  1. No way. If he was fine with it, he wouldn’t have stayed in an ICE detention center for 7 months after serving his sentence if he was ok with it. No politics here, but we’ve all heard about the conditions in these ICE detention centers and they’re rough. Real rough, much worse than a minimum security federal prison. I think the conditions got to him and he couldn’t take it anymore, especially given that his family was encouraging him to go wait it out in Italy.
  2. No, Apollo was definitely narc’d on. In September 2013, a girl he was doing his illegal white collar stuff with went into the back to cash a fraudulent check or open a fraudulent account or something of that nature. She was arrested and they asked her who she was working for, she gave them Apollo’s name and became an informant on him, so they started tracking him and his dealings and that’s how they figured it out.
  3. I’m not surprised at all. Idk why, but I’m not. They were born in the early 70’s, 1972, according to wikipedia, which would mean they woulda been set to graduate in like, 1990, when the dropout rate was considerably higher than it is now. Things were a little different back then and dropping out, in that generation, wasn’t uncommon. So long as he had a side hustle or job working for his family, etc. dropping out wouldn’t have been that big of a deal back then. Joe came here as an infant. So he picked up the language naturally, the way we all did if born here. IDK, I personally feel bad for them. Yes, Joe committed a crime, but it wasn’t a violent crime. I think, if he were allowed to stay here on the condition that he start earning money legally and became a productive citizen, he’d do it without any problems.
  4. I think Teresa is over it. I think Joe wants her & his family back, but it too proud to really act like he cares, even though he clearly does, you can tell by what he says about wanting to move to another nearby country have them fly around “a few times a week” and make it work. Yeah, like it’s that easy, Joe! LOL.
  5. Exactly. I think she just doesn’t wanna admit that she’s not into a guy whose voluntarily done a lot for her. She wants out, but feels sorta guilty, so she is trying to convince herself and let others believe he’s a scum bag so she can justify ending it with him. But the truth is (IMO), she’s just creeped out by him. Something about him weirds her out. She is so completely unattracted to him, she can’t even attempt to fake it. From her body language, it’s clear that something about him makes her VERY uncomfortable - she’s always slightly leaning away from him and she always laughs uncomfortably around him when he says anything sexual or attempts to make any future plans involving the 2 of them. She just can’t get far enough away from him fast enough. She can’t help how she feels. But I think she ought to just be honest and tell him.
  6. yep! on marriage boot camp, it was mentioned that tonya (amber's mother) used to talk like that to amber's father, so it's what she grew up around, it's a learned behavior. Matt told Without A Crystal Ball the same thing, that this is how Amber grew up, it's a learned behavior. You're right, I guess she has "normalized it" because it WAS normal in her family and how she grew up, so it's all she's ever known. and her mother did it in front of her and that's how amber learned it. just like amber has no problem doing it in front of her kids.
  7. We get it, Shawn, you think Andrew used and betrayed her. Maybe he did. Maybe Matt used her, too. But you know what? Amber makes it so that these guys have no income (Matt and Andrew both said she made them give her their paycheck and justified it by saying they wouldn’t have a job or that money if it weren’t for her) and nowhere to go if they leave, they’ll basically have to start over and she always threatens to ruin them and their reputation, so the money and the fear of her ruining them and them having to completely start over is what makes them stay. Andrew was smart, he realized you gotta be sneaky and crafty about leaving her, so he recorded her several times over the last year and held onto the recordings, then called the cops on her one night when it really got out of hand and then got a TPO and custody battle, so he’s covered his bases and found a way out without her ruining him and his reputation. Is he a user? Probably. But Amber makes it so that these guys depend on her for everything and so, even if they want out, they feel trapped into staying because they depend on her and/or fear her ruining their reputation. Amber sets herself up for this kind of using and betrayal. We all thought Matt was this super manipulative guy, but Andrew has proven himself to be far more cunning and calculating and sorry, but I think Amber brought this shit on herself. I hope she learns something from what has happened with Andrew. (But she probably won’t). Everything you do in the dark can come to light.
  8. I don’t quite understand MTV’s standards. Farrah gets fired for doing porn (even though porn is a perfectly legal job and doesn’t hurt or affect anyone other than Farrah), David gets fired for tweeting his offensive opinions about the LGBT community, Jenelle then gets fired for sticking by her man after claiming he killed the dog (which is her decision), but Amber gets to threaten and hit her men MULTIPLE TIMES ON LEAKED AUDIO AND ON VIDEO and she gets to keep her job?? I can totally see why both Jenelle and Farrah would be pissed off. It’s a complete double standard and a completely unfair one, IMO. If they want to keep Amber, then they should let Farrah and Jenelle come back, too, because what they’ve done is far less disturbing than what Amber’s done. I stopped watching the show a couple years ago because I don’t agree with the double standards they seem to have with the cast members. It turned me off.
