Yeah I used to have videotapes, but long gone. I found a few of MW's movie of the weeks and have them, but I've never watched them. I think that Finland interview is still on Youtube somewhere. I noted it a few weeks ago but didn't watch it.

Last night I was randomly skipping channels and an old Murder, She Wrote came on. It had Marj Dusay and the guy who played Craig. I really wanted to watch it, but I was feeling really sick last night (fine now) and had to go to bed. Also it had already started, so I couldn't DVR it. I think it was season 6, ep 9. Will have to see if I can find it. I've also been rewatching 3rd Rock From the Sun, and Nicholas Coster was in a few eps. Always nice to see him in anything.

Yep that's what I thought. But I guess continuity is not SB's strong suit.

Hi @Shirlaine that is similar to me. I watched it in 1991, then a few ywars ago came across a clip on YouTube and slowly built my collection. I still haven't seen 1990 but I'm just starting it now. Sometimes I get frustrated, there are so many episodes and not enough time. I skip alot, the parts I don't like. I'm also slow because I'm also watching other soaps. I love them, I guess critics say it's crappy tv. I like it a lot more than so called reality TV.

I totally think she wanted Robert bc he wanted Eden and she couldn't stand that. I think Kelly was used to having whatever she wanted and men falling all over her and it bugged her that Robert wanted Eden and she set out to change it I like CG, but I still find Kelly is not my favourite character by a long shot.

Yeah my understanding is there is some concern about what they did to fix it- like whatever pins or metal bits or contraption they put into his ankle at the time to fix it- there is some concern that it is degrading or will degrade or something like that. And if so it seems like it is not an easy fix again. I think I got that from the Athletic podcast.

I just started watching this. I avoided it for a long time bc I don't like the subject matter (no judgment, I'm just squeamish about people dying, yes I probably need therapy lol), but I like Dhavernas. I caught a couple episodes last fall, maybe out of order, but started with the pilot last night. One thing that struck me with the eps I watched last fall and the pilot- She can say she does it to help people, but there is something more. Like she seems incredibly cold or indifferent to how it affects her children and the people around her. Like she showed little signs of being conflicted or even really remorseful after the girl took the drug and ended up sick- and yes of course, the teen has to accept responsibility, but the reality is Mary has deadly drugs around and didn't even lock the box. Then she told them their cat was dying and took the cat away! WTF that is some cold as ice shit. I'm not sure if this will ever be addressed in the show- like I assume we are supposed to see her as just this caring nurse or something- and I do think that aspect is there, I do think she feels empathy for her patients- but it seems like a lot more complicated than that. Other thoughts- the recycling of Canadian actors is sometimes irritating, sometimes amusing. The actress playing her sister in particular- I don't think really suits the role. A) I'm tired of seeing her in every CBC production and B) she could not look more different than Mary.

Ok so I'm done the Prometheus storyline and at the part where everyone is treating Grant like shit. So I know this story goes on and the real Grant Putnum comes back as a psycho but is the story any good? Like I find Grant and Celia boring now that it isn't about Luke and Holly and Robert. Also- everyone hates Grant but Luke and Holly would be dead if it weren't for him. Would be nice if Luke coukd use his influence and goodwill in the town to at least help him get a job. Cassadines on the scene (which I have watched before, it was the rest of early GH I missed)- So I'm not a Luke fan, but probably not supposed to be watching Stavros and comparing him to Luke and thinking eh, not that much worse than Luke. Actually I did find it interesting the writers had Stavros emphasize more than once that he waited for Laura to consent (I mean how could she truly consent when she was captive) - but nevertheless Stavros mentioning it twice really stood out in light of Laura's past with Luke. So I figure the writers didnt want to go there again with another direct rape, which as a viewer- I wouldn't have wanted to watch that again. (ETA although I just remembered Stavros did end up threatening that again I think....) I did watch when the story continued in the 90s but I can't remember how her relationship with Stavros was described then.

There were a lot of missed opportunities for sure.

Agreed. Not to mention the streaming and sponsorship deals now that have just started and will only grow. Although I'm not sure how the pot is split with those deals- the special/awful Apple games. I dont think it's a lot of money yet- but I could be wrong, I can't recall - but it's going to grow.

I don't have an issue with how much teams choose to spend. I just don't think it's any guarantee of success.

I'm sure his rep could go lower lol. Among owners and players. ETA but really I was referring to his competence. Love him or hate him, he usually gets good deals for his players. Regardless of how it turns out, this has been bungled twice now publicly.

This is starting to reflect poorly on Boras imo. After the Giants thing went south- ok who could've predicted it. But for him to not make sure all questions were answered by the Mets with the physical before proceeding, was really dumb. I know it's usually a formality and these deals are usually announced before they're done but I would have been more cautious with the media the second time around before making announcements about how there was zero health issue and acting like it was a fait accompli.

Well Ruth Wilson is not in the movie. So I assume they are keeping her dead. I'm really not into the movie regardless.

Is this Devers last year before free agency? I figured they want to let him walk. Would then have a year with Turner (23-24) before transitioning to someone else......? I don't know, I don't follow the team that closely but I have been wondering about Devers. ETA actually if this is his last year and they don't want to sign him, they could even trade him this year. Then use Turner as a fill in.

So.I thought I would like Kelly more when CG played her, but I still.dont like the character lol. Although CG is fine. I think bc she wants Robert. I can't stand the whole Kelly/Robert thing, I basically have to pretend it was always Quinn once they hook up. Or ff. Also today I decided when Lisa goes over the cliff- she/Eden go somewhere and get therapy anf then hook up with Robert for a while, who somehow isn't dead. And then at some point she will come back to Cruz. I have like 10 more eps of 1988 but I'm also back to where I was in 1989 when Robert was shot.

I'm watching this late- I'm really enjoying this season but I miss Colin Robinson. Kind of over it with the kid version. But other than that this has been a great season. I was really surprised they actually got married.

I DVRed it so I just started episode 1. If Sasha and Emily don't appear on my screen this season I will consider it a success. Making sense of the time travel makes my head hurt so I just ignore it. I do like this show always takes a different tack from what I expect. So it was interesting/different they had people on earth kind of remembering bc normally in a time travel scenario that doesn't happen. Also liked how they kept the characters kind of true to who they were- the sister is a mess, Zoey as an agent- eehhhh ok. Wouldn't hurt for that soldier to come back, the one the scientist slept with. Sorry I am just terrible remembering character names. ETA this show continues to have to most sudden, brutal deaths.

I guess I would figure them to be Protestant but honestly I know very little about either. Bringing Kirk back again and again was ridiculous. Upon further reflection I think I'm preferring Bunny bc Mason has a beard lol. Prefer LD clean shaven.

I dont know if I buy the Capwells as Catholic. If I had the choice of Sonny or Bunny, Bunny hands down.

I'm watching this show now, just watched ep 3.3. Since the beginning I've swung from this is an awful show and get close to quitting to really loving it. I really enjoyed season 2 a ton but so far season 3 not so much. I read the old show threads and agree with the comments there- it is mostly- Lindsay with Paul and the gross knife wound is just gross and not funny. Lindsay motorboating a kid- again gross, inappropriate, and not funny. The jokes with the other pregnant sister guzzling wine like meh. I don't find stories where the therapy is unrealistic and with no boundaries that great, although I could tolerate it to an extent. It's just irritating. The good- out of nowhere Vernon has become one of my favourite characters. I will give it a long leash but not sure how much gross wound humour I can take.

I've been reduced to watching soccer, which is a very low scoring game, and all I can think about is how Manfred would force the players to only stand/run in certain spots to make scoring easier.
