On my rewatch of the series, I noticed right before Xi'an says "A lady never tells", Mayfeld asks her if Mando ever removes the helmet, and she shakes her head No. I think that right there tells the answer. I think she was just trying to be coy and sexy. If Mando was ready to die from an apparently treatable head wound, instead of letting someone close to him see his face, then I think it's safe to say that no one has seen it, especially that space tart. At some point, I think Mando is going to have to give the baby to someone else to take care of. And when that goodbye happens, I'm anticipating him finally taking off the helmet in front of the baby. And if he has tears in his eyes, I am going to lose it. 😭

I just listened to a podcast that Pedro was on in 2018 called Talk Art. He kept saying that he didn't know anything about art, but he definitely does. But he also talked about other topics, like his early childhood, being depressed when he left home at 18, what is going through his head when he watches movies, and why his favorite color is purple. It's really a great interview, and listening to his lovely voice is a bonus. 🙂 You can listen to it on spotify.

The Amazon Firestick I got for Christmas is dangerous. I spent last night watching a ton of videos on the Youtube app, and came across this new/old one. I'd seen pics of it before, but never the video. His laugh is life... HUNGER TV: Head to Head - Pedro Pascal & Lena Headey

Maybe a little? But that's only because Pedro has a very full face, and the angle in which they shot his face, coupled with him laying back, didn't do any favors. Then he had the matted hair, sweat and bloody face, which also didn't help to show off his looks. But it helped humanize Mando and make him look vulnerable. When he has the armor on, he seems infallible. He gets his ass kicked, but always prevails. We finally got to see that there is a fallible man under the mask. There were still plenty of fans familiar with Pedro who thought he still looked totally hot. 😁But I can see how others were expecting something different. I don't think Pedro is ripped like he was when he filmed GoT, but he definitely doesn't look like he has a dad bod. I may need some photographic evidence...

I just went to the video and sorted the comments by New and OMG. The thirst is real. 😂

I just discovered that Pedro was in a sock commercial last year where he dances, among other things. It's... something! 🤣

Yes, it's in the same universe. The show takes place 5 years after episode 6. There's been lots of talk about why Mando had never heard of Jedi, but I haven't heard a good explanation.

I was excited for the show since it was first announced, and there were rumors that it would be about Boba Fett. Baby Yoda was just a pleasant surprise. I've loved all the epsiodes, except for 5, but that's mostly because I didn't like some of the casting choices.

I thought Din's necklace was just the Mythosaur skull, which was also above the armorer's shop door.

Speculation for Season Two: The Mandalorian
pezgirl7 replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in The Mandalorian
Killing your own father and learning that you kissed your sister really takes a toll on a person. 😉 I'm not sure if I want to see any of the main SW characters appear on the show. I like that the show is kind of in its own bubble. I wouldn't mind a reference to them. I'd like to see Boba Fett though. I don't consider him a main character. -
Speculation for Season Two: The Mandalorian

I can't imagine they would end such a popular show after only 2 seasons. Back in November, the Walt Disney Studios co-chairman and chief creative officer Alan Horn said: “The Mandalorian is already proving to be a big thing, so if that series proves to be so compelling that we reverse engineer it into a theatrical release, a two-hour film or whatever, O.K.,” So they seem to be open to anything at this point that will continue the story. -
Speculation for Season Two: The Mandalorian
pezgirl7 replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in The Mandalorian
I'm guessing season 2 will be Mando and the baby on the run from Moff Gideon, and anyone else looking for them, while Mando searches for the Yoda species. Maybe he'll go to the core to try to learn more about the Force. I was thinking that if the Mando-child story is completed in season 2, would they make season 3 about another Mandalorian? Would fans lose interest in Din if he doesn't have baby Yoda with him? I also still believe that the mystery character at the end of episode 5 was Boba Fett, so I'm wondering when he will show up again. Season 3 could be about him, although apparently he's not technically a Mandalorian. I'm not saying that's what I want to happen, I'm just speculating. 🙂 -
After my rewatch, there are two things that didn't make sense to me. 1. Din said the only record of his name was in some Mandalore registrar, but he told Cara to take his necklace to the covert and tell them that Din sent them, and the blacksmith knew his real name. So if the other Mando's knew his real name, I don't why he didn't consider that one of them told the Imps his real name. Maybe he figures a fellow Mando would never betray him in that way. 2. Moff Gideon sent in that guy with the flamethrower, who pointed it right at the baby. So apparently Moff didn't care if the baby died? But all his other actions showed otherwise.

