Happy Camper

At first (for a minute) I felt sorry for Meghan when I saw her "I am sad" post. But her subsequent actions and public comments have reversed my original opinion. I now believe that she walked into this relationship with eyes wide open, wanting to be the wife of Jim Edmonds, former MLB star with all the fame and fortune that goes with. I believe that she knew that she was marrying a cheater but thought that she was young and pretty enough to keep him. Wrong. I am positive that her friends and family warned her and she chose to ignore those warnings. . It would have been fine if she had done this knowingly, and suffered the consequences herself, but with much IVF effort and no consideration she dragged 3 kids into it. How damned selfish of her. She knew about his behaviours and kept it all hidden because of the humiliation. The phone call to the other woman proves this. Of course she is not the only one that he strayed with. I mean, c'mon, read the comments. Listen to the other players that know him. She must be so embarrassed, especially about the comments that she made about Jim's most recent ex wife. I would guess that this woman is quite ok with being the ex, and not being Meghan. She was spared the public humiliation. Generally I would tend to say, "that bastard, how dare he!" Not in this case, as Meghan knew that this man was the devil and she chose him regardless. So she made her bed, now has to lie down in it, but unfortunately she is one of four in that crowded bed. He will continue to cheat on her and she will be complicit in continuing to try to hide this embarrassment from the public to save face. She picked a loser and he picked a woman that would give him everything he wants, including a free pass for life. Shame on both of them. She was so proud of herself being labelled Detective MKE, but failed herself and her children when she was so busy investigating the lives of others that she ignored what was happening within her own home and relationship. We all saw "Jimmy" was checked out. It was played out on camera before she began to try to start a family. How did she miss that when it was so plain to see?

She may have been given an inflated number by her people on the ground. Before making statements like this during a major event, facts should always be checked first. OR...someone accidentally added a zero to the number five. OR... it could just have been Bethenny exaggerating again as she is want to do. Kudos to her for using her influence to make a positive difference. She can still be unlikeable to me, much like LVP is unlikeable to many folks despite her many many years of philanthropy.

Not a Beth fan but it's nice to see that she is using her recent former housewives status to do some good. Hopefully she will capitalize on this before she is no longer newsworthy and the paps stop following her. As a former housewife like LVP, speculation as to why she left the show has become just as interesting to people ( Yes, I am guilty) than any efforts she makes toward making the world a better place for people (or in the case of LVP, furry friends). I am glad that Bethenny has found a new purpose away from the cameras for her sake and for Bryn's sake. I just hope that she doesn't continue to put herself in front of the camera to feed her own ego.

They didn’t. So she gave a statement about her departure to Variety so fast that even some of the show’s top producers heard it first on social media.

It's not just LVP fans that are no longer interested. For some of the viewers, this has nothing to do with LVP. Some people have just been so put off by Kyle, Teddi, Erika, Dorit and Rinna they no longer care about this show. All the blame for the demise of this show cannot lie at the feet of LVP's departure. The rest of the cast just plain suck. I think that Erika made her exit for different reasons, but in the end I agree with you in that she got out just in time. If these women choose to trash SUR et al., they can expect the same attacks on the businesses that they are associated with. If they are going down that road, no one will be exempt. If this continues, the battle will not be fought on the RH "playground", but on twitter, intstagram and other social media, as well as the tabloids. A whole new ballgame. Bravo is going to lose control. Actually Bravo has already lost control of their players.

This is the reason why the show is turning to shit. Too much "acting" and "performing". Looking at you Kyle, Rinna, Erika. So rehearsed. Rinna even looks directly at the camera. You can tell that they practice "faces" in front of the mirror for full effect. They should have stuck with people who are more natural. Teddi is a dumb annoying bitch but at least she isn't trying to perform like a dumb annoying bitch. She really is one.

Odd how she is suddenly using the excuse that she wants to "focus on" her daughter. Hasn't Bryn been around for 9 or so years? Is she just realizing now that kids need their parents? I'm wondering if she's been granted full custody with the deal being that in order to do that she would have to give up the reality show?

