  1. Yeaaa! I was really happy when I found out yesterday. I'm a little surprised they changed the name of the show. I wonder if it'll be more like The Alienist: Angel of Darkness. Changing names just confuses people and isn't good for marketing. I haven't read any of the books, but I know Angel takes place quite a few years later after the first book. I'm guessing they'll change that.
  2. I also don't understand why they spent so much time on Robbie these first two episodes. At first I thought it was because he was going to be the first to leave. Now I'm wondering if it's because he'll be the last! I did like that Kenzii came back, especially after those other two guys decided not to swim over to Robbie. Robbie seemed genuinely surprised and elated. I wish they would have shown Kenzii finding the other shelter and supplies though. They're just not showing enough of the island life. I also wish they would say how much time has gone by. I think Robbie said Kenzii had been gone for a few days, but it felt like just one.
  3. I like the TV show Alone, but when they get to a certain point where you're just watching them starve, and eat squished mice and try to have a bowel movement... then it becomes not fun to me. Which is why I have no problem with the so-called production contrivances on this show. I guess they should have advertised the show different, because a lot of people seem to be confused about what kind of show this is trying to be. Five years ago there was a fictional Survivor-type show called Siberia. I enjoyed it, since it had a mystery/paranormal aspect to it, but it didn't get renewed for a second season.
  4. I thought she was the one breaking up with him, because, according to him, she can't do her music thing and be in a relationship at the same time. Not that it really matters. It's just more DRAMA! She'll probably write a song about it. I'm curious to know where they are getting fresh water from. I wonder if they built wells on the island, like they have on Survivor.
  5. You're welcome! I love that Catherine could care less that Tilney might have been disinherited and has no money.
  6. You missed my favorite part! Tilney proposing, and them living happily ever after. You can watch the scene here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Yw_FZrOZGY
  7. I guess it's how you define human companionship. For me it's about making real connections with people, and I doubt they can do that with the crew members, because like you said, the crew probably can't have meaningful conversations with them. As an introvert, I can be in a room full of people and feel uterly alone. I do think it's odd that the one singer was trying to find another person, but then decided that she had to do this on her own.
  8. I thought maybe he was being sarcastic, and therefore meant there weren't any grocery chains.
  9. Ugh I could only watch about 1 minute of that. I can't believe people get paid to just complain and nitpick about things. I guess I'm not a fan of critics! LOL I pretty much disagreed with everything she mentioned, but like I said, I only could watch a minute of it.
  10. I think it's like kids going off to college. You can be surrounded by tons of people, but if you're in a new place, and not around the friends and family you're used to, it can feel isolating.
  11. I enjoyed it because it was different than other similar shows. I think it's less about wilderness survival (finding food and shelter) and more about how they deal with their personal issues while away from the real world. I think the show intro called it a social experiment, which is what I think it is. But the basic survival part will be interesting too. I liked the little shelters and survival items scattered about. It's like each person has a piece of the puzzle (a machete, a saw, fishing equipment, a tarp) so it'll be interesting to see who comes together to pool their resources. It was also interesting to see who read the other people's journals, and who didn't.
  12. Does anyone know if the contestants are told what the different tasks are before they come on the show? We never saw them sketching out ideas like they do on other shows. Also, some of them had items from home, so they must have been told to bring them. If they do know the tasks, that kinda sucks because they probably already made them ahead of time and just had to duplicate them on the show. Seeing what people can come up with in a short amount of time is half the fun.
  13. I don't think that's quite what happened. Jody was holding Cassidy's hand, and Jesse said Cassidy must have chopped it off in order to escape. They weren't watching him when he chopped Cassidy up. Then when Cassidy shows up, he's still missing his hand, so he duct taped a weapon to his arm instead. LOL
  14. My first thought was that it was a homemade anchor, but there wasn't a rope attached. I suppose it could have came loose, which is why they weren't able to pull it up. I really liked the episode, but I didn't like how they faked the whole interrogation. I'm sure that was filmed earlier and then they just pretended that it happened while Josh was there. But I guess they fake stuff like that all the time to make things more interesting. And i agree that it's doubtful that woman was able to clomp around in the shoes, even if she weighed less at the time. My favorite part of the episode was Josh and the other guy dancing down the yellow brick road. :)
  15. Maybe because she would then know about his power and do everything she could to use Jesse and exploit it.
  16. Is it just me, or are the recent global game show questions really easy? Like they shouldn't even be multiple choice.
  17. I think they cooked it. I saw the cook had a stove, and there was a shot of one of the characters cutting the meat on a plate, and it looked like a medium-rare piece of steak.
  18. This is just a guess, but I think the killer carried them.
  19. Thank you! The egg cream one is my fav too. :) I wanted it to say John & Joseph's Famous Egg Creams, but the button is so tiny, I didn't have room. I was also thinking of making some that said "Cholera is a disease!" and "Syphillis!" but wasn't sure if I really wanted a magnet saying that. lol
  20. Here are some little magnets I made inspired by the show!
  21. I just saw that Jackson Gann, who plays Joseph, posted a photo on IG of him filming the deleted scene with Daniel. He said: I wonder if they decided to add a scene with Joseph due to the fan's positive reaction to him? Maybe they didn't think people would be so invested in his character at first? I think they filmed scene around March 18, so it really was a late addition.
  22. This laugh? :) I love Josh's reaction. Thanks for the follow!
  23. Disney struck gold with those two! I think some fans enjoyed their interview together more than the actual film! lol They're doing another movie together called Supernormal, and even though it's for Netflix, I'm hoping they do some promotion together! You're welcome! Maybe you'd be interested in this video I made which showcases Luke's talent for doing different voices and accents, and singing. I plan on updating it, especially with his recent Robot Chicken appearance.
  24. I just want to see some romantic interest from Sara. I didn't see any until the last episode, and it wasn't even when they kissed. It was when she told John that she had been teasing him earlier when she said that perhaps she was in love with Laszlo. When they kissed, she just kinda stared at him with a faint smile. I just want to see more smiles, more laughs, more interest in wanting to be around him. Mary never said a word to Laszlo, and yet I could sense there was something between them. Even when Laszlo walked in and out of the kitchen, and Mary had her back to him the whole time, I got the feeling that they cared for each. John and Sara's very last scene together was more of what I wanted, but it came too late. If they continue to be that way around each other next season, then maybe I could see them as a couple. But I still think John would be better with someone who wears their heart on their sleeve, like he does.
  25. Many of his films are on cable and Netflix. I just saw that one of his first films, Tamara Drewe, is going to be on MTV2 on Wednesday. My favorite character of his is Detective Fields in The Raven. Not the best film, but it's fun. He's had so many different roles, you'll be sure to find a favorite. :) I was talking to someone on Twitter who is going to be interviewing him soon for The Alienist, because of Emmy season coming up. If the show can get some Emmy nods, and if the actors are available, I think it'll be a shoo-in for a second season. Oh yes! I also love that he called his mom to listen in. He's such a mama's boy. :) Have you seen the video of him and Josh Gad being interviewed by two boys for Beauty and the Beast, and the boys start singing The Mob Song? Luke get's really into it. lol And if you've never watched the video of him making a prank call to a pest control company, drop everything and watch it! He's so expressive.
