  1. We are so bad! But I have to get my snark somewhere.
  2. I had to mute the Poirot clue because I knew Alex was going to get all Frenchified. "Yes, Er-cule POIROOOO." It's sad that it's a given that will be mentioned here LOL
  3. Thomas Edison invented the telephone, leading to the founding of AT&T, and Rockefeller's company was called Monopoly?? I get the second answer, but it's a tortuous route.
  4. I had no clue as to FJ! Anything mythology related is one of nightmare categories. Why are tickets to the African American History Museum hard to come by?
  5. I blanked on FJ and answered Hello, Dolly!
  6. So do tell Alex, what is the correct pronunciation of septuagenarian. And how could nobody know "For Whom the Bell Tolls?" I can't believe that was a $2,000 clue.
  7. I said Ogilvie, which for someone who has no interest in American history, is a pretty good guess. I am from Illinois and Ogilvie was a former governor. I think.
  8. She answered Schultz, and that is wrong pronunciation
  9. It's not SchulTz, it's Schulz. Lisa should have been dinged for that. And she looks like Amy Farrah Fowler from BBT.
  10. I confess I had no idea about FJ.
  11. I confess I had no idea about FJ.
  12. Loren sounds like Peewee Herman. How on earth does he have a podcast? I fear he will be around for several days if Wednesday's challengers are the best the producers could find.
  13. I had to turn off the game before FJ! because Loren made me crazy. What was the question?
  14. I would watch "The Mycroft Show." I really like his character and if (God forbid) there is another series, I hope one episode explores his character. I think I'm over my disappointment of this episode. It's only teevee after all, but still like to read other's postings. Moriarty will never not make my skin crawl.
  15. I like John. He can stay around. Do the Jeopardy! writers know any other playwright besides Shakespeare????? I flubbed FJ! but ran composers and one other category that I don't remember. Yes, fugue=Bach.
  16. I knew Cook County because I grew up in Chicago. I also knew the other questions in the category. Just more random cr@p in my brain.
  17. One of the few things I liked about the episode was Mycroft smoking in his private screening room. He does have his weakness..... and I wonder what movie he was watching (if it were a real movie). He has watched it several times because he was mouthing the dialogue.
  18. I fast forwarded thru various scenes so may have missed exactly why Mycroft allowed a 5 minute visit between Eurus and Moriarty? She must have super special powers to mind bend Jim that quickly. The only part I liked was the last few minutes. This would have been a much better show if Gattis alone had written it.
  19. I made macarons once, and they turned out wonderfully (according to those who ate them). I didn't find them difficult to make, but you do need time to let them dry. Therefore I was a bit puzzled when Johnny and Mary kept saying that the macarons were the most difficult thing made. I couldn't make a pot au creme to save my life.....
  20. I said stigmata for FJ! Also said Maori and as soon as I said I went newp, that's Enzed. And count me in thinking chin up was the same as pull up.
  21. That was totally misleading to me. I thought the category was healthy foods that started with L. Lentils, etc.
  22. I have lost interest in this show, and have watched only 1 or 2 episodes this season. The Shinwell story is not necessary and it's clear he's to replace Alfredo (not that anyone can replace Alfredo). And I won't watch any show that features people being held hostage. The cases involving technology/math, etc. are much more interesting.
  23. Curly: Moe, Larry, cheese. No, limburger. My knowledge of limburger comes from the Three Stooges. I certainly couldn't tell liverwurst from the picture. It looked like a tan blob. And when are limburger and liverwurst considered "L" thy foods?
  24. Obscure Shakespeare is ALWAYS Troillus and Cressida. Do these players not watch Jeopardy!? And not knowing Schindler??? Alex must have been in heaven being able to say Alain so often. Very annoying contestant.
  25. I bet it all as soon as the FJ! category was revealed. I would have doubled my money. I know my Beatles. "Yellow Submarine" is a wonderful 3 beat song so can be sung while cantering your horse to get the rhythm.
