It was nice having Julia back on Jeopardy last night. I'm trying to figure out if I got Wellington on my own or just remembered the answer from the original showing.

Benedict Cumberbatch: Not Your Father's Sherlock
M. Darcy replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sherlock [V]
It was quite a first week. An actor got sick during one of the performances and the understudy came in mid show, they had technical difficulties and now that. But that's previews. Which is why you don't review the show during previews. I'm surprised that they waited until this week to bring in devices to prevent filming. -
They are so underestimating her She keeps setting them up and they fall for it every single time. Oh, idiots in the Queen Vic. Don't they know by now that every time you are convinced someone is guilty, they aren't. The Roxie/Dean romance is bizarre. Does the show expect us to be on their side. Because, nope.

Yeah, its like they expect we are losers who never leave their houses and don't know how to behave in public. We are going to spend all this money and not sit quietly, listen and watch one of the greatest plays ever written. Grrr. Last night at the first preview, the fans were fine. It was the press that was the problem. A few papers actually published reviews of the play today....after one performance. Which if you don't know theatre, its just not done. Plus, one paper took pictures during the performance and published them. Again, not done - on both counts. If fans had done that, the papers today would be mocking us. Jerks. Which is why I'm not linking to any reviews. I will wait until the official opening. On a happier note, Benedict's parents and Sophie were at the first performance. Hee, I'm guessing the baby stayed home. -

Today's the day! First preview! And also Wanda's birthday. Another nice article about the fans - "Why Benedict Cumberbatch fans are the perfect audience for Hamlet" - http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2015-08-05/why-benedict-cumberbatch-fans-are-the-perfect-audience-for-hamlet -

Wow. Rachel was angry last night. And, she's right. Its Democracy that being cheated. I know it happens all the time and honestly, anything that hurts the Rs I'm not too sad about but what Fox is doing is just wrong. -

The media is acting like is so shocking. We've known about it since the beginning. Plus, I'm relieved. After 3 hours of Hamlet, the thought of waiting around in what would have been a madhouse would have been exhausting. But the media is trying to make us seem like crazed fans who won't know how to behave at the theatre. Here is a very nice article about the fans - http://www.nytimes.com/2015/07/30/theater/benedict-cumberbatch-a-hamlet-whos-one-hot-ticket-in-london.html?_r=0 -
FYI, starting August 16th, Masterpiece Theatre is going to be reshowing Season 2 and 3 of Sherlock. Here's the schedule - http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/masterpiece/schedule/ And, more important news! We're getting Funko figures! http://funko.com/search?type=product&q=sherlock

Though, I've decided Les and Claudette are the bad guys. They are cheating! Plus, I hate Claudette. She is such a bitch to Paul and also...its Denise's daughter. Let Denise cook her own meal. I'm pissed at Jane also. She and Ian are letting an innocent man sit in jail. If they are so obsessed with protecting Bobby, just confess to the crime. We got to save Max! He is trying to save us money on our insurance. Easterners tweeted about this upcoming storyline and all I have to say is No, no, no, no, no. I'm sure it can help people but just no.

Hee, that was a new one. I hope Rachel knows how much we enjoy the lead in to Lock Up. -
Me! Its one of the few things I remember from science class. It is amazing how bad I am at FJ questions when watching repeats of tournaments. I obviously know the answer because I heard it the first time but I always forget it on the repeat.

I kind of feel we should all start signing each other's yearbooks. "you are so sweet, have a good summer - see you in the fall!"

She was so disgusted at the thought that she had to actually explain that it is not legal to rape your wife. I'd say its going to be a long year and a half but it never ends. As soon as the next President is elected, the next election will begin. -

Heh, yeah, that's our Keith. Weird timing though - he leaves EPSN just as all this talk of change at MSNBC. Though, there's always talk of revamping MSNBC. -

Chris tweeted this the other day so good news on that front re: ratings. Also, who would get better ratings anyway. Keith? I love Keith and all but even though he's available again, I really don't see him returning to the 8 pm position, -
Is Jay leaving? I know Lola is. Heh, Billy looking sadly at the empty flat....umm, Billy. You do have another child living there. I wonder if Max will go to jail which would explain where he is for a year. Or does that make too much sense :-) What happened with Cora? She showed up a few times running in and out looking homeless and then nothing.

If I remember correctly, the guy in charge of the hospital (I'm sure he has a name but I think of him as Moseby), wanted to send a soldier home because he wasn't either medically or mentally able to return to the front but the nurse decided to ignore him and sent the soldier back to the front....and he ended up back in the hospital in bad shape. Instead of being smart and destroying the ticket home, she hid it in the figurine.

He made him figure out the math of the improbability percentage that during a war, an English nurse winds up in the same small town in France as her German fiancée. I guess to be fair considering they were probably both near a battle site it makes some sense. And, the improbability that every nurse and doctor with a dramatic past wound up in one field hospital in France. I know, you need drama but it would have been nice if one nurse had just been there because she wanted to do the right thing and help. I guess even in past dramas, nurses were there for a reason such as losing a loved one, having loved ones in the War (Testament of Youth), atoning for lying and sending your sister's boyfriend to jail (Atonement), whatever reason Georgina was a nurse (Upstairs Downstairs)...but just not so much personal angst might have been better. Of course, most of the time I couldn't tell the difference between the nurses so maybe there was one that was just there to help.

That whole who will get the job was stupid - Lola had to get the job. Phil gave Dean her salary already. I hope Phil asks for the money back. I wonder if that was her last episode.
