how long it really was. I want the reunion to have the emotional gut wrenching impact it did in the book, not a quick 1-2 episode separation.
  12. It cracked me up to see Rinder's old news interview where he denied Xenu. I didn't even recognize it was him at first! He seemed pretty believable in that interview too, so it's funny to see him make fun of his own lies.
  13. If anything, this series is making him look more guilty as it's revealing things I missed when it happened. Scott conveniently was making cement in his garage when his wife went missing and they're trying to convince me that it's not suspicious at all? But let's skip over that part quickly and focus on the prosecution missing that Martha Stewart was talking about meringue that morning! OoooOOOooooh... This is a joke, right?
  14. So, in that last episode made it look like their "good guy" helper was trying to guilt them into giving him money. Where are they living now? Shady dude (I don't care enough to remember their names) isn't still in Aruba, is he? If not, wouldn't US laws apply? He practically confessed. You'd think US law enforcement could get involved now.
  15. Even worse, that one dude commented on how hot she was. How is that relevant? The past recordings of her look like she was a pretty good reporter. The interviews now make her look like a vapid barbie doll.
  16. Hahaha! I know, right? Not only did they claim Jackie "accidentally" withdrew 10k, but she accidentally withdrew it and "accidentally" gave it to Scott to hold for her. What??? As if having an extra 10k lying around is a normal occurrence. And the golf thing. They made up a narrative that didn't exist. They had already established that Scott did not intend to play golf. He said no. He did not change his mind and was leisurely driving to the golf course. He was being chased and went to where his family was for protection. Granted, it does lead me to question why he didn't go south to the border if he was truly running away. But, come on now. He wasn't there to play golf, he'd already said no. The only thing they might have convinced me of is the reason for the dyed hair. I can buy that he wanted anonymity. I can also buy that he was trying to flee. I found the interviews intriguing. I'd forgotten how badly he was caught in lies. Laci knew about the affair and was ok with it? He told the police that very day? I don't know the purpose for this series, but if it's Scott's family doing it, they really aren't doing themselves any favors.
  17. Did they ever really explain why Kira was "special" (healing, able to feel emotions, etc.)?
  18. My problem with her behavior is the High Bitch mode switch only seems to get turned on in front of men who appear to be a threat. I'm rewatching episodes. When Yara and Theon met her she had the same arrogance and commanding presence, but a much softer tone. She listened rather than bitchily state demands. She was even grinning and flirting a bit. Had Yara been a man there's no way she would have reacted the same. She's been that way for a while now. I'm all about girl power and all that, but her different demeanor with Yara vs. Jon was glaring and it was gross. Our dragon queen has turned into a sexist. You invited Jon to visit you. He came. Turn the attitude down a few notches, lady.
  19. For a moment I thought, "Good on her for allowing another actress to get all up on that" before I realized what a big dummy I am.
  20. Felix's comment about Donnie had us scratching our heads. 'The weirdest people get one.' The only thing we could come up with was that Donnie was really excited to dance. But that doesn't make sense either.
  21. Sooo... Euron is getting the horn for Cersei, right? This will be interesting....
  22. I hear ya. I just hate the sad stories and seeing people fail. I'd rather laugh at some douchebag, who is convinced he's a ninja, fail on the first obstacle.
  23. One of the things that made the Japanese version hilarious is they'd have the most ridiculous people think they can do it and fail. I don't want the sob stories and watching them fail, that just makes me sad. I want to see an overconfident guy in a ridiculous outfit. Entertain me! Stop making me depressed!
  24. I couldn't even watch the end. I turned it off with about 20min left. Maybe I'll watch it. Maybe not. What I got from it was: Travis got shot in the neck and somehow mysteriously developed a large open stomach wound. Except he didn't get shot in the neck, he was shot from below....even though his intestines were hanging out and it looked like he was bitten. What the hell just happened?! The helicopter brother looked like he was shot when the first shot hit. His head snapped weird and he looked like he died. Except a moment later he was talking. What was that about?? Madison doesn't even care that Travis just survived a zombie pit, her Nick is back. No hug, no nothing. Yuck. Speaking of... in the first few seasons of TWD, people were offed by one single zombie. Travis can fight off a large hoard with only a metal pipe. Really? REALLY?! Nick likes to feel up his mom and his mom encourages it. I was waiting for a kiss. That was some weird chemistry. A random sociopath teenager from a ranch flew to the border and took command of a military base and his sister-in-law knows how to fly helicopters. What. The. Fuck? They killed the wrong parent. This show is so bad. It isn't even a good bad.