  9. Yea it’s weird, she acts all thug-like and comes at her men hard when she’s angry. I’ve never seen anything quite like it. I’ve seen and known people who are verbally abusive and/or treat their significant other like shit, I’ve seen people who are toxic and emotionally abusive and screaming in their significant other’s face, but I’ve never seen anyone who consistently acts as threatening and name-calling as she does when she’s angry with her man. Amber is as bad as it gets. Matt Baier gave an interview with the same lady who leaked all the audio and he said she used to be the same way with him. What I don’t get is how they keep saying that she’s image-conscious and behaves nicely in front of the camera. That’s not what I’ve seen. I haven’t watched the episodes with Andrew in them yet, but I remember watching her scream and get in Matt’s face a lot at the end. We also saw how she got kinda crazy with Farrah (though not nearly as crazy as she gets with her men, another poster was right, she doesn’t get in women’s face quite the same way). If she were a man, I believe she’d be scary as fuck.
  10. No, I didn’t see that. But it seems to me that Amber keeps repeating the same pattern with every guy she’s with. And on marriage boot camp, I’m losing even more respect for her, bc she clearly thinks she’s never wrong. All of her craziness is always somebody else’s fault. Everything sets her off and it’s everyone else’s fault. So, if she thinks she’s never wrong, she’ll never change bc she’ll never try to work on her behavior. It also seems like she can’t be alone. Apparently, she met Andrew on Marriage Boot Camp, so I guess he was one of the producers or worked on the tech crew somehow? Idk. All’s I know is she moved on awfully fast once met left marriage boot camp early.
  11. I’m watching amber and Matt on marriage boot camp (old episodes, I know, but i hasn’t seen it until now) and I can’t with Amber. She acts like Matt is the only guy she’s ever gotten crazy with, like we all didn’t see her punch Gary and verbally abuse him on national TV. Matt may very well be a con man and a user and apparently, he’s hit Amber before (which he should never do, there’s no excuse for that), but she is no saint, either and that’s how she’s acting. Gary is not a con man and not a woman abuser and she did the same shit to him! IDK anything about the next guy she was/is with (are they still together?) bc I haven’t seen the recent episodes, but I heard she hit him, too! But she acts like she’s never wrong and always the victim.
  12. IDK. I don't think Luis had a problem with Molly's weight, though. Molly was overweight, but she was no Nicole, if you know what I mean. Like, I'd say Molly fell into the very-chubby-borderline-fat category, but not morbidly obese or anything. I think Luis found her attractive. I definitely don't think Molly's weight was the deal-breaker for him (the way I think Nicole's weight is a deal-breaker for Azan). I think the deal-breaker for Luis was Molly's kids. I also don't think Luis realized how boring it would be with Molly being at work all day. I think Luis kinda expected life with Molly to be like it was when she was on vacation in the DR - fun, care-free, partying every night, no work, no responsibilities, no kids to baby-sit or live with...quite different than life when he came to live with her in Woodstock, GA.
  13. I feel like Aika is just a prop to Josh. He likes the idea of her more than the reality. I don't like the way he invalidates her feelings and constantly tries to talk her out of it by telling her not to "obsess" over it or not to feel a certain way. He tells her the ring thing is "not a big deal," but guess what, Josh? You don't dictate what's a big deal to HER! I see exactly why he pisses her off - he will tell her one thing to get her to come to America and do what he wants, then the reality is another.
  14. I'm watching Season 5 right now. I'm on episode 7. Not a fan of Azan - if he's not happy with Nicole's weight, he shouldn't have asked her to marry him. What'd he think she looked like when he proposed? I don't get it. Part of me doesn't think he's using her, if he is so worried about her weight, because if he was using her, he wouldn't care about her weight, he'd just see her as his ticket to America. IDK.
  15. i know. but mormons either who grew up elsewhere besides Utah or married someone whose not Mormon are generally not so naive. Like if she's gonna follow the Mormon principles to a T, then why'd she marry Lamar? You would think everything about Lamar would be a deal-breaker to her.
