  1. I think I prefer the episodic format better than the serial format. We still have the underlying story of Mando trying to protect Baby Yoda, and I think some of the characters we meet will return later. But the "filler" episodes, as some people call them, are just as enjoyable for me to watch, and more importantly, rewatch. I felt the same way with the X-Files. I hated the whole continuing government conspiracy storyline, but loved the stand-alone "monster of the week" episodes.
  2. I think he must be. The bone broth I can hand wave, because I doubt there were actual edible bones in it. But the lady mechanic telling the droids to get something with bones in it seemed out of the blue. When Mando was going to leave Baby Yoda behind, I wonder if he was planning on telling Omera that the baby is 50 years old and will probably be a child for her entire life. That's a bit of a commitment to just drop on someone. lol
  3. I think seeing the type of scum he used to hang around with helps us understand why he seemed so drawn to the simpler way of life and the kinder people on Sorgan. I'm guessing he hadn't been around many women like Omera before. Maybe Baby Yoda will use the force to chuck the ball at the head of a bad guy. lol I'm still wondering how he was able to climb up the ladder to the cockpit. He sure gets around for such a little guy.
  4. Cute! Target has the little figures too for preorder.
  5. I hated when Baby Yoda was dropped on the floor. 😢 And when Mayfield picked him up, and pretended to drop him, and the others laughed, I wanted Mando to smoke their asses right there. I guess the fact that he left them in prison instead of killing them shows that he's not the same guy he used to be. I agree with another poster in that he has questionable taste in women. That chick was annoying and not all that. I guess it gets lonely in space though and a Mando's gotta do what a Mando's gotta do. There were some really cool shots in this episode, like when the lights were flashing and Mando was walking up behind Mayfield. I was actually pretty stressed while watching the whole episode, but I should have known that Mando would come out on top. Baby Yoda wondering if he blasted the droid using the force was super cute. As was Mando giving him the ball at the end. He really needs to pick up some real toys for the kid.
  6. I was thinking that Pedro has such a good voice, it'd be cool if he did some book narration, and then I found out that he has narrated some children's books. They're long books - about 7 hours. He did them 10 years ago, and definitely sounds different than he does today. Younger, I suppose - imagine that. lol You can listen to samples here: https://www.audible.com/search?searchNarrator=Pedro+Pascal I'm also on season 3 of Narcos, which he narrates. The actor that played his partner narrated the first 2 seasons, so it was a pleasant surprise to hear Pedro's voice in the beginning. He sounds closer to Mando in that. 🙂
  7. Yea, I'm thinking it's a lot more scenes than they're letting on. I feel kinda bad for the doubles. I've read a lot of fan comments about how Pascal can emote through the helmet, just by his use of body language. Turns out a lot of that praise should have been given to someone else instead.
  8. I love when he opens his mouth up so we can see his tongue. He doesn't do it often, but it's totes adorbs.
  9. Here's a more in depth interview with Brendan, and it does sound like he did a ton of scenes. He said Pedro was working on 3 different projects at the time. I'm a bit salty though, because I do think people involved in the show gave the impression that it was Pedro in the suit most of the time (when there weren't stunts involved). I shouldn't really be surprised, since other masked Star Wars characters were different people doing the voice and the movements. But half the character is how he moves and reacts to things, so I am surprised that it wasn't mostly Pedro in the scenes. It's interesting that the producers liked how Brendan walked, so Pedro had to learn how to mimic Brendan! I did notice he walks incredibly slow. lol
  10. I had read that it was mostly the stunt double on set for episode 4, but it's kinda disappointing if it was ALL the stunt double. There was another interview with Bryce where she said she barely worked Pedro, but in this one it sounds like she never did. Ah well, at least it's all his voice!
  11. Funny, after I first watched the trailer, I was in the mood to listen to the full song, and discovered there are around 6 different versions on spotify all by New Order. I'm not sure which one, if any, is used in the trailer.
  12. I couldn't tell what kind of villain he's suppose to be, but he looks so weird! And now I'm imagining Mando taking off his helmet and having that hairstyle. 😆
  13. Then it's probably a nod to Sia's real hair or the wig that the girl in many of her videos wears. Either way, I think that we're putting too much thought into a lingerie commercial. 😂 I noticed the video has over 100 million views. I wonder how many are repeat views. 😁
  14. I think it was. We saw it in the first episode, and I remember thinking two things. 1. That bed doesn't look nearly deep enough for Mando to sleep in, and 2. Putting the bed right next to the toilet is convenient but also a little unfortunate. The bed looked a bit like a cot, so I wonder if it can be pulled out some to extend its length. In my first post I was critical about how Mando treated baby Yoda in this episode, but what I did like was how he swaddled him and laid him down so gently. ❤ I also liked how baby Yoda looked when he walked out of the ship. His ears were crooked which made him look disheveled, like someone who had just woken up.