If this is true and she is not returning, and she has no big events lined up for 2019, she can always supplement her income selling her DSL hats.

When is Andy's "Best Wishes Bethenny, Gonna Miss you Girl, Thanks for the memories" statement going to be released?? He must be writing and re-writing it so that he gets it perfect.

I wonder whether or not Kyle realizes this.

We'll have the answer when some reporter asks him about Bethenny and he responds "I don't know her". Andy really is a horrible vindictive person.

Fair enough, makes sense. I guess we will just have to wait to see his response to Bethenny leaving the show. I certainly could have spoken too soon.

The silence of Andy regarding her departure would add credence to this. When LVP left he said that the door would always be open to her. He is being surprisingly silent on the departure of Bethenny. I wish he would have had more of a response about this. While being interviewed just a few days ago, when asked if the housewives shows could survive the absence of any housewife, he very quickly and sternly responded "YES!" As much as I despise him (and Michael Rapaport, but I digress), I agree with this. But then again, I am in a bit of a pickle. I think that the housewives will survive, but they are definitely circling the drain as some posters are saying. A lot of people have given up on BH, not because LVP is gone, but because of the remaining cast. Also, very likely viewers will not be tuning in because Beth has left as she was a big draw for some folks. OC is for sure in the gutter, just shrieking and accusing and crying. I haven't even been watching this season, but just by reading the comments I can see that it's garbage. I could go on about the other cities, but it's more of the same. I am hoping that Bravo is able to resurrect the housewives franchise cause we want to love them so. Anyhow, sorry this turned up in the Beth thread. I am just hoping that some Bravo genius will shine a light back on the housewives. Hey there, Andy, the only other alternative is to start a new Bravo Network. Focus on the next generation. Bravo Brats of Housewives Network. (BBHN) I might watch that.

Exactly! The formula has changed, it's heavier. The laughter and "fun" and drama seems more contrived now. They all feel rehearsed and over produced. The women seem to be climbing over each other for the most attention. I hope they don't ruin Below Deck for me. 😔

She'll be hunkered down all alone in her round bunker with multiple cases of beer, wine and various hard liquors hidden under her bed. Also several cartons of ciggies. Mimosa's for breakfast, bloody marys for brunch, gin and tonic with lunch, nap in the afternoon, a beer after the nap, a couple of fun cocktails before dinner, wine with dinner and then martinis in the evening. I think her next arrest will be a DUI.

I don't think we will ever find out why she left. Probably more than one reason. ShawnaLanne is right, sometimes we just don't need to know everything. Last year when Carole quit there was some speculation that she was fired. We will never know the truth about that either. It's fun for people to guess though. That's what these boards are for!

This would not be surprising. Also, possibly to see how Jason reacted. It will be interesting to see how she escalates her instagram stories for shock value as she disappears into oblivion following her exit from RHONY. Skinnygirl execs are probably not amused. Interesting to see Andy Cohen not making any statements regarding her quitting. I think he is pissed. No mention of the door always being open to her like he said about LVP. Likely that door is just as slammed shut as it is to Jill Z. Good luck to Beth. She just shit all over the goose that laid her golden egg.

She also starting sleeping with her first husband's best friend immediately after leaving him. She then became engaged to the guy. I wonder how many of Peter's friends she got with. She could very well be the Harry Dubin of the housewives. LOL😯

The coming year will show what she is really made of. I just highly doubt that any success will come to any "production/starring in" show that she attaches herself to. My belief is that she attached herself to Paul because of his Hollywood connections. My opinion, he is not going to be able to help her. Her personality will ruin her chances of success with Burnett. Anyhow, let's check back in August 2020 to see where Beth has ended up.

I guess we will have to just wait and see what happens in the near future for Beth. I suspect she really depended on Real Housewives for her impossible thirst. For now she has just joined the club known as Ghosts of Housewives Past.
