I couldn’t come up with a better term than power, but what I meant was the kids might not respect Juliana after they heard their mother say she was not allowed to “parent” them. Of course Sarah and Michael set the rules but there may be times when Juliana has to enforce them and the kids could respond along the lines of, “Mom said we don’t have to listen to you.” I just didn’t think they should have been in on the conversation.

All I recall Robert saying was that one day she "just disappeared."
