If the wrinkled shirt was intentional, it was probably to show her being stressed out and harried, not comfortable. I didn't notice, though. The weird thing is she's dropping all these clues for the FBI to find him, but she's had ample chances to kill him or turn him in herself. I wonder if she originally went with him out of curiosity and only now realized how deep she's in.

I love Mads in King Arthur though - especially how Arthur keeps telling Tristan to scout ahead and Tristan keeps giving him indreasingly dirty looks.

Have you watched "The Hunt"? That's probably the best thing he's ever done. Not exactly enjoyable to watch, though. Very upsetting. I've only seen Hugh in "Ella Enchanted" and "King Arthur." He didn't make an impression on me in either. I think he's amazing as Will though. He can play two personalities at once like nobody's business.

I googled "Casino Royale Chair" and found it. I remember now. I actually didn't understand what was going on because I watched it on a really bad TV, from across the room. Interestingly, I can't find anything about this ever being used in real life, either as torture or as BDSM. I did find this really interesting comparision between the book and movie: http://www.jamesbondwiki.com/page/Casino+Royale+Comparison •The torture scene is significantly different than in the film. In the novel, Fleming focuses on Bond's mind and the toll that the torture is taking on it. This is confirmed in CH 20, where we see Bond deciding to retire from MI6 because of the thinking he's done as a result of the torture. In the film, Bond is defiant to the end, as the focus is on the destruction of his body. This is a crucial difference that highlights the differences between the cinematic and literary Bonds. In the Book, Bond is broken by Le Chiffre. You don't get that sense in the movie. While he's being beaten, Bond is busy making witty comments. We don't see these comments in the novel. Bond is beaten, and then passes out. Rinse and repeat. He's beaten to the point where he's not able to draw enough moisture in his mouth to speak. Fleming tells us that Bond uses a number of mental strategies to survive the torture. In the film, we assume that Bond's survival is based more on his physical endurance. PS. I forgot to say, I watched the movie with a guy who was really into BDSM but he didn't say anything about it. Shoulda asked at the time.

I can completely understand Jack WANTING to beat Hannibal to death with his bare hands. What I can't understand is why, as a man of reason, he would make the decision to actually do it - and then not finish the job. Now he's just made him mad.

www.xkcd.com? No, I think it would make less sense if you were high. I just looked at it and the last several haven't been very funny but other times it's been hilarious. Wait... HANNIBAL IS "HAT GUY"!

I saw that movie but I don't even remember that.
-
He doesn't come in until more than halfway through. Good movie, though.

This past weekend I watched "Age of Uprising: The Legend of Michael Kohlhaas" (2013) and "Torremolinos 73" (2003). He managed to be buck-naked in both. I'm not sure he's ever kept his shirt on through an entire movie. NOT THAT I'M COMPLAINING.

I am majorly curious as to how Fuller was going to do S5 without Clarice Starling, how he was going to do S6 when he's already covered pretty much all of that book in S3, and what on earth he was planning for S7. I hope we get to see them in SOME form. I'd even settle for just a synopsis.

Keep in mind that in the books, after having been stabbed by Hannibal and after the Minnesota Shrike case, Will had just quit and moved to Florida to drink and fix boats. He didn't get dragged back in until the Tooth Fairy case, and even then he put up a fight. What we're seeing now is, "What if Will hadn't had the sense to quit when he was broken?"

I have to have the room completely dark because any light at all reflecting on the screen makes it worse. Sometimes I wonder if they're intentionally invoking Clarice Starling bumbling around that basement in the dark.
-
First season they said they were intentionally using backlighting as a theme. Apparently they've gone from backlighting to no lighting. If I hadn't just bought a larger TV, I don't think I would even know WTF is going on .

Chiyo bores me too. It's like she was only there for exposition. Maybe she'll get more interesting. I've been watching every Mads movie I can get on Netflix and Amazon. I'm starting to suspect he LIKES getting beaten up. And dislikes wearing shirts. Fuller did say Mads wanted more nudity this season.

Yeah, but remember Season 1 where they kept teleporting back and forth to Minnesota? That's a 24-hour drive or a 4-hour plane flight but they just popped in and out all willy-nilly.

Hannibal's Timeline/Books and Films vs. Show Continuity
Crossbow replied to Lisin's topic in Hannibal [V]
I was just trying to remember that too, because they seemed to be referencing that with Jack. I think it was her FBI Academy class ring. https://www.fbi.gov/news/stories/2014/april/william-bradford-bishop-added-to-fbi-top-ten-list/image/class-ring/view Clarice running off with Hannibal: In the book it made a little more sense than in the movie. You had more of the sense of how the FBI had totally hung her out to dry, and Hannibal was the only person who was on her side. Well, Ardelia was, but Ardelia wasn't in a position to help her at all. She didn't have anyone else. -
I think that's more Fuller's decision than Dancy's. Personally I think it works well for the plot. You can never really tell when he's really helpless and when he's just acting helpless as part of his plan.

Good episode. I can't tell anyone's motives. Hannibal - I don't think he's trying to seduce Bedelia, but what is he doing? Is she like his Kobe steak or something? Jack - Why didn't he just kill Hannibal? Sure, beating him bloody was probably more fun, but look how wrong it went last time. Will - Does he really want to kill Hannibal at all? In the season 2 commentary he said the stag represented Will's friendship with Hannibal, and the stag is back. Chiyo - What even. She totally stole that idea from "Boxing Helena." It's illegal in most of the US but that never stops anyone. Probably illegal in Italy, probably doesn't stop anyone there either.

Not to mention those godawful reality shows they keep renewing.
-
That gives me pause every now and then (angel maker, live starling) but then I firmly tell myself to just go with it.
-
Seriously warped.
-
I just watched Mads in "Adam's Apples." He keeps telling people they are "just plain rude."
-
That's true, she might not know about Mason. Although they're portraying him as overtly sadistic and rude. She'd still try to go through legal channels first. It's been fundamental to her personality up until now.

Will *was* a boat mechanic in "Red Dragon," and we've seen outboard motors in his living room at least twice on the show. As to whether he could sail the Atlantic, I'm not sure if that's what they were telling us, but maybe. People do. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single-Handed_Trans-Atlantic_Race
