  1. Send some of the snow to Dallas, I'd love to have a snow day!
  2. Poor Isis. Puppies in the next episode? Puppies in the Christmas Special? Puppies could get up to much better antics than the whole "Mr. Drewe and the train and the bags" bit?
  3. It'll either be a surprisingly cheap season or they'll have some really high euro games at the end to try and bring the balance up to a normal level? Also, it occurred to me going into the episode that this was the point last season where they had a "nobody gets eliminated" episode, and shocker, here we are at another one!
  4. Here's a Valentine's/ Galentine's/ Palentine's day question for all of you, what's the worst movie you've ever seen on a date? My friends and I were discussing this at dinner last night. I came up with Jack Reacher, which maybe isn't so bad as much as meh, but later mentioned the first movie I ever saw on a date was U.S. Marshalls, which the guys I was with seemed surprised I didn't think that was the worst (it could be the worst, I just don't remember it very well). The worst non-date movie I've ever seen is Ghosts of Girlfriend's Past, no question.
  5. Cod filet with steamed broccoli (and way to much Valentine's candy I started snacking on during the drive home from the store, bad me!)
  6. Belated congrats on the job, Glory!
  7. He's also had two of his roommates leave, which makes me wonder if he's encouraging them on whatever wrong thinking track they are on? Maybe he feels bad when it works well enough to send them home?
  8. I'm not sure if its the makeup or the costumes, but wow, Slater, Jessie and Kelly have barely aged a day!
  9. Same, haven't read it, definitely won't see it in theaters and realistically won't put it on my Netflix queue. I remember going to see "Moonrise Kingdom" when that came out, and having the weird experience of being in line behind a group of middle aged ladies, all of whom where buying tickets to "Magic Mike" and being really giggly about it. I could see the same thing happening again, just swap out "Moonrise Kingdom" for "The Imitation Game" or one of the other films I still want to see.
  10. Technically they are possible since they could be pulled off YouTube... That being said, I probably spent way too much time stewing over how that could possibly work today. Have someone read the subtitles as a translation/ voiceover while the regular show could be heard in the background? Skip audio clips of the show although and just describe the key moments? Or submit either BtVS's "Hush" or that episode of Frasier where Niles is mostly silent in the first act, but there's a ton of physical comedy with him setting things on fire and passing out from seeing blood, and use that as a litmus test to see how EHG handles a lack of audio? Or perhaps the most obvious -- Trip? Are you up to the challenge of submitting Wie is de Mol next time you're on the podcast? :)
  11. That makes sense, if it hasn't been subtitled, I have not watched it. All my knowledge of Dutch comes from watching this show, with subtitles, which means I have gleaned some random vocabulary words (Mol, Jokers, etc.) over the years.
  12. Loved this episode, listening to it this morning made for a great start to the day. Awesome Nonac submission, WordboyDave! You should do another sometime, I liked your style. And fun gametime, Andrew R Juhl! I enjoyed hearing the "Adventures of Pete & Pete" clip, I hadn't thought of that show in forever but instantly recognized it.
  13. Interesting... I've basically written him off as the Mole, but that makes me think I'm missing something that other folks are seeing? I'll have to pay closer attention next week!
  14. I made spinach and artichoke dip for a super bowl party, so that, plus pigs in blankets, chicken strips, baby carrots, chex mix, Blue Bell Mardi Gras King Cake ice cream (cinnamon ice cream, yum!), one beer and probably some odds and ends I'm forgetting...
  15. My sister and I are planning to trip to the pacific northwest this summer, but so far picking a destination has been about the extent of our plans.
  16. Do any of you have funny stories about your pets eating things they shouldn't? My boss's dog had to have emergency surgery after swallowing a tennis ball (the dog is okay, the boss is a bit sore after getting the huge bill).
  17. I was wondering who'd they pull in for the last spot and A. A. Ron Rodgers did not disappoint!
  18. Me too. Do you get sinus headaches? Sometimes I'll take sudafed before going to bed if a front is supposed to blow through overnight, it helps. Also, I don't think you all want to know how not-cold and sunshiney it was in Dallas today...
  19. What was the first game you all tried to play? Are you going to reuse it sometime?
  20. We're a doom-and-gloom bunch, everybody has voted for 18"+ of snow!
  21. Agreed! Viktor was creeping up my suspicions list this week, as was Chris. And it cracked me up when they were discussing the black exemption at the end, and someone asked Carolina if she played it, to which she responded "because I'm black?"
  22. Maybe call someone (the front desk, an HR contact) and ask for the other one? They'll probably give it to you if you say you had an interview and want to send a thank you. Or maybe just send it to the one if that's all you've got, and mention in how much you enjoyed speaking with both of them.
  23. Scrambled eggs with spinach, and hash browns
  24. TPTDP -- Sandbox?
  25. Glad it went well, Glory! Have you sent the interviewer(s) thank you notes yet? I recommend doing that to reiterate your interest in the job.
