  1. I'm going to miss Lindsey and her confessionals. She fast became my favorite person in the cast this year, and she seemed to be well liked by many of the others. I knew she wouldn't be around long, but I had really hoped that Laurie would go for the mess rather than Lindsey for the boring.
  2. Wouldn't swear to it, but wasn't that guy Paula's assistant who travels with her?
  3. Agree with this, and his partner needs to let other people talk. It sounded to me as if someone was shushing Bindi when she started to take over another team's interview.
  4. Yes, this. And also that Liam owes Ivy something because they were once married. That marriage wasn't out of love. It was because Ivy begged Liam to marry her so she could remain in this country, and once that was no longer a threat, Liam served up annulment papers on the spot. To me, this means Ivy owes Liam; not the other way around. And Steffy is now a killer and a bully. Maybe she shouldn't have fired Ivy, but Ivy played the bully card first with the blackmail crap. And Steffy is not a killer in the usual sense. It was self-defense and accidental. I'm just not able to follow the logic of all this. Okay, I'll show myself out.
  5. Devil's advocate for Lindsey, probably because I'm one of the 3 or 4 people on this board who liked her design. I worked for a very large concern, and if we were hurt on the job, we had to see the resident nurse or doctor, and if advised to seek further medical attention - shot, stitches, X-rays, even hospital admission, it had to be done on the same day as the injury or accident. Otherwise, there would be company insurance problems, and you might end up having to pay for additional attention on your own. It's possible that Lifetime or Project Runway's insurance had the same stipulations.
  6. I much prefer Jack to Marco. It may have looked like it was sweet, hot love with Marissa in the cabin, but he was probably going to kill her as soon as they left the cabin. I prefer my men to want me to live. I love a guy who can wear a suit and is super smart, as well as sometimes vulnerable. I like to be needed and I like to know that guy is there if I'm in need. I do hate that Jack does nothing to get back at Victor though, but I rationalize that as not the fault of PB or the character Jack, but those freaking writers. In my heart, I know if Jack had full control of his life, he most definitely would make Victor pay. I just have to find a way to get rid of Pratt so this can happen.
  7. Ah, come on, crosby777, you've got to just kidding. You really don't find anything sexy or appealing or whatever about Jack. He really is the good guy, and although I'm as disappointed as anyone that he doesn't seem to have the guts to tackle Victor, I'm still hoping something will change. Will you change your opinion if Jack does act?
  8. Love everything you have said. This is why I am no longer loving TK as the new Ridge. He is the new persona of the Ridge that always was, and if I had to choose, I would choose Caroline over Ridge. I agree with some that the actress sometimes crosses the line to giggly teenager reading of lines, but I would rather that her character reign supreme over that of the perennial playboy, Ridge.
  9. Okay, is it going to be Nicole who spills any beans looking to be spilled? She brought up his former relationship with Caroline to Thomas, and then brought it up again to Zende. She shouldn't even know about that because even Maya didn't arrive on the scene until Rick was already involved with Caroline. When Maya broke up Rick and Caroline the first time, Caroline did not run to Thomas. She instead tried to discredit Maya. Then Zende warns Nicole NOT to talk about it. Sounds like Maya warning Nicole not to tell Wyatt about the transgender issue. And look what happened there.
  10. Nobody goes on a date on this show. The girl just drops in at the guy's house, and then they boink. Jeez. I've brought my daughter up better than this. She knows enough to get a free dinner first. The dresses today were gorgeous, and such beautiful colors. Of course, it helped that the actresses have such terrific figures.
  11. I could co-sign every word of this, but only if Caroline tells Ridge exactly what happened. And Ridge is just as honest with Caroline. All of this occurred because he wasn't honest with her in the first place, and if she doesn't tell him about Thomas, it will come back to bite her in the buttocks. I think so, anyway. Ridge needs to take responsibility for his stupid actions with regard to Caroline. He needs to know how much he hurt her, and what it led to. Ridge, Thomas and Caroline also need to work this out in whatever way it takes. If Ridge and Caroline can't be honest with each other, then they're just like every other soap couple and might as well break up sooner rather than later. I hate dragged-out story lines, triangles, quads. Come up with some new plots.