  15. That's a great video! I didn't want to overload people with too many vids, because they're all great! lol There's also a Facebook live interview he did with his Narcos costar that's really funny too. He seems to get along so well with all his costars, which I think is a sign of just a really nice person. He did a fake talk show appearance for Funny or Die. It's super short but worth the watch just to see him crack up and spit his water out. Go to the 5 minute mark: https://youtu.be/6sPZsGoQ6-A He showed her a bloody rock. I think they were having an affair and he killed her husband? It's a lingerie commercial so all I really care about is Pedro rolling around shirtless on a bed. lol Also, I think the blonde wig is a nod to the wigs that Sia wears.
  16. Was he? I honestly don't remember and I no longer get HBO so I can't rewatch. 😞 But I think that video was way hotter than anything on GoT. Not a fan of the sex scenes on that show. Also, I hated his hair/facial hair in GoT, so I didn't find him particularly attractive back then. I'm on the second season of Narcos now and I think he might have more sex scenes in that then he does in anything! The Great Wall was horrible. I watched it just for him, but had to skip over a bunch of scenes he wasn't in because of how bad it was. I'll have to see if I can track down those other shows. ETA I just went on pedro-pascal.com to look at screen caps of him in GoT, and he had his shirt off in only one scene. So yea, that Sia video was way hotter. lol I was also reminded of the scene with him and Tyrion where he tells Tyrion that he would be his champion. That was such a great, well-acted scene.
  17. I didn't know anything about Pedro before The Mandalorian. I had only seen him in Game of Thrones and Triple Frontier on Netflix. I had no idea he was born in Chile, but raised in the US. I started watching Narcos on Netflix, where he plays an American DEA agent in Columbia, so he gets to speak both English and Spanish. Even with the mustache and the unflattering 80's clothing, he's attractive! It's interesting that even his regular speaking voice sounds different than Mandos. Mando's is much more leveled and low-toned. He does such a great job with the voice. I watched some interviews on youtube, and he's such a goofy, energetic, down to earth guy. He's the opposite of Mando. Here's one of my favorites: 10 Things Pedro Pascal can't live without by GQ Then I discovered that he was in a music video with Heidi Klum to promote her lingerie line, and holy smokes 🔥🔥🔥. How am I suppose to continue watching The Mandalorian knowing that's what is under all the armor?! lol Also, it gave me ideas on what might happen if he ever takes the armor off, which made me wish for once that this show was on HBO instead of Disney. 😁 Watch at your own risk.
  18. "Bad news. You can't live here anymore."
  19. This was my least favorite episode so far. I liked many of the callbacks to the original films, although I thought the opening scene was a bit too corny and cheap looking, even by original Star Wars standards. My main issue was with the casting of Toro. He just seemed like a guy from the Bronx. Too modern and American. I didn't care about his character at all. The other thing that felt off was how Baby Yoda was treated. I can see Mando leaving him sleeping alone in the ship, but when he comes back, he just leaves again. He doesn't check to make sure BY is comfortable staying with the wacky lady, or ask her if she could watch him a little while longer. He just jumps on the speeder bike and takes off. Then after he shoots Toro, the lady seemed more worried about BY than Mando did. I thought for sure BY might save himself by using the force to throw a piece of junk at Toro's head. That would have been funny. What I did like was little BY walking out of the ship. So cute and he looked like he was a little scared, wondering where his daddy was. 🙂 Also, Mando seemed to have made a little spaceship seat for him, which was adorable. Despite not really liking this epside, I thought it was too short. It seemed a bit rushed.
  20. I don't hear a lot of the child coos either, unless I turn the sound up really high. But like you, I live in an apartment and try to be mindful of my neighbors. 🙂 I watch with the captioning on mostly because there will be made-up Star Wars' words that I don't recognize.
  21. The head is made of vinyl though. I want one that's 100% soft so I can squish it. 🙂
  22. I've see a lot of people online talking about how stupid that was. I'm just going to chalk it up to bad writing or directing. But maybe there was a part of him that wanted to get caught. I love the noises Baby Yoda makes! The close captioning calls it cooing, which just makes it even more adorable.
  23. Kuiil and Cara have different skill sets. It seems like Mando needed someone who was good at engineering, and maybe doesn't need a hired gun. Also, he met Kuiil before he decided to become a baby daddy. Maybe he doesn't want to put anyone else into danger. But I'm thinking he'll eventually realize that he needs some help.
  24. Talking about social cues, one thing I noticed while rewatching last night was that when Mando leans back on the sled to go to sleep, Baby Yoda also then leans back. It was super cute! And Mando lounging back was pretty hot. lol I hope that's Pedro in the suit. People on reddit were questioning whether or not it was really him, but I can't imagine it wouldn't be.
  25. He was trying to lay low, so I don't think he wanted to draw attention to his ship or where he was going to be staying. That's why he left it out in the woods, far from the village. Anyone that could track his ship could have found him instantly. I was thinking that particular frog was maybe poisonous. I thought Baby Yoda kinda made a blech noise after spitting it out. But the way it was filmed, it does seem like he spit it out because the kids were laughing at him. But that's how babies learn, taking social cues from others. Maybe it's time he learned not to swallow live frogs whole. lol
