Nevermind Season 1, we seriously just had a major accident for one of the female leads THIS season. Laziest writing ever.

The plot and timelines here seem even more unbelievable than usual. First of all, I thought Jasper quit after he broke up with Eleanor and disappeared, but apparently he just took some time off and now wants to wander back to work? Pretty sure if you date your employer and then dump her unceremoniously, it's time for a new job no matter what you did or didn't steal. Secondly, the whole country knows that the Privy Council is meeting to determine if Robert should take over - if you're sitting on some giant scandal that would impact their decision, don't you maybe want to have that conversation with Liam before the bells start chiming?

Isn't a privy an outhouse? ?

So bored. Wake me up when something happens! It feels like this whole season is just going around in circles, without any forward momentum. The constant waffling and inability to just have a normal, human, straightforward conversation are ruining some of these characters for me. I'm sure Jasper and Eleanor will eventually get back together but his lack of communication (especially that stereotypical male thing of suddenly acting like a cold asshole instead of using his words to just explain he's being blackmailed about things she already knows) is not endearing me to him, and they better make him jump through multiple goddamn hoops to win her back or I'll be annoyed with her spinelessness. Meanwhile Blondie De Jour who won't break up with Robert despite not really wanting to be with him is also getting old. Is a 'look, sorry but we thought you were dead' conversation really that hard? The longer this plot drags on, the stupider it becomes.

As soon as Jodie got the good scores, I knew she was a goner. The judges and their pity paddles are so predictable.

This sounds awful. Kesha and Derek Hough almost sound like high notes, and that's ridiculous. I can't believe Rayna is still going there. What will it take for her to stop being such a damn doormat for her hell-spawn daughter to trample all over? Stop trying to 'help'. Let. Her. Sink. I seriously want Rayna to grow a spine and say 'good luck and hope it was worth destroying your family - you're dead to me.' And can't Will catch a damn break for just one week?

Ugh this show! Why am I even watching this depressing crap? Maddie should just be cut loose and left to sink on her own. Sometimes you try your best and your kids grow up to be hell spawn anyway. Honestly, the phrase 'this is not how you were raised' needs to pass Rayna's lips or else I'll throw something at the TV. Cut her loose and don't look back. Good riddance. Avery deserves the mess he's making with psycho Layla. Good luck with that terrible judgement. I predict you'll find her less charming when she starts boiling bunnies in the kitchen. Speaking of terrible judgement - Deacon, you're a complete idiot. I still have no absolutely idea what Frankie's underlying issue is. Just jealousy? That's stupid. And poor Will doesn't deserve any of this homophobic horseshit. When do the new writers start? Can it be now, please?

Seriously, WHAT are they repeating a billion times in the Marshall's commercial? "All in?" "All out?" "I'm in?" Does it still count as an earworm if the words are unintelligible?

I think we're supposed to believe that Layla actually has feelings for Avery, though in that case shouldn't she see what terrible timing it is to get involved with him? I guess with her impulsivity and low self-esteem, she's happy just being his meaningless rebound fling. I wish Juliette would just eviscerate her already and get it over with. As for Maddy, I just can't with the plot holes. Isn't she under contact with Highway 65? Does that get nullified as part of the emancipation? If not, how is she planning to sign with another label? Does she even have any active other offers, or she's just emancipating herself for the liberty of playing at skanky bars without her father's disapproval? I fail to see how she's going to argue that her parents are thwarting her career when she's playing the Opry because of them. Idiocy, all of it.

Barf. I hate this theme.

Who exactly is Cash again? (Other than an obvious clunky replacement for Juliette in those scenes with Maddie)

Good grief, the redundancy. I will be thrilled when this show is over and I never have to read the phrase "Pamuk letter" ever again. As for which of the sisters is more mature (if this argument seriously needs to be made), the fact that Edith showed up for the wedding and made nice with her sister speaks volumes. If I were Lady Edith, I would have come back from London specifically to ensure that Henry knew about not only Pamuk but also Sex Week with Lord Boringham, since by Mary's own stated rules, fiancés should be allowed to hear everything and make an informed decision before saying "I do".