  12. The Age Question: Only Brad Bell knows for sure how old these characters are supposed to be, but if you go by the story lines, Brooke, and Ridge, too, are damned old. Last time Hope's age came up, she was saying she was 22. Since her big sister was married (maybe at age 18?) to Hope's daddy, this would make Bridget at least 40. Rick is older than Bridget, but I don't remember by how much; maybe 42. Brooke graduated from college with a degree in chemistry before going to work at FC, so that makes her at the very least 22 having Rick, for a grand total of 64 years old. And that makes the baby she just lost truly a miracle from Above. Loved Ridge and Caroline together. I literally smiled while watching them. But no more. What Ridge did to Caroline today was more cruel than anything anyone should do, never mind to someone you love. Then to compound it, he lets hours go by, calls her and is surprised to hear she's crying. What a piece of crud. I can never enjoy them together again. Too many people have too much hair. Yes, Steffy has way more hair than she or anyone else should have, but so does her father. At least Steffy's looks clean. I love the acting job TK is doing, but just hate his appearance. Sorry to say that because he's still prettier than I am, but don't like the house he lives in, his clothes, his scruff, his hair, his manners. Lord knows, I don't want to get into a discussion of Hope vs Steffy ever again, but I think people are either blaming the actress way too much or giving her way too much credit. Not sure which because Liam is supposed to be the prize and he's just not (even though I like SC the actor). Yes, indeed, Steffy did interfere in the relationship between Hope and Liam, but the one segment that really had me staring at my TV slack-jawed was the one where Ridge and Taylor are standing over their unconscious daughter, and Hope is in the hallway outside the room in a bikini bra exhorting Liam to go in and tell Steffy it's over between them and that he has chosen Hope. She even stopped by daily while Steffy was on bed rest in her own home to make sure Liam understood that he had to do this. I know that's how the writers set it up, but I thought this was the worst way possible that it could be written. All the other crap, no matter who did what, was just part of prolonging the crappy triangle. One girl was just as bad as the other. Still not bothered by the new Thomas. I think the young man who plays him is good looking, and I think he will develop more chemistry with his fellow cast mates as he gets to know them. I'm not sure he has even been on my screen yet for as much as 25 minutes, so I'm still going to give him some time. My biggest problem with him is the stupid dialogue and story lines they are putting him in, and I hope that gets better. In fact, I hope the story lines get better for each and every actor, even Nicole. Well maybe not Nicole.
  13. It must be easy to work on this show. If you're in Wardrobe, you just put Brooke in the same type of clothing she always preferred even if both her body type and age have changed. You can use most clothing, tops especially, as uni-sex. Much like Y&R used ladies' tees for Daniel, this show can put Thomas in a blouse or Zende in a ladies' hoodie. Zende was looking so hot after that work-out scene, but then he put on my daughter's vest, and even his arms looked less masculine. Liam, Wyatt and Steffy have all been discussed much, but how about Ivy? They put her in a very flattering 2 piece dress with a bare midriff one day, and everyone liked it, so they just put her in the same dress day after day with just a color change. And the same for the writers. They write a few lines of dialogue for each cast member and they're finished with their work for 5 to 10 days. Ivy: Justice for Aly; Steffy is a muhduh-ur, let's have unemotional sex and watch my video. Wyatt: You deserve it; I'll ride your coattails because I deserve it, are you sure you're over Liam. Liam: I know you're innocent; I won't let you go to jail. Steffy: I'm innocent, don't tell my father. Ridge: Caroline wants a baby; I don't want a baby. And so it goes with every character. I dread Rick & Maya returning because I'm not sure anyone has remembered to write new dialogue for them and we'll be back to honesty, integrity, etc. On another note, I wouldn't mind Thomas and Caroline together for a while. I love Ridge and Caroline as a couple, and it's probably the only time I smile with this show is when they are on screen. I hate May/Sep couples though for the most part, and I don't want to see Caroline waste her young life catering to Ridge. I'm not enamored with nu-Thomas, but I think he's all right. The only reason I don't want him with Caroline is his height. He's way too tall for such a tiny girl. I really thought he might have been brought on for Ivy because she is as tall or taller than most of the men she plays against, and that's a little disconcerting, too.
  14. What a nice person you are. Can't thank you enough for all your help. And I am on Eastern Time so I have no work left to do to catch up other than turn on my TV.
  15. The color of the pants was the only thing that reminded me of Venice. It looked like the color that much of the red brick has faded to, especially at twilight from the water. The stripes for the gondolier was a real stretch. They not only went the wrong direction, but were way too narrow. The cape, which was not a cape, looked like anyone's oven mitt, but was so very definitely not Venetian in pattern or colors. This does help. Thanks so much.
  16. It's not just your connection. I tried more than once a day to see the last episode on Lifetime's site and never made it all the way to the end. I, too, refuse to pay anyone else to see the show. I pay too damned much already to my cable company, and Lifetime owes it to me for free because I watch their rotten commercials. The other sticking point for me with Lifetime is that it took them 7 days to post the episode on On Demand. In fact, they didn't upload the 2nd episode until after the third had already been shown at prime time.
