I've been meaning to ask this, but from what point in S4 is this DD? I mean, he was dead in the end. And Laurel is still dead in LOT, so what, he's from that narrow window between offing Laurel and Oliver killing him?

Someone drew a parallel on Tumblr. I honestly don't care enough about the storyline to have caught it myself, but good job on the show's part. Also, that kid has aged five years over the course of two, so I'm counting on William going to college on the East coast next season. Also, also, now that my rage over that storyline has mellowed, the swipe and Oliver's reaction in the las gif are pretty cute if you don't know the background. Never noticed it before.

The trailer looks great. And you weren't kidding about the cast. Tony Shaloub, Alex Borstein, Marin Hinkle... I don't think I've seen the lead actress before, but she seems terrific from the trailer.

I acctually liked the episode fine. My biggest complaint is that the characters were mostly stuck in the same pairings the whole time. I think the directing influenced this a lot, the scenes transitioned logically in a way that didn't feel abrupt, there were some truly excellent shots - like Lance and Rene with Watson, I really liked that one - and the transitions between the different fighters when they were rescuing the Markovians really added energy to a process we've seen a thousand times over. The scene with Rene and Lance with Watson was one of my favorites, and I think this is the best I've liked Rene since he showed up. The guys were just so uncomfortable and Lance's reactions to Rene's foot in the mouth disease were precious. Plus, I really like both the actress and the character of Watson so far. Kind of feels like they're doing Susan Williams again, only right. Sounded like a cold to me. Cute. I also didn't mind either William or the actor that much. He's no master thespian, but he had some nice moments like the one above. What the ef, dude? Hee. And I have to admit, I laughed out loud at Oliver's advice. And I'm a teacher.

Cool. I have to say, it seems to me they have a nice handle on introducing or re-introducing the villains this year. Anatoly in 602, ME in 603, KA in 604. And then Vigilante in, what, 606?

Oh, I do mean us, not disparaging unspoiled people at all. I even forgot that ME appears in the next episode for the first time until @way2interested brought it up. Speaking of, which is Kirk Acevedo's first episode?

I think I'm going to like Laura Belsey's directing. There are good shots in the city hall. I love that Anatoly decided to come after Oliver during the day. 1. I can see stuff happening. 2. Smart thinking into pulling this at a time when GA doesn't usually appear, and the team is probably being extra careful at the moment. I don't get how they writing whatever William's issue is from the preview. You're not here to help me. You're the Green Arrow. I don't get what one has to do with the other.
