The constant mentioning of being a “single mother” drives me nuts too. I heard you the first ten times! It’s not just on HH either.

Bangkok: How often does the HH think he is going to have visitors? Just get an inflatable mattress to put in the spare bedroom. The big guy was funny. -
OMG, yes! Why does anyone think that those drag queen fake eyelashes are attractive? Besides being ridiculous looking, they were distracting. They were all I was paying attention to. 😬

“Candyman, Candyman, Candyman...” No, I will not say that in front of a mirror!

I think the new homeowners were faking it! 😏

They moved from Auckland, NZ. I believe they said Brisbane was more affordable than Auckland. I wonder how much it would have cost to put plumbing and electric plus a kitchen and bathroom into that shed at the “resort house”? Good to see Jesse James the OZ cowboy again! -
A firefighter can’t deal with stairs? That was odd. Wonder how much it will cost to finish the rest of the house?

Twins should have practiced steering the car before like some others did. I knew the blondes were going home, but doing something as stupid as driving off the arena table should have sent the Twins home, IMO. -
I liked what they did with the house generally, especially liked the tiles in the shower. However, I didn’t like the custom-made island. It didn’t have any storage and the two levels were weird.

Valencia: Those two women (who dressed like teenagers) were exhausting. I bet the real estate guy was happy to get away from them. The place she picked: I would hate to have to carry my meals all the way from the kitchen in the back to the front room to eat. -
I think the release form is one way they narrow the field of contestants!

Neighborhood Madhouse: The law enforcement officials who arrested poor John Pierre when he was recovering from back surgery were appalling, too. Yep, that was one incredibly disturbing episode.

Renovation Island - General Discussion

My father was a Holiday Inn manager. At that time, they had resident managers, so my brother and I grew up in hotel/motels. We could go swimming in the pools whenever we wanted. I bet Bryan and Sarah banned the kids from the pool because Lincoln would probably do cannonballs and splash the paying customers, and he and his little sister would then loudly play “Marco Polo”! I bet the woman (the manager?)with Sarah when she was going OCD with the towels, etc. was rolling her eyes behind Sarah’s back. It reminded me of the Downton Abbey opening credits showing the table being set with the servants using rulers to space the cutlery and dishes exactly. 🙄 That isn’t hard to do! -
I wonder if the production team viewed Theresa’s footage and almost stroked out over how close she was to dying? 😮

The designer’s name is Debra. As I noted before, I didn’t think the art consignment was going to be successful. I just wonder what happened to the Swan sign. 🤨 -

A carpenter would have known those stair rails were unstable. 😬 Whenever I saw Ty in the house, my first thought was they need to keep that homeless guy out! 😏 That paneling is awful. Shouldn’t they have sanded it before whitewashing? I know nothing about home painting. Mike was right about those horizontal wires on the stair railings. I did like how they moved the stair landing. Unfortunately, my fave team is Alison’s! I really like the couple. I loathe electric fireplaces. Yeah, a plastic planter with twine halfway around as a light fixture is really upscale, as is a paint splashed drop cloth hanging on the wall. -
I liked Keith confronting the prosecutor about her case against Mark being so speculative. That said, I figure the husband did it because of the manner of death, stabbing, and other things brought up by other posters here. I just don’t see how that jury got to “beyond a reasonable doubt.”

I think those are for another house. A couple of reviews talk about all the room (“plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 children”) and another mentions bathrooms. Then there is the review that mentions the master bedroom has a lovely en suite bathroom. Maybe that main house was rented out at one time.
