  1. I've always gotten the impression they are wearing recycled bridesmaids dresses. You know like, "I paid $200 for this dress I wore when I was in Betty Lou's wedding! Betty Lou picked a dress we could wear again!" Well, no. Trust me, it's fugly. Borrow a dress or shop at the thrift stores or invest in a little black dress. Thank you! I've only seen that episode once and desperately need to see it again so I'm marking my calendar. ????
  2. Woo, just caught the latter part of "and halted vows", one of our favorite episodes with NY pizza and pop bride Carolyn, and I can confirm her score was 43. The winning bride Michele actually lost the dress category with a score of 9 which gave a little boost to Carolyn's score. Her overall experience score was 10. I'm glad to have you guys to carry on these discussions! If Mr. Bean saw this he'd be like 'huh'. ???
  3. Why is it that I can't get behind a honey fund? There's something tacky about it that I can't quite put my finger on.
  4. I wish the producers of Four Weddings would put out an episode of the all-time worst weddings/hall of shame/delusional brides. What was she thinking???? She'd be at the top of the list...if that's any consolation to her...and somehow I think she'd be ok with that :):):)
  5. Why the heck did they come up with that extra challenge after the runway? It seemed so random, it made no sense, and as someone above mentioned, sadistic. You may disagree, but my first thought was "no way did they make those looks in one hour." I know they're professionals. But those outfits were really nice, in my opinion and somehow fit the models well. Not sure why the producers felt the need to have this bogus competition and claim it was one hour, but I'm not buying it.
  6. I did too. Candy Crush. Am I passé to think how passé that is? I love Kelly Osborne. I miss Fashion Police with Joan Rivers and Kelly. I wish she could be a regular judge on one of the PR's. The judges were right with the winner and loser.
  7. I thought his dress was eye-catching and most definitely could be seen at the Oscars! Red is one of my favorite colors so maybe I'm a little biased, but I'm a little surprised at the lack of love by the judges. Disclaimer: back in the dark ages when I went to the prom, the trend was those ruffly, pastel Gunne Sax dresses. "Ugh!" I said. I non-conformistly wore a red disco-ish gown and I'm still glad I did. :) :)
  8. @Wings Thank you! I had a couple of his books many years ago. I'll have to look out for them. It would bring back happy memories of happy times.
  9. My public service plug for Torrid: when my daughter was in her late teens/early twenties, she gained a lot of weight due to a medication she was on and was feeling very bad about herself. Torrid was a lifesaver. They had very trendy & stylish clothes, lingerie, and accessories, and somehow made it empowering, celebrating plus sized young ladies. My daughter volunteered to model at an in-store fashion show, a very fun event in which the models were referred to as "sex kittens." And why not?!
  10. Pro: focusing on the couples instead of just the brides. All of the grooms seemed like nice guys! It was fun watching them all party together. Con: two hours is too long. I kept losing interest. I also don't believe they were all good friends. Friendly acquaintances at best, but I may have missed how they were all connected (did I mention I kept losing interest, lol.)
  11. Let us all join hands and give thanks that hopefully we'll no longer be forced to watch the Avon multi-tasking mama every week.
  12. At my last retail job we sold many different styles of coats...I'm not a fan of black coats...I always felt they were drab...some customers loved black & in fact insisted on it. Maybe that's why I loved Kenya's bold print and Kentaro's winter white dreamy design. Have to admit I'd wear Brandon's in a heartbeat minus the crop top and annoying straps on the back. Ayana's was kind of a hot mess, and even if I loved Margarita's (which I did not) I'd never admit it because she needs to shut up and grow up.
  13. I was mad that Harvard bride won. I liked her wedding--hers was first--but then she was so negative about EVERYTHING at the other three weddings, not sure if she had anything nice to say at all, so I was hoping for a 4th place for her!
  14. I wish Ayana had won. She nailed it. Amy's look was really awful and I think she deserved to be on the bottom. Watching her cry made me so sad. I'm hoping Tim's going to surprise everyone and use his save for Amy at the beginning of next episode. I like her and sorry to see her go.
  15. He did not incorporate any of the ideas of his young partner. Wasn't that the whole challenge?
  16. Great article, good find @nb360 !
  17. You guys. I missed the first 20 minutes. It couldn't be helped. I'm dying. Claire is gone due to cheating with a ruler? Please tell me what happened. Gracias. ❤️
  18. Aldi is the closest supermarket where I live and I shop there regularly. You cannot beat their prices. Their produce is fresh, cheap and very good, and organic is an option. When I was growing up, mom served us canned vegetables and fruit cocktail, and, you know, they were pretty awful, lol. I agree with the other posters that with a little effort and research, Michelle could feed her family very well on a budget.
  19. Mrs. H, thank you for sharing your pictures! You are beautiful and the hubs and sons are very good looking. Many blessings and congratulations to you all!
  20. Oh dear God, not another cliffhanger.
  21. Yeah, I thought they were pretty nice, and I was fine with them until the end where they showed the magazines stacked on the toilet and his comment about getting all his reading done in there. Ugh.
  22. Not sure if there was a preview of "client on the go" challenge this week. Of course we'll have the "treat" of the twins face off, the cheating scandal revealed, real housewife judge whose name escapes me...lots to look forward to, lol! I'm wondering what the actual challenge is for the designers. Did they preview that piece of it? I can't seem to remember.
  23. I don't mean to snark on y'all. All we know is JD landed a plane in Aguadilla. We have no other information. We've all seen the devastation in PR. I just can't assume that they are going there for a photo op or to pass out Jesus tracts. No one is that heartless. Not even the Duggars. Right?
  24. We bought our Cape Cod about 12 years ago because it was in our desired neighborhood and a good deal. It was built in 1950. I get what you're saying, I was never a fan either. The closets are tiny and the kitchen was a disaster (we redid it a few years ago when we could afford it, not before we moved in, lol.) I do think the bedrooms are charming as opposed to awkward, we don't have an attic but there's crawl space galore and my fave--a laundry chute. My elderly parents have stairs everywhere in their house and it's become a real struggle and a real issue. With our house being on the flat side of the street and the master bedroom/bath on the first floor, we've pretty much decided we're here to stay. :)
