You took the words right out of my fingertips. 13.

I don't remember them saying Felicity was dead.
-
I have not yet seen a reasonable explanation for it. Sadly, it seems the producers either weren't asked or didn't answer at the Q&A panel after the screening.

‘Arrow’ EPs and Stars on That Shocking Grave Reveal and Whether Dead Means Dead by Christina Radish http://collider.com/arrow-grave-reveal-death-interview/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=collidersocial It's a long interview with MG, WM, KC and PB.

I did not expect a search for another Lazarus pit. I hope they check if Constantine is out of Hell before they go hunting it down. The second interview is a little confusing to me. First I felt justified in thinking she's the one who dons the BC costume. But what is this of something no other show has done. Obviously it's hyperbole either way, but this show already did the picking up dead hero's mask thing.

Is this something he shared in the aftermath of this episode or a while ago?

Laura Hurley's reaction to 4x18 Arrow Finally Revealed Who's In The Grave

To give credit where it's due, KC keeps it classy on Twitter. There's EK, and short tweets from SA and CL that could be connected to Laurel, but are also possibly not.

Well I mean, he had it on him when he got back to Starling in 2012. I assumed he had it the entire time. Or maybe he stashed in the cave where he hid Poppy and retrieved it once he got back on the island? ETA: I'm pissed at Dig and appalled at Lyla for not only having Andy over in their home on an apparently permanent basis, but also giving him access to weapons. Shame on both of them.
-
There's also the feeling of Oliver being freaked out by it and encouraging her to drop the mask so that she wouldn't be around the lair so much. Which is a really unkind thought to think about a character who was just killed, but I can't deny it. That last conversation really screwed things up.
-
You reminded me of something I was wondering about during thee episode. Did Oliver give her the photo back on screen? I feel like I need the history of the photo now.
-
Dig and Oliver were heartbreaking, but in that good way where I care about them and their relationship, and can see where the characters are coming from. Hell yes to Thea renouncing Malcolm. You know, it's really sad that BC never even had a nemesis. Laurel was only targeted for her job in the first season, but never has there been a BC villain. Dig has/had Deadshot and HIVE, and now Andy, Thea got Anarky and now, hopefully, Malcolm. Felicity had the Clock King, the Calculator and Brie. BC is the only Team Arrow member without one. E2 is frankly the only scenario where I wouldn't mind Felicity in a mask.

I was thinking about the limo scene yesterday. The last two episodes left Oliver and Felicity in cordial place. So I really don't think there will be any animosity there. There will be rage (directed at Darhk, Malcolm, Andy) and, I suspect, Felicity not being comfortable enough to be vulnerable with Oliver anymore.

