  1. I wanted Paul out as well, but not while Nicole and Corey are still a strong voting pair. I owe Nicole an apology though. I thought she was just enjoying her showmance and riding his coattails to the end, with only the hope of maybe winning AFP, but a better chance at a new boyfriend. But now it's looking like she has at least as good a chance of making it to F2 as anyone, and better than many. But I still don't like her.
  2. Hey, thanks for all the responses to my questions about the buy back. I'm just now getting back to the board - it's been that kind of a day - but didn't want anyone to think your help was unappreciated. "Cause it weren't. Loved Da's look when she saw that Polly won the Veto. Sorry that I won't be able to see her look when she reads that Z has been interviewing that she "wasn't all that close to DaVonne". Oh, yeah, we all saw that.
  3. Sorry, but I only got part of Julie's announcement about the buy back. When is it going to be held and when does the person return? Please and thank you.
  4. I really, really, really want Paulie going out this week, but I really hope he goes home rather than to the Jury House. First reason is that he'll probably win the competition for return to the house. The second is that I kind of fear for Bridgette. I don't think he'll bother Da (out of respect or fear of past players) and Zakiyah may be carrying Paulie-ette, but that leaves Bridgette to take his crap. I'm not sure the other gals would help her. Neither one likes her, and neither would want to upset Paulie. Hope there is good security.
  5. Like seasick, while I watch only the episodes, I do read the feeds thread fairly regularly. Victor has gotten all my votes thus far. I feel he needs the protection after all the hard work he has done. I don't trust Paul to honor any commitment he made to Victor, or anyone else for that matter. Besides, I can't forgive Paul for the way he sold out his original friends and the way he treated Bridgette when Frank was leaving. His beat-down on her was equal to anything Paulie has done to Nat.
  6. You know, Nat is a really nice young lady and all that, but I don't know where you're getting this kind of crap. First of all, she's a graduate of Seton Hall University in New Jersey, a pretty darned expensive school. She's been taking dancing lessons of all kinds since she was a small child, and most of her family live in the Franklin Park/New Brunswick area. And that's not just her mother's family, but her father's as well. She has also had not one, but two augmentations. She's been interested in breaking into the entertainment business for years now, which is why, instead of getting a real job, she became a cheerleader for the Jets, and why she does the very low paid volunteer type thing of a job at MSG. She meets lots of celebrities and athletes there. Now, according to her own words, she wants to be a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader. Last I heard, that isn't a job. You have to have a job in order to indulge in being a cheerleader. Don't know a thing about Corey, but Bridgette has been doing volunteer work for hospitals every summer since she was in junior high. Not dashing off to Paris. She also worked at Denny's while she was in college. That really doesn't sound like someone who could pick up and jaunt thru the world on the spur of the moment. Still think she's a nice girl, but you don't have to be poor to be worthy of winning BB, but if you tell enough people how poor and charitable you are, they may let you win or give you the money if you make F2 on your own.
  7. I'm kind of curious about your remarks because I like Bridgette, and I wanted her, Bronte and Nat to go far. In fact, I still feel a bit pissed with Tiff for ratting them out to Day. I get what you're talking about in regard to how she's playing with regard to how Day played. What I don't get is why you blame Bridgette, but see nothing wrong with Zak, Nat, Nicole, and even Michelle who has no man, doing the same damned thing. And I didn't think Day played all that well either, but that's neither here nor there.
  8. It sure will be tough. I've liked every bit of the show so far, but this one was special. I think the music or the beat of the music is the key to their communication.