  16. I agree! Honestly, I think she’s shockingly naive for a 30-something adult. I know smoking and drinking is not the norm in Utah, but everywhere else in America, it is. Not everyone does it, but most everyone has been around it, especially at large gatherings of people. And it’s not just ghetto/hood people who smoke and drink on a regular basis, people from all walks of life do that, CEOs, real estate agents, property managers, waiters and everything else in between, people who are perfectly functioning members of society smoke and drink. When she walked into his brother’s house, you’d have thought she’d seen a dead body in there or something, with how uncomfortable and desperate to leave she was. It was absurd. Then she complained about the culture/poverty/violence of the hood. Like do you not know who you married? Do you not know anything about the culture he comes from??? He told you he was a gang member. He told you he did 18 years for armed robbery. Do you think someone like that comes from the same cookie-cutter sheltered Mormon life you live??? What were you expecting??? Im just shocked at how sheltered she is. And whether she is right or wrong about his family dragging him down, these are your in-laws now, at least respect your husband enough to be polite and civil to them. Lamar felt weird in Utah, but he dealt with it a whole lot better than Andrea dealt with his family. Andrea is completely inflexible and wants Lamar to do all the changing and her to do none of it. She needs to learn to take him as he is, flaws and all, the same way he takes her and her family and friends as is, flaws and all.
  17. i just watched (very late to the party, i know). i honestly don't think Jenelle knew what Nessa was talking about, i could tell she was confused, so i believe her when she said she doesn't run her page, she has someone else do it. Jenelle is too self-involved to keep up with the news, so it doesn't surprise me she didn't know who Colin Kaepernick was. I'm not sure when this reunion was filmed, like if it was before or after David killed nugget. I know it aired about 3 weeks after, but I don't know when it was filmed. So I'm not sure if Jenelle already knew she wouldn't be back next season. Why was Jenelle fired, again? Why was Farrah fired, for that matter? I don't quite get MTV's decisions here, tbh, like there seems to be a double-standard, since Amber gets to stay on board despite 2 different felony domestic battery charges in front of 2 different children and apparently MTV supports that, or supports it enough to keep giving her a fat paycheck while airing it on TV. BUT if they're gonna fire people and bring in new ppl, i think they should limit the cast to 4 main girls per season. less is more, so people get more time to tell their story, because these past few seasons, when they are trying to film 5 girls, it's too much, IMO, it gives every story less airtime since they are trying to cram in 5 different stories at once. i'd rather watch 4 girls, with longer segments, than 5 girls, with shorter segments.
  18. I’m sure they’re all expected to have each other’s number for filming/production purposes. I find it interesting that Ashley said she’s on Katherine’s side now. I wonder what happened between her and Thomas. She said something about the assault charges and sexual assault allegations taking a toll on their relationship, but didn’t really mention how so. Did Ashley believe him? I would think she did, because she chose to stay with him throughout most of it. Does she believe him now? I don’t know. Maybe it just made him stressed and he took it out on her, I don’t know. I think Ashley was very lonely throughout her time in Charleston and I think Thomas was basically all she had and since Thomas was not a particularly supportive partner, she basically felt alone. That kind of loneliness can make people crazy in that they are desperate for any kind of connection, so they’ll try to pursue friendships that are clearly dead or show up or linger even when they are clearly not wanted because they literally have no one else and no place better to go. IDK. I feel bad for the girl, in a way. She doesn’t do herself any favors with the way she acts when trying to redeem herself, tho.
  19. If Whitney had any significant influence on what airs on the show, I think they woulda cut any mention of him sleeping w/Katherine out.
  20. Or, they just have unreasonably high standards and nothing their partner says or does is ever good enough for them. They expect perfection and they feel anything less is grounds for them to scold or lecture or express their displeasure/contempt in some other way. Metul seems like one of those guys.
  21. Ding ding ding!!! We have a winner! I long ago realized and accepted that this is a TV show and while not scripted, being on a reality TV show is their JOB that they get paid good money for. Part of that job involves being put in situations you wouldn’t otherwise be in, with people you wouldn’t otherwise be with. It is what it is. They don’t tell you what to say or do in those situations, but they put you in them and it’s your choice how to act.
  22. Metul is weird. I didn't like how he cut off Naomi's story with, "I just don't like to be around people that gossip," or something like that. Like ok, so your gf can't just tell you about what's gone on the past few days in her life?
  23. he's expressed it multiple times, in so many words. He said she just left, without explanation. Like, there was no breakup talk, none of that, she just left. Lack of closure does suck, especially when you have to see your ex in social or work settings all the time.
