Yes, but the scripture does imply that: Matthew 6:31-33: 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. And the Duggars cherry-pick, and use literal meanings from the bible.

I think the biggest difference between the Bates girls marriages and the Duggar girls, is that the Bates girls have husbands with real life jobs. And maybe another contributing factor is that it seems the Bates 19 are allowed to have feelings and interests, so maybe they do more than pray and spout bible verses.

I don't know about others but losing my dad (my 2nd parent to pass) made me miss my mom even more. Tough stuff Twopper. Warm & fuzzies coming your way.

I don't think giving birth at home was so TLC could film it, births are filmed all the time by family and also professionally for the shows like A Baby Story. I believe she delivered at home because they think Old School is better and it is a trendish thing right now. I also think they're probably home right now. First towel pics are at the home birth. The other pics are at the hospital and/or at home today. The Cracker Barrel bag could have anything in it. I save and reuse bags like that all the time. It probably is filled with make-up. I think the pretty professional pics and the name will all be made public by People.

Hospice is great. I lost my mom 5 years ago, and my dad 2 years ago. It is hard being, as lookeyloo mentioned, midlife orphans. Warm & fuzzy thoughts for you.

Kids aren't life-sized Barbie Dolls. Meredith with her boots, Bam Bam with his 5 outfits in 36 hours ... really? -
So, so sorry for your loss! Many {{{HUGS}}}

Unfortunately, neither Jessa nor Jill will be considering their deliveries when planning for more kids. They were raised to believe that children are blessings and using any kind of birth control is wrong. Neither have given any indication that they're not following the Gothard way. And anyway, I think women are hard wired to forget the real pain of labor & delivery, because most would only have one if they weren't.

Hospitals don't wrap newborns in worn out brown towels. Hospitals don't even have brown towels. If she went after the birth I hope she is okay and is released soon to be with her newborn. I agree that not only C-section newborns have round heads. A lot depends on the babies position in the days prior to birth and the size of the moms hips/pelvis.

Infants don't needs shoes period. And most toddlers I have known prefer no shoes, (no clothes for that matter), but soft soled shoes were what was recommended when my children were youngins, back in the 80s. -
The Dillards truly do not have a clue. They appear to think that their sheer existence is enough to make one's life better. They need to stop. Now.