  9. I did mean the Caleb that Maddie's mom talked about. Don't remember exactly what she said, but it was something like you've only been this way since Mitchell; you weren't like this when you were with Caleb. I, too, thought he might be Garrett's father for all the same reasons - 38 years et al. I think that Christina will not be charged for the stabbing because she thought he was the killer at the time, and it will be considered self-defense. In his call to her Brady tells her that Garrett is the SBK. He didn't know yet that they had determined it was Mitchell's blood. Lady Naomi is going to out the lesbian love affair in her resignation. She just had that "vengeance is mine" look on her face. I'm wondering if they even tested Garrett's DNA. They weren't able to use the swab, but rather had to get one of his cups. Don't know anything about that, but it might take longer/be harder to get DNA readings that way. It could be that they had already decided that Mitchell was the killer, so didn't bother finalizing Garrett's sample. How creepy was that when Garrett asks Madeline if she killed Dad, and when she got teary, all he said was a resigned "Oh, Mom."
  10. The rub, for me, is that this recruiting is not only done for the dating shows, but for shows like Survivor and The Amazing Race as well. For instance, the last two seasons of TAR have mostly been pulled from social media sites. I know they think (at least I think that's the rationale) these people will bring in more viewers, but I haven't seen that working. Most of the people I know long for the days when ordinary people were selected and we could join in vicariously on their experience. All of these shows are getting to be far less enjoyable in the wake of both the recruiting and the obvious scripting. When did it become more exciting to see something that some 20-something production assistant thought up rather than the real reactions of real people.
  11. I'm curious about Caleb and when he will turn up.
  12. That's just a rerun of the PGA Championship then because that was held last weekend. The Travelers is being held this weekend and that's not a big deal tournament so it's rare that they cut too far into prime time. Usually if they run past 6:30, they switch the golf to another channel. But, of course, you're right, Rapunzel, about the reruns. I often watch Olympic events just because of that. I was hoping/thinking that Sunday night would be safer. Now, for me, I do watch the rowing, etc., because I hate the events that have been taken over by the professionals. Why would I want to see golf pros, for example, play against each other, when I can see that every Thursday thru Sunday of the year. Half the members of the PGA come from other countries anyway, so it's almost like the Olympics every week. Since most of the events are taken over by the pros, it doesn't leave me much to watch.
  13. The Olympics will be on NBC, not CBS. But I don't think that many competitions are held on Sunday anyway, so this show ought to be all right. At least I hope so.
  14. I really wasn't thinking about the number. I feel Natalie is young for her age. My mother was 18 years younger than my father, but she was in the same place as my Dad which made it work. I don't think Natalie is in the same place as James.
  15. I do think James would love it if Natalie wanted to date him post-show, but I think he believes she is way out of his league. And she is, as well as too young for him. First of all, she was Miss New York in the Miss Universe pageant a year or so ago, and has been trying to break into some form of entertainment since she's been in college. I know she said she wants to make the Cowboys cheerleading squad, but I don't think that will be likely. While young, she's a little long in the tooth for that, and based on her cheerleading moves on the show, she's not as agile as she probably once was. I just don't see her settling for James, whether she resents his lies or not. And doesn't James live elsewhere now? I thought he had left Texas.
  16. Big Mother, thanks for the BT recap and all the updates on the other couples that you have provided. I must first say that I honor BT for his service and I could not be sorrier for his accident. He has my admiration for the way he has gone through his rehab and adopted a new profession. I wish him well in his life and his career. I'm sure there were many good times they didn't show; after all, BT and Ashley were not the only couple in the show. It's got to be a representation of all that happened. I know he says now that there were only one or two times when he had anger management problems, but I'd bet if you could talk privately to Ashley, you'd hear a different story. She often looked stressed when she was with BT, and always seemed to be walking on eggs. Her emphatic agreement with BT's father showed she was more familiar with his anger than just one or two instances. I was sorry it didn't work for them. They looked great together. But, overall, I think it was for the best. The fact that he was unaware she had any of these feelings (while Brandon, who had his mind on TT, could see that she did) is alone indicative that he wasn't ready. And, oh that Alex. She really is a you-know-what, isn't she?