I don't even know if they would get arrested. I mean, the Green Arrow was hanging around a crime set with Lance while police officers were going about their stuff around them two episodes ago. Supposedly, they're also not killing anyone. Of ccourse, it should be an obvious concern, but I don't really get where the show is going with their public status at the moment. I can frankly say that I wouldn't mind this in the slightest. I probably would if I thought there was a minor chance that Laurel would come back to the show, but I don't. So if it turned out that she's just shipped off to WITSEC somewhere, fine by me. I never actually needed Laurel dead, just gone from the show, until they did the flash forward and I certainly wasn't fine with losing anyone else on the team. I should also point out that I don't think this will be happening. Lance, you poor bastard.
-
While I have never wanted Felicity to don a mask, I would not be opposed to someone else picking up the BC mask. I didn't mind it when AU Diggle Jr. did it with the GA mask over on LoT, I wouldn't mind it here. It shows that what she did has left an impact and prompted someone else to keep on the fight. Speaking about secret identities, what the hell was wrong with that medical personnel the doctor called in? The Black Canary was lying there and not one of them blinked. In retrospect, I'm also wondering why they took her to the hospital. I know it was bad (obviously), but they've dealt with Oliver's multiple life threatening injuries in the lair. Also, where were Dig and Thea when Oliver brought her in, did they run off to change clothes? If it's true, she's not really impressive. Though it would be a nice eff you from DD to Ra's, taking his own daughter away.
-
Whoa. Will they bring her back just to kill her again? Laurel, the Kenny of Star Ctiy.
-
It also paints the Laurel of the last few episodes in harsher light than I like or need. This mind boggling confession is suddenly casting a shade over her being a supportive friend to Oliver, making it look like she was trying to get an in with him after Felicity left. And I don't know that anyone needed or wanted that.
-
Oh, God. Yes, please. The pink raincoat of doom is much cuter and would have pulled that outfit together.
-
What was up in KC acting in the prison scene in which Darhk apparently froze everyone on Team Arrow. Except for Laurel. What was with that? Was she not frozen or did KC just drop the ball?
-
I honestly don't know if and when they kissed at other time(s) in S1. But it doesn't look familiar now that I've seen the extended promo. Since it's Lance family flashback episode, maybe it's Laurel imagining Ollie coming back from the dead? I'm grasping at straws here. I approve of Oliver apparently being the one left to hold the team and shit together. I also approve of Dig clocking Mrs Evil. Does it really help in fighting him? I mean, it hasn't helpd him fight Reiter. He was just used as a human GPS. I think.
-
So the reptilian smile thing, is it Ruve specific or just how the actress smiles? Because if it's option A, fine, that's an acting choice. If it's option B, then I feel mean for writing it down. It made Laurel into some sort of martyr like figure which does no one any favors. Also, stupid.
-
It didn't come off as derogatory to Felicity to me. After all, Oliver talked about Felicity's superpower this season and he's been vocal about there needing to be heroes in the light of day sine season 2 when he supported Blood. I honestly thought it was a shot from season 1. Are we sure it's not? Frankly, I also thought it was something that theyy threw in the promo, not something that would necessarily be a part of the episode. That girl who shows up at the funeral? I mean, I would love it if it were Sin, because I loved Sin and it would play nicely into her being a surrogate sister for Sara. I don't think there's any chance of that. Let me repeat myself.
-
You know, I actually took that as a good thing. Yes, Oliver is the man those five years forged. Accepting that meaning accepting who he is, not trying to fight against it. So my interpretation is that verbalizing and acknowledging that will actually bring Oliver to a more level, satisfied place.
-
Has anyone seen the actress playing Ruve anywhere else? She freaks me out when she smiles a little bit. Her upper lip curves up sort of weirdly. I don't know if that's how she normally does it or a character choice.

This was really Laurel's best episode and the death was handled well all in all. The twist of her being fine and then simply coding was an effective one, as was Lance coming just moments too late. This was the one reason why I was against it being Laurel, because Lance has now lost a daughter for the third time and he only had two of them. It's really too rough. That was a beautiful piece of music at the end there. Two scenes kind of cheapened the things for me though. 1) Laurel saying to Oliver in the lair that she wanted to be there with him... And the team. 2) Their final scene in the hospital. It just connects the Black Canary to Oliver and leaves the impression she was doing it for him. Which is not something I think they should have gone for. But kudos to Oliver for not feeling guilty in the flash forward, especially with Laurel professing her unexpicable love to him with her dying breath. I pretty much liked the rest of the episode all around. Lance giving BC the seal of approval, which means we won't live through season 3 with him going in revenge mode on Oliver. Andy being in cahoots with DD the entire time. Thank you, Jesus! Also, it gave us smart tactical Oliver who actually thought to or remembered to remove that rock thing from the idol. He was then also completely gracious with Dig and there for him at the hospital. Really, this was also the best Oliver episode in a while. Last, but certainly not least, the flashbacks weren't completely pointless for once this season. Killer Oliver, it was past time you showed up. There's also a light shining at the end of this tunnel - Russia. Now, I'm a bit bummed that it seems like my wish for Oliver to be the one to off Poppy won't be coming into fruition, but I'll let it go if it brings me Anatoly faster.
