I think Brendan had a burst appendix. Or something in his gut burst. I don't think he was out of action for too long. I think Mando had 4 stand-ins in season 1. I also noticed that Lateef's latest post was a fan video of Mando and he wrote "My brother Brendan bringing all the epic swag to the Mandalorian ... still amazes me!" Which to me is basically saying, Brendan was in the suit most of the time. It amazes me how angry some Pedro fans get when you mention that. They just don't want to believe it, and think that you're somehow dishonoring Pedro.

I hope Bryce isn't directing again. Although I liked her episode, I don't think it had anything to do with her directing. I think there are much better directors out there that should get a chance. I also thought having her son and the godmother of her children in the episode were casting mistakes that were only allowed because she was directing.

I finally got to watch the WW video, and he was adorable, as usual. Seemed like they had a ton of fun on set while filming. I'm sure we'll be getting a lot more interviews in the coming months! I think a lot of paparazzi in LA just stake out a specific corner or spot, and sit there all day, waiting for a celeb to go by.

Yes, I've seen it. But I think pap pics and videos are a huge invasion of privacy, and it's too bad that so many of the fans accounts don't see how disrespectful it is to post that kind of stuff. I would have commented on the IG, but I know it wouldn't have done any good since I've had words with the owner of that account over other things. It's so weird that people can make money just by scoping out a spot and waiting until a celeb passes by, and then selling the photos or video. Personally, I would feel super guilty doing that. Anyway, at least he wasn't doing anything "bad", like you mentioned! This episode had so many ridiculous moments. I knew as soon as Charlotte was attacked, that it would be Sidney that would appear out of nowhere and save the damsel in distress. Despite them being in a city of a million people, they just happened to be in the same dark alley at the same time. Then we have Charlotte spouting off about Miss Lambe and her feelings towards Sidney to a complete stranger. And finally the sex scene on the floor, with 3 seconds of foreplay. Despite the ridiculousness, I'll be watching till the end!

Honestly, that would be really bad writing and editing if that were the case. There was really no reason to show it at the end if it was Mando, and to treat it as some kind of cliffhanger moment. I'm assuming Toro took any money off of Fennec, so there wasn't any money left for Mando to take. My money is still on Boba Fett. The spur sound and beeping noise, which Boba had in the original films, were added on purpose. If it wasn't Boba, I don't know why the show runners would have those sounds.

I think I would prefer more episodes of The Mandalorian, as opposed to having two shows run at the same time, in the same universe. At this point, I don't think any of the guest characters are interesting enough to deserve their own show. If Mando ends up giving the baby to someone else, I suppose there could be a Baby Yoda show. It could also delve into that baby's backstory. But I'm not sure if I could handle seeing the baby with anyone other than Mando at this point. 😢

I was curious and googled it, and color me surprised... there is a Creative Arts Emmy Award for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance. It is awarded to a performer for an outstanding "continuing or single voice-over performance in a series or a special". Pedro better at least be nominated for that! I think the show will also be nominated for special effects, score, as well as a few others. I suppose any more discussion about that should go in the Media thread.

Are you sure you get Ovation? I also have Spectrum, and from what I've read, Spectrum no longer carries Ovation which is why it's not a provider option on the website. I believe Bravo airs old episodes, but not the new ones. I don't believe Pedro has ever been the to the Oscars. I can't really see him getting invited since he's known more for TV, and the movies he has been in haven't been that Oscar-worthy. I wish he could get nominated next year for The Mandalorian, but that's not gonna happen, especially since he mostly only does the voice. I don't think any of the awards have a voice-over category.

No, I have not been able to see it. I do not get Ovation, and I haven't been able to find it online anywhere. I've only seen the commercial for it. I hope Pedro starts posting on twitter more. He used to post a ton, mostly about social issues. Maybe he doesn't want to be too outspoken now that he works for Disney. But he also used to search his name and reply to unsuspecting people. His posts were pretty amusing!

