There was a joke way back when that first babies were often 8 lb preemies. Trends and cultures vary. Marrying young, marrying old, remaining chaste until marriage or engagement, living together, etc. But like Julia said, it is a private matter, and holding oneself as better than, is wrong. Statutes of limitations start from when a crime is committed, not when reported. However new laws regarding molestation and rape have changed in many states, and some give a minor 7 years after their 21st birthday to bring a case to court.

I really don't get the impression that Derrick or his mom have any major problems with the Duggar family. I also don't think Derrick is the type of guy to consider Jill damaged goods because of the molestation either. And I don't believe Cathy B would hold judgment over the way the Duggar parents handled the situation. She may not agree that it was handled properly, but she doesn't appear to be the type to reject them because of it. I'm sure she has given Derrick private talks of not having his children around Josh, though. I just get the vibe that the Byrum/Dillard family is more similar, than different from the Duggar family as far as their beliefs go.

Considering they can't manage to feed their kids, it's a good thing that their plants are fake.
