  1. It took me a bit to realize that you were talking about their first vidit to the Queen because I was here thinking, but this is the dress she wore to meet with the Queen. During the engagement, to discuss the wedding.
  2. They're been putting these out periodically since the premiere. Here's the compilation someone's put together.
  3. Hello! Who's got two thumbs and is rather famously besotted with his wife?
  4. Great compilation of Edwina "not asking for any of this". I find it hilarious. With time and everything settling down, I can pretty much accept most of Edwina's reactions, even the half-sister comment. She was hurt and lashing out. She's also 18 or something in the vicinity and we're led to believe she's as sheltered as the Bridgerton girls more or less. It all would have gone down much easier if they made just one small addition. Have Edwina react to Anthony's thorn in the side comment in any visible way. I feel like so much would have been salvaged with just that. It would get across that while pissed at Kate, she was still her sister. Edwina can slag her off, but not anyone else. Also, someone should have pointed out to Edwina that she did in fact ask for it. Lady Danburry would have been a good candidate for it.
  5. It's not post-Jack, Portia will "find" a document passing the title and the estates to the firstborn grandson of the former baron, her husband. It cuts Jack out entirely, he'll be an interloper in every regard, stealing money from the members of the ton, Portia included, she made sure there's a record of jer giving him money to invest, and usurping the title that shouldn't have been his. I suppose we're to assume that she and Varley covered all bases. Penelope definitely gets her ability to fool people from her mother. They're actually really similar, both of them are belittled by the ton, but they're both hustlers. It makes me wonder whether the show will address that.
  6. Bringing this back to how Anthony and Kate looked like Edwina's parents at times, I just ran across this from episode 2.
  7. It's been a while now and I haven't rewatched these scenes, but didn't the Featherington maid forge some documents stating that the heir to the barony would be the firstborn son of any of the three girls? Did I conjure this up?
  8. I want to set up Dorset with somebody, does anyone have a candidate? Look at him all good natured and that was a bracing dunk behind Anthony Raging Bull-ing in the foreground.
  9. There was a shot, I think when Anthony brought Nectar, where Edwina is standing between Kate and Anthony and they look lile parents squabbling over their kid. Uncomfortable is just the word for it.
  10. Hey now, he proved it in episode 7 when he went down on Kate and then woke up with a shit eating grin next morning. That's a gentleman in my book.
  11. Pride and Prejudice.
  12. I have to add the final piece from the season. It's just so wonderful, sunshine and promise in the form of lyrics. Just perfect for the scene.
  13. 'Bridgerton' star Jonathan Bailey wowed everyone on set with how smoothly he could take his shirt off, intimacy coordinator says In the spirit of it being Easter and this being a clear example of people doing the Lord's work, this footage should obviously be released today.
  14. I hate you feckers who get to watch new episodes.
  15. Add Anthony telling her he'd often be away from his wife and children when they talked at Aubrey Hall. He was a dolt for pursuing the courtship as far as he did, but I really don't remember him leading Edwina on about his emotional involvement. He was very nice and agreeable but didn't indicate that he had deeper feelings for her. In fact, I think the first time she had cause to suspect he did was him defending her family in front of the Sheffields. Of course the audience can tell it was the attack against Kate that provoked him, but I can understand that Edwina would see it as her fiance's devotion to her.
  16. John Paul. Which is so perfectly Irish you can't help laughing as soon as you hear it.
  17. On a scale of 1 to Newton, how cute is this? https://www.instagram.com/reel/CcTlr8uLbUt/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
  18. She was probably too young to Pick that up before leaving England.* 😁 *I'm assuming she did spend at least some time in her childhood there. Mary must have met her father in England since it was a big to do with her being the Queen's diamond. And considering how much all three Sharma women obviously love the late Mr Sharma, I refuse to believe he'd have left his small motherless daughter on another continent for literal years.
  19. I'm doing it on my phone. First click the GIF to enlarge it, then hold your finger on the GIF for a few seconds. There should appear a pop up of sorts with different options, one of them being 'open image in new tab'. Click that and copy the link of that tab and paste it into your message here.
  20. Isn't the hero from Daisy's book also a self made man from New York? :) Personally, I found Daisy's book kind of dull and Harry from Poppy's book too overbearing. On the plus side, I finished both of them, something that cannot be Said of the first two Wallflower books. Just paste the image link into your post. The forum does the rest.
  21. There was nothing stopping people from doing it outside the social season, the numbers just worked for the benefit of those pursuing marriage during the season since there was a greater number of eligible people in the same place. Off season, a lot of them would be spread out on their estates outside of London. My question is, is there a limit to the number of dowagers of the same title? Like if the dudes who inherited a title kept dying and their widows still alive and kicking, could there, theoretically speaking, be six dowager countess Soggybottom?
  22. It's not even the not marrying part for me, I actually felt that to be building on Violet honestly trying to find someone who shared Eloise's interests, true or made up. Mary was even willing to go further than that and support Kate in her expressed wish not to marry. What bothers me is everyone being okay with Kate moving to India. It took six months to travel just in one direction. Realistically, how many times did these women who were family and loved one another expect to see each other for the rest of their lives? Two, three tops? And it's not like they didn't know. They'd all just made the journey!
  23. Among the many crazy moments in this episode is this. What is this disturbance in the Force? An unauthorised male in the vicinity of Miss Sharma!
  24. Followed by, 'Now give me dirt.' Paraphrased. Really, I wouldn't be very surprised to have the Queen hunting down Whistledown next season to make sure she doesn't stop publishing.