This episode was soooo good. So many OMG moments, whether they were of the kick-butt kind, the nerve-racking, or the cute and sweet. I was a little annoyed at first that they spent so much time on the two troopers in the beginning, because I was worried about Mando and team, but it was a great scene. Except for when they kept hitting the baby. That seriously pissed me off. I'm glad IG 11 smoked their asses. I loved that we found out Din's real name, and learned that he was rescued by a Mando. I was a little surprised that we got to see his face. With the matted hair and blood on his face though, Pedro wasn't that recognizable. I liked the "I'm not sad" when IG 11 called him out on being sad that he was going to self destruct. Growth! Sad that so many Mando's died because their cover was blown. I'm hoping some survived and we'll see more of them next episode. Loved that the blacksmith told Mando that he was the baby's father for now. 🙂 And I think he'll always keep his signet even when he has to return the baby to others of his kind. I'm sure I'll cry once that happens. Mando letting the baby keep his necklace was sweet too, as was the baby holding on to his leg. He finally got a jetpack! And he used it in a pretty epic fashion. The pose they have when they take off reminds me of Superman. Ok, time to watch it again. 🙂

YES to your entire post! 🙂 He's pretty goofy in video interviews, but I've read some written interviews where he definitely is more articulate. And he's very into activism and human rights. In one interview he said something to the effect of how he actually felt guilty that he's so dedicated to his craft which prevented him from giving 100% of his time to the causes he cares about.

Speculation for Season Two: The Mandalorian
pezgirl7 replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in The Mandalorian
I haven't heard anything about that. From what I've read, season 1 started production in October of 2018 and filming was done in February, then season 2 started in October. So they had a pretty big gap between filming the seasons. I'm sure they needed the extra time for the special effects. In September, Favreau said: I'm guessing the timeline for season 2 will be the same as 1. Having to wait a year for new episodes is going to be tough! -
I realized that during a rewatch when I had the closed captioning on, but I don't care. He's an asshole and deserves to have his name spelled wrong. jk I watched some episodes at my parents' house, and they have a soundbar. It was amazing how many more coos and giggles I could hear. Even the jingling spurs sound at the end of episode 5 was much more pronounced.

Yep, Prince Oberyn Martell, the Red Viper of Dorne. A truly intimidating character...

I caved and made a Mando / Pedro blog on tumblr. The only original content so far is a type of "choose your own adventure" Mandalorian holiday game. 🙂 https://bring-me-in-warm.tumblr.com/post/189832793728/a-very-mandalorian-holiday-to-play-simply-take-a

S01.E07: Chapter Seven - The Reckoning
pezgirl7 replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in The Mandalorian
He's been dropped on his head so many times, I doubt he'll speak normally when the time comes. lol -
We know his species ages very slowly, since Yoda was around 900 when he died. So yes, he can be a baby. Mando controls the bassinet using a device that's attached to his wrist. I think he wants to keep the baby by his side at all times because he knows there are other bounty hunters looking for him.

In the middle of a bunch of storm troopers... "I will initiate self-destruct." Although I don't really want him to die, so maybe he can just reach deep down into his neural harness and find his inner fighter again. -

I wanted Mando to pick him up right after he plopped down, and say Good job buddy, but they all just stood around staring at him. lol -
S01.E07: Chapter Seven - The Reckoning

Shit just got real. Another super stressful episode and at the end I went Noooo, it can't just end like that. I can't believe Mando fell for that trap. I wish I hadn't of watched the "previously on" clip in the beginning because it kinda ruined the return of all the characters. I was really confused by Baby Yoda lying on the ground at the end. At first I thought it was a decoy because he wasn't moving, but then they panned over to Kuill. I'm really sad he had to die. Although maybe he's just hurt and IG 11 can help him? I think IG 11 will definitely come into play at some point. Kuiil talking about how he taught IG 11 with patience and affirmation to reinforce its development, that it developed a personality as its experiences grew, and that it's only a reflection of those who programmed it was totally a metaphor for Baby Yoda. I think the baby was just trying to protect Mando when he choked Cara, because even good dogs will get aggressive when their owners are threatened. But he did seem to shake his head when Mando said "she's a friend". But if she's bad, then it will basically go against everything that we've seen of her so far. But I don't like how she referred to the baby as "it" and "thing" this episode. Random thoughts: Even Mando is calling Baby Yoda "baby" now! lol I think in the past, he's only referred to him as a kid or child. But he called him a baby in this episode. Mando asking Quiil to pad the baby's container so he can sleep better was ♥♥. I liked seeing Mando and Cara arm wrestling. It was cool seeing him as just a normal guy having fun. Mando needs to stop letting random people pick Baby Yoda up. It stresses me out. Also, how has he STILL not learned that he can't leave him alone? Sorgan sure got rowdy. The locals seemed so quiet and peaceful before. I hope Omera didn't see Mando's ship fly over head. 'You were in town and didn't even stop by to say hello? Womp rat.' When they were getting tossed around on the ship, I thought for a second that Mando and Cara would fall on top of each other for an awkward romantic moment. I'm so glad they didn't go there. -
Disney has just been referring to him as The Child, but I like Baby Yoda because it just sounds cuter. I agree that he needs a name! The only people Mando had met previously were Ran and Xi'an, and he knew Xi'an's name as soon as he saw her. How could he forget her? lol So I think he's the real Mando. I've seen a few people mentioning this, but I rewatched this episode recently, and the space station didn't blow up. The only thing we see explode is the ship inside. So presumably everyone else on the station is alive. I do think the x-wing pilots were a bit trigger happy though. I think the writers just wanted a "hurrah" moment at the end with Mando tricking and defeating the guys who tried to screw him over.