I'm hoping he goes to the core, just so we can see him in a more sophisticated world. How do people react to a Mandalorian on Corellia? Does Mando act differently in that type of atmosphere? I would assume he would feel out of place and awkwardness might ensue. : )

I was also confused about that. I assumed he wanted it alive, because if we go back to episode 3, when Mando was listening in on a conversation with the doctor and the client, the doctor mentions that whoever they are working for wanted the baby alive. I'm assuming he was referring to Gideon. But then Gideon sends that guy in to torch the place, with the baby inside, so it really doesn't make any sense. My theory is that Moff wants to inject the baby's force into himself so he can become the new Vader. He was even dressed like him. Not sure how he expects to do that if the baby is dead.

I just looked for Pedro's jacket, or for Christian, because he had that big beard. lol At one point, Pedro was sitting at the front of the Marriage Story table. I'm guessing he got up to talk during the commercial, and then didn't have time to get back to his seat. I loved the pics of him talking to Meryl. I don't know if they had met before, but Pedro seemed very happy. 😁 Pedro fans seem to think Erin and Pedro have been very good friends for a while, and she posted a pic of them at the event on her IG. I think you're probably right about her just having one of those faces. I'm not sure if he has a Sarah P. level of closeness with anyone else. Face licking and hand holding. Except maybe Oscar Isaac. 😂 He's suppose to be going to Brazil to film Tropico soon. It lines up with the end of season 2 filming. But I'm still curious how much filming he's actually doing for season 2. It'll be interesting to see if we can spot a difference in Mando's appearance/movements.

Since Pedro was sitting near Christian Bale, I wonder if he got a chance to talk to him. Empire of the Sun is one of his favorite movies, so if he hadn't met him before, I'd like to think he was fanboying internally. 😁

I was hoping he would wear a regular tux, but I kind of like that he was wearing a silver suit, á la Mando. 😁 I posted a bunch of photos on my blog. This is my favorite... He was sitting at one of the front tables, next to Christian Bale's wife. His "date" was Erin Moriarty. They acted together on a TV show 8 years ago, when she was 18, so I don't know if they're actually dating or just friends. That's all I'll say about that. lol

Hmm, I feel like maybe a lot of that stuff are just props being taken out of storage or put back. Doesn't necessarily mean they are using it to film for season 2. The burning trees is interesting. It doesn't look like Sorgan, and I hope it isn't! That would be super sad. And honestly wouldn't really make any sense, unless Moff is going after anyone that Mando has had contact with in the past. Like, I'm gonna keep killing innocent people until you hand over the baby.

I am also super curious about this, and I honestly can't tell any differences. If I had to guess, Pedro was never in the suit in season 1, except for the face reveal. Someone on reddit who said they worked on season 1 claimed that Pedro was never on set. But then we have quotes from Brendan and Pedro which seem to contradict that. Although could they have been talking about season 2? Also in the Talk Art podcast, Pedro said he would be in London until the beginning of December filming Wonder Woman, and season 1 of The Mandalorian was filming for all of November. If he didn't do any filming for half the episodes, why even bother having him in the suit at all? Also, Mando looks very slim in pretty much all the episodes, and Pedro did seem a bit chunkier during that time and had a bit of a tummy. But I feel like the easiest way to tell would be by looking at the shoulders, because Pedro has such broad shoulders. Time for a rewatch!

Wow! Good memory! I first saw him in Buffy way back in 1999, and I can vaguely remember his character. Kingsman: The Golden Circle is going to be on FX this Wednesday. His character is... quite the character! Only Pedro can look like Burt Reynolds, spout cheesy lines, and still be attractive. sigh

I got a Baby Yoda ornament for Christmas that was crocheted. He's gonna be out all year round. 🙂 I have a feeling Mando is going to change his stance about taking off the helmet, or we're going to learn that he can take it off in front of family. And Baby Yoda is his family. 😊