OMG, so true. I'm never going to be able to un-see this.

The point of the medical crisis will be to force Violet to change her opinion about the hospital system, though. Thus the victim has to be someone whose health she cares about. Robert, Mary, even Violet herself would fit the bill, but I doubt a serious illness (or even death) involving Anna or any of the other servants would elicit more than a half-hearted "that's a shame" from Violet.

Did Khloe seriously ask if her genetic profile was going to change as she gets older? How can anyone be that stupid? Maybe that high school graduation a few weeks ago was premature...

I dunno - it seems believable to me. Cyrus has gotten involved with two maids and both have nearly become the Queen of England as a result, and I'm not sure how public the details of Violet's untimely end are yet. Since he obviously has a 'type', it doesn't surprise me that people are coming out of the woodwork with self-serving intentions. Hell, if I worked in that castle I'd probably stuff my cellulite in some hot pants and have a go at it too - odds seem pretty good in my favor. :)

That's the thing - I don't think he was watching live footage, but rather the tapes from the night of the murder (granted, they did a poor job of explaining that). We know he's working with Liam to solve the murder, and the look of gritty, nearly psychotic determination on his face showed that he's realized finding the real killer is the one thing that may win back Eleanor. Can't remember if this scene happened before or after the Queen's pep talk - if it was after then I'm doubly convinced that's what was going on.

I think the guy on the security camera was the one who confessed to killing the king last week. I assumed that was footage from the night/time of the murder and Jasper just realized the alleged murderer couldn't have been in two places at once - that's why he was asking how long it takes to get back inside.

I actually enjoyed the reveals (or maybe just the fact that the plot is finally moving forward), but man are there some giant Mack-truck-sized holes in this plot. -Domino's brother sure waited a looooong time for his revenge. Why now, like 25 years after the actual events? -Why does the head of security have to have all this explained to him? If Domino's family has been trying to investigate this through legal channels, shouldn't he (as the freaking head of security) at least have some rudimentary knowledge of the accusations? And seriously the crown controls the media so strongly that none of this leaked out in the press? 'Queen accused of killing teenaged heiress society rival' sounds like a muckraker's wet dream - in the real world whole cable TV news channels would be devoted to dissecting this case! -Why would Domino's brother be happy that the love of his sister's life was killed? As far as I can tell, everyone thinks the king was not involved and heartbroken over her death. -It seems ridiculously out of character that Helena said a few weeks ago 'well, we killed theirs so now they're killing ours' with a shrug and went on about her day. The implication here is that Liam and Eleanor are in mortal danger, right? From everything that we've seen of Queen Helena, she'd have this guy hanging in the Tower of London by now.

I think they boxed themselves in by killing off Simon. I wish they would have left him comatose but not dead, with the possibility for a miraculous, soapy full recovery at any time. The slow reveal of the secret organization doesn't bother me as long as we continue to make some progress (like learning this week that the queen and Joan Collins know the perpetrators). But enough with Liam staring blankly at the symbol on the coin/medallion!

Unpopular opinion 1: I thought Nick absolutely sucked tonight. Obviously the 'pander to our heartstrings' first dance (or whatever the hell the actual category title was) had problems, but the trio was also, just, completely boring. A typical Zumba class has more complicated choreography. I kept waiting for something to happen and it never did. Unpopular opinion 2: I'm concerned Sharna is in over her head. If this is the best choreography we can get out of her, they may as well have been eliminated before the finals. Pitting the finals as an epic Nick vs Bindi showdown seems almost laughable. At this point even Carlos seems orders of magnitude more evolved as a dancer.

Not to detract from either the Yogurt Bitch or her cousin, the Yogurt Loudmouth ("PULL THAT PEACH!"), but WHAT is with the man in the other Yoplait commercial? The one who talks directly to the cow about her delicious milk and then takes off running without warning? Are we supposed to infer that he's been hitting a recreational substance stronger than yogurt? Or is intended to be a PSA for men - leave the yogurt for the ladies, gentlemen, lest you wind up like poor Bob here, acting like a crazed leprechaun hopped up on hallucinogens?