  17. The murderous scene that viewers saw was from Steffy's perspective. Aly was holding the rock in the palm of her right hand. Ivy's video is taken from Aly's back, looking toward Steffy. I can't see Ivy's video all that well, but the rock would not have been visible from that side, only the back of Aly's hand would be seen.
  18. This post was not mine. I just ran across it in another thread and thought the information might be interesting to all of you who think garments like a kimino are indigenous to Japan. It says...... I found these videos comparing Kimono, Hanfu and other styles rather interesting. http://yangandchinesecloth.blogspot.com/2012/11/the-difference-between-japanese-kimono.html There are some clear differences as well as obvious similarities. As well as this short article: http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-a-chinese-kimono.htm From the article: "Though commonly thought of as a traditional Japanese garment, the kimono actually traces its origins to China. The Chinese kimono, first worn during the Qing Dynasty, was a silk robe worn by those of the upper class. More correctly known as a hanfu, this garment features full, sweeping sleeves with a cross-body collar and is often tied at the waist" And this one (confirming the idea that the "kimono" type garment originated in China): http://www.encyclopedia.com/topic/Kimono.aspx I don't know whether Lindsey is simply ignorant of the difference between Japanese and Chinese, or whether she was using the term to convey a generic "robe" type of garment. Either way, while the term "Kimono" might be usually specific to Japan (since, as the encyclopedia article points out, it is just a Japanese word meaning "thing to wear" which came into usage in the late 19th century) the general concept of the garment is not at all unique to Japan.
  19. Add me to the list counting on Kevin to help Jack get some justice. As for Kelly.....I'm not positive about any of this, but I seem to remember that Victor informed Jack and/or Phyllis that Kelly had died, and provided some kind of proof or backup. Someone then told Stitch and he left GC to take care of his sister's body. I have no recollection at all of what Stitch supposedly did, but perhaps one of you can set me straight. If anything I think I recall is correct, then Jack cannot possibly be charged with Kelly's death because Victor reported it long before Jack was kidnapped.
  20. Thanks, Snide Asides and Nashville, for your responses. I got thinking about this after last night's episode when Julia said that Austin wasn't the kind of guy Liz could take home to meet the folks. I know nothing is mentioned on the aired programs, but I would guess if you had two daughters on the show, you would have the live feeds, or at the very least, be checking out all the boards. While I don't think Liz or anyone else should be warned while the game is still going on about what's being said about them on the internet, it might be nice to let them know what type of publicity is going to hit them when they get out....that is, if it's something negative.
  21. Does BB staff make housemates aware of any behaviors, actions, whatever that are making the rounds on the internet? I'm thinking of last year, for example, with Christine and Cody. Was she made aware before her release that her husband was even questioned abolut the C&C coziness, or did she have to find out when her husband hit her over the head with it. I'm specifically wondering this year, will Liz.......and perhaps, Julia....be told that Austin's newest form of...uh....affection is being discussed.
  22. I know who should NOT be Forrester's new lead model. Linsey Godfrey. This girl, to me, is so beautiful that I have trouble seeing anything but her in her scenes. Models are supposed to just show the fashion, not themselves. For me, that would be impossible if Linsey were on the runway.
  23. Well, it appalled me that Ivy was using blackmail, and I disliked her for it. I still think it is somehow, someway based on Liam. Either Ivy still wants Liam or perhaps she just wants to make him also pay for dumping her by showing him that Steffy is not all that. However, with Steffy demanding that Wyatt delete the video, it puts the two young ladies back on an even playing field. They both stink. I grew up with duck lips, and know every name you can call anyone with them. Believe me, Puffy, etc., are way too mild. Like Steffy, there were also billions of girls much more beautiful than I, not just an Ivy, but I can't blame all of that on duck lips, fish lips, whatever. As a very old woman, however, I have been somewhat vindicated. While most of you who reach my advanced age with be practically lipless, I still have a great pair........of lips, that is. The bad part is, also due to my advanced age, there are not zillions of girls prettier than I. I keep emphasizing the good parts to the other members of my family who have inherited same. By the way, my pair of legs aren't that bad either. No vericose veins at least.
  24. Nah. Maya propping $Bill is the worst $Bill for me. Steffy is not the CEO. Ridge is. Steffy is president and Liam vice president. Besides, only Eric Forrester, Jr. and his sainted wife deserve to live in the family mansion.