  17. Another oldie loving this show. I almost didn't watch it because it was written by the Kings, and I was mad at them. Still haven't gotten over how much I loved The Good Wife, and then after Season 3, they just let it sink lower and lower until that craptastic ending. But this show and its delightful cast have redeemed them in my eyes. I wonder how the myth that oldsters only watch CBS came about. When shows like Beverly Hillbillies and Gilligan's Island were on, we were all youngsters doing all the hip d'jour stuff. I never watched those shows, however, so I guess I wasn't one of the Kool Kids then either.
  18. I thought it was going to be a fun element, and sometimes it worked. Too often, though, the paintings seemed to be just thrown in there - such as tonight. It just added nothing and made no sense. There is no way in heck that Garrett could get into an autopsy, much less with Jack.
  19. I enjoyed this show, but would have like to see more of the couples and less of Alex. Hate to say, but she really annoyed the heck out of me. On the other hand, I'm glad Alex didn't make it final with anyone because she's way too young, immature and needy to commit to anyone at this point. She needed the same kind of support from her best friend that she did with the other girls on the island -- too selfish. Alex & Lindsey were the couple I was most rooting for, but also liked Ben & Lisa together. Neither was my cup of tea, but they were so cute as a couple. Hope Brandon puts a ring on it as I think they are right for each other. Ashley did the right thing, even though my heart ached for BT. She's just not equipped to handle his mood swings, and that's not a criticism. Most of us would not be either. Alicia also did the right thing, although like GenL, I felt so bad for Tyler. I'd like to see this again, maybe just once a year, but with more episodes and more emphasis on what was happening with the couples. And please don't bring Alex back again, or anyone like her.
  20. When I think of RS and JMcC in terms of actors - real people - I am indeed enjoying their story line. They are cute together, and it's so nice to see some mature love. But when I think of them in terms of characters, then I hate this story. Quinn has planned to murder Liam with her specially crafted sword, actually attempted to murder Deacon, and possibly did kill Senor Montemayer. She claims to love Wyatt, but consistently behaves in ways that will ruin his relationships, whether it's with Hope, Ivy or Steffy. Maybe she wants really just wants Wyatt all to herself. The changed excuse has been overworked. First it was with Deacon, a man who understood her; then Liam and now Eric. It's true she really didn't do anything specific to the women in Wyatt's life, but she always shows up where she's not wanted, and she deliberately breaks promises to stay her distance. She's like damned nail fungus; uninvited and hard to get rid of. For me, Quinn is B&B's Victor Newman.
  21. Golf shouldn't be a problem for the next 2 weeks as these are ordinary tournaments. They usually end by 6, and if they run long they switch them over to the Golf Channel or TNT for the finish. The only reason this last week's interfered with the schedule is that it was the PGA Championship - a big deal in the world of golfers. There really shouldn't be a problem with golf again until the Ryder Cup and I don't know which network has that.
  22. Don't like taking jobs away from actors, but if there's any idea of bringing this show back another year, then I hope the ratings don't quite make it. I like this show, but I think it's moving too slowly as it is. I don't want to have to wait until 2017 to find out who the SBK is, or even later if you use Under the Dome as an example. Besides, look at the hideous mess they made of Under the Dome and Extant.
  23. That could work out for the good. He might decide to move there.
  24. At least there's no age discrimination on Y&R. Rena Sofer must also have lovely looking parts so that these can be featured during her make-outs with Eric. I know John McCook is more Pillsbury Doughboy, but he's not only permitted to look like that, but they cover him up during those scenes. Hell, we wouldn't want to embarrass a man, would we? I don't expect him to look like Zende, but if the wimmins have to keep their weight in check, so should Mr. McC.
  25. This is what I recall as well. I assumed the test was for a state license, and was surprised because in many/most states if you graduate with honors from an accredited nursing school, state certification is automatically given. I do question her abilities a an ER nurse though. When Paul had an infection from his nose ring a few days ago, Nicole couldn't help him, but Bridget could.
