  1. At the time, I so hoped that Dawson slut shamig Jen would lead to Joey getting pissed at him for it since she had problems with people labeling her and Bessie because of their dad, and her and Jen bonding. Alas. Then again, I also hoped that season 2 would open with Joey and Dawson pulling away from that kiss all, Um, so... Totally awkward, right? So awkward! Let's never speak of it again. You pick a movie and I'll go get pop corn. OTH is far from perfect. The acting in S1 was almost universally bad and Hilarie Burton and James Lafferty were the worst offenders IMO. Even worse than CMM who very rightly earned the nickname Sir Squint-a-lot. There was still something likeable about the show in those early seasons, though. I liked the adults, enjoyed Nathan and Haley's romance, thought the theme of brotherhood over two generations was dealt with fairly interestingly early on, and loved that there was never anything remotely romantic about Lucas and Haley.
  2. She saved the day in S1 as well, working with Lance disarming one of the bombs. I have no doubt she'll play a similar role this time around as well.
  3. I'm actually glad she isn't dead, because there was a scary few minutes where I thought I was getting too accurate with predictions about how this show kills off female characters. Do not want that. And I thought it was a pretty great twist. Also, MM's best performance by light years. I don't think I want anyone to kill her, really. She should, however, be locked up in an asylum. 1. Pretty damn badass. 2. I liked seeing Malcolm as well. I'm actually wondering whether they'll mostly use him in flashbacks for the rest of the season. That would work best, I think. Also, it could be neat to include a shot of him finalizing a stage in the Undertaking at the end of the flashbacks as Oliver leaves the island or has just come back. Preferably with Moira. It does? I didn't catch that. I though Chase just ("just", Jesus) burned off Oliver's skin. As someone upthread said. Impressive episode, never watching it again. Thank God for Anatoly and the levity he brought. Maybe you could let us in now?
  4. Ho. Ly. Crap. No wonder Oliver breaks after a week of this. He had trouble vocalizing the idea of Prometheus hurting Felicity last episode and now this? I actually applaud the writers for not pulling punches and am wide eyed at the prospect of what else Chase will serve him.
  5. She is really very likeable. Those are very fun answers that manage to paint a vivid picture. I just wish she got better at acting.
  6. Felicity ended last episode going to Helix to locate Oliver. No way she's not going to be in 517. How much is another story.
  7. I watched SA's interview with etalk.ca and he mentions there being no music when episode 518 cuts to opening credits, comparing it to 24 not using the ticking clock when really bad stuff happened. And he's predicting pain. They're not going to actually have Oliver seriously contemplating suicide, are they? That's the first thing that popped to my head after how 517 is supposed to end.
  8. She's his number 1 (and likely only) fangirl. So yeah, I think that's it as well. As for Oliver's confession, I'm also in the camp thinking it's the result of an almost a week of torture, and I think @tv echo articulated it best, that it's Chase feeding on Oliver's deepest fears. Probably even sooner if 519 is Team Arrow vs. Team Felicity. I'm banking on by the end of 518 for some significant forward movement on that front.
  9. I didn't see it as sad. Have to admit, I was putting off reading it because of this qualifier. :) My favorite part was Brava, @apinknightmare. In other news, Deceive, Inveigle, and Obfuscate has been updated. I can't believe there's only one chapter left. Particularly when I feel she slipped in a new thread. I'm fearing I won't get to experience the party Donna and Thea have been cooking up and that would feel like a loss in my book.
  10. I wouldn't have thought that Hemsworth's price almost doubled Evans'. No comment about it, really, it just surprised me.
  11. stephenamell We had the best time at Paley Fest. And big ups to Jayden Husfeld and her friend who asked for a photo in front of a few thousand people and then nearly passed out when I immediately brought them up on stage. It's the little things. https://www.instagram.com/p/BR3lVvEBjAt/?taken-by=stephenamell ž https://www.instagram.com/p/BRy2ayagWQE/?taken-by=davidpaulramsey
  12. That actually sound like really smart business. He's never done a con before and Felton has the Draco clout. If GG had been doinb cons steadily, I'd doubt whether he'd manage to put butts in chairs. This way, I can totally picture it. Fans have been waiting for a good while.
  13. I don't mind him having a solo panel, but it seems disproportionate compared to the six actors in the Arrow panel. That one seems a bit overcrowded, to be honest.
  14. I'm thinking Evelyn is there for Chase torturing Oliver. Not sure about any change of heart. I know MM worked with JH, but that could very well be a confrontation when they come for Oliver. Evelyn staying aligned with Chase drums in the 'everybody who gets close to me faces ruin' theme. Then, for added bonus, Chase could kill her in front of Oliver as well.
  15. Am I imagining things or has DR been giving this quote for a while, i.e. since Lyla became the head of ARGUS? I mean, as long as they don't implode them, good for him if the storyline he's been hoping for has finally come through.
  16. I imagine it was a one off as well. One that freaked Felicity out and pushed her towards SCPD's blandest. Regarding spoilers from Rotten Tomatoes linked in Spoilers Only, can you imagine how freaked out SC denizens will be with no attack on the city in the spring? I imagine them all hunkered down in underground bunkers over the summer waiting for as yet unseen shitstorm to rain down on them.
  17. That would be über cruel. My spec about them leading her towards a situation similar to Havenrock sounds like small potatoes in comparison.
  18. Edit: Sorry, the question I was answering had already been answered a few times.
  19. Not hearing from him doesn't necessarily exclude him. I don't remember any mentions of either Amandes or Noah before he appeared in the final stretch of episodes last year. That wasn't spoiled at all.
  20. Another thing that I find worrying is that hacking the drones doesn't feel unsurmountable for the group Helix has been presented as. It feels like they're grooming Felicity for something else that's much bigger and more sinister - maybe hacking the codes to nuclear missiles to use them for their own purposes or the purposes of their contractor if they're mercenaries - and that's a scary thought.
  21. They've been looking for her for a while. There was at least one occasion in previous episodes when Oliver mentioned that while Felicity is looking for the woman who trained both Prometheus and me, we're following another lead. They just hadn't mentioned her by name during the search. What was the episode that Prometheus did a crazy flip in the air? As far as I remember, that's how Oliver caught a clue about his training. As for the answer to your question, I imagine it's Pandora. But Oliver must have given her something to go off of once he realized she trained Prometheus.
  22. So, I happened upon And Then There Were None on HBO Go and considering there was talk about it here recently, I gave it a go. I remember having read the novel about 20 years ago, but had no recollection whatsoever of the plot. The series was really well done, but I'm wondering if I saw the shortened version, because I felt some crimes weren't as explained as the others. Namely, This version had two hour-and-a-half long episodes.
  23. Pssst. I didn't bring it up intentionally. Don't put it out there in the universe. Dawson's Creek for me. Long, long time ago.
