I knew Tamar was getting a perfect score as soon as I saw that she had Rhythm Nation. That's why I was chuckling at the panic over the weekend. Maybe because Singin' in the Rain is one of my favorite movies of all time, but I really wasn't impressed by Andy and Allison. Imagine my surprise when I saw it got a perfect score. That was overscored. Carlos --- I laughed throughout his entire dance. I know he was doing Magic Mike and I've never seen that movie because stuff like that makes me laugh. I don't know what Carrie Ann was on, but Nick was great. He deserved a perfect score. He did the Russian moves. I've never seen that pulled off except for in a cartoon. Maybe because I didn't watch her segments or paid that much attention to her, but Leah Remini didn't annoy me like I figured she would. I forgot she was even there until I saw her with Bindi and Derek.

Hell, I was looking like Maks when they were throwing out those 10s to Carlos. I was like, did we watch the same dance? But I understand that those scores for Alexa and Carlos is for protection.

Maks was as useless as a judge as the first time he did it. Imagine listening to that every week if he had gotten that judging spot instead of Julianne. Of course he was going to favor Val. As soon as he gave Tamar that 9, I was like, mm-hmm. And then he gave his brother that 10. I was like, that shouldn't count. Shocked he gave Alexa that 10. Thought he was only saving those for his brother. Speaking of Alexa and Carlos -- I think those two got little protection bumps with their scores. Carlos' quickstep was good, but it wasn't that good. And Alexa's tango wasn't deserving of the first perfect score of the season. She was better but not that much better. Condolences to Tom. I give him a ton of credit for getting through the evening so well.

The shippers are losing their minds over Alek and Emma. I'm glad I missed that segment. I hate shipping. With a passion.

Shocked to see Anna back since she's been extremely bitter toward the show.

That's why I'm hoping her movie will flop. Then, maybe the experiment will be over.

In kind of the same vein, I still watch Modern Family and enjoy it a lot. I still get big laughs from that show. So, for me, it's sad that it looks like the reign is over. It's going to lose to a show that really isn't funny. I don't watch Veep. I've seen clips of it and I've never laughed. And Transparent? That's basically a 30 minute drama. Same thing for me. I've heard of this chick before and I've seen clips from her show. Not funny. I'm like, people are hyping this chick up? Why? Then, you have the "experts" saying that she's going to win because her movie Trainwreck is coming out and apparently that's going to be a huge hit. They're trying really hard to make her happen and it seems to be working. They quickly buried her controversy about making racist jokes. Heard about that for a couple days and then that was gone.

I would enjoy the ELQ story if everyone weren't so damn stupid and we have a decent explanation as to why Nikolas wants the company. Plus, it has Rosalie all up in it and that is one useless character who should've been gone a long damn time ago. As a writer, I look at all the nonsense that is going on this show right now and I just shake my head.

Is Joss even on the show still? This entire post makes me laugh.

Tony has already won (even though his win most definitely should come with an asterisk). They seem to be going for people who haven't won yet. But it's not "mystical powers". Once again, Val has had the most ringers. They kept handing them to him until he won.

Well, after handing him ringer after ringer after ringer, it finally worked out this time. Showing Nastia being all giggly and smiling didn't fit the narrative. It didn't fit that "no connection" nonsense they were spewing. Exactly. Once Nastia went out at 4th, it was an easy road to the win for Rumer and Val. If Nastia and Derek got the chance to redo their rumba and to do a freestyle, they would've been a huge threat. They had to take out the competition to get Val that win.

Why does there have to be a narrative? Why do they have to go through so much just to get a certain pro a win? But since it seems like that's the way it goes now, I can see them going for Sharna (she's getting a lot of face time from her pairing with Noah and she is a fringe Fam member) or maybe Mark who apparently hasn't won in a while. Derek is never winning again. He's got five and they figure that's enough. I can see them trying to get Val a back to back win.

Please. The last few seasons the fix has been in for Val. When's the last time he got an "older" contestant or at least someone without dance experience? Most of his partners have been ringers. But since all of the hard work to get that boy a win finally worked out for them, I wonder if they're going to continue to cater to him?

Oh, you know those things are on display. But Val's will be pushed a little forward or a little higher because it's gold. With help.

Well...they got the result that they worked so hard for all season. So, Val got the gold mirror ball and the validation that he needed. You can already hear his ego growing. He'll go to sleep with that thing tonight. So, whose turn will it be next season? Or are they through with catering to certain pros?

Looking at that picture, you can see how prom-y that dress is. Shame they wasted those diamonds on it (and her).

Well, they didn't want anyone to show up Val at the end. They got rid of his competition so that it would be an easy win for him. Sucks that they're probably going to get the result that they designed for the entire season. But maybe then Val will stop whining.

Erin Andrews wore another prom dress tonight. It looked like my old one but yellow instead of blue. Anyway. All of the freestyles underwhelmed. I was not impressed by any of them. Noah's was too much; Riker's bored me. I kept waiting for something to happen, but nothing ever did. And since Val can't really choreograph a freestyle, he just decided to do an Argentine Tango. That's not a freestyle. Those ribbons or whatever around Rumer's feet just annoyed me. Did she have to wear those? Really wish we could have seen a freestyle from Nastia and Derek. It probably would've brought a bit of excitement. Yes. All of the freestyles were so meh and blah and boring. I have to go back and watch some excellent freestyles. This anniversary season is ending on a whimper.

But that wasn't enough. The previous week's package had already killed them. There was no coming back from that. That's what he's saying and it's true. All season they portrayed Nastia as being cold and not connecting. They ramped up with that these last few weeks. She never got a redemption arc. Monday was not a redemption arc. That was just throwing her a bone.

Just like how someone can hate Derek just for breathing -- that's their prerogative. But Val is an ass. That's why I don't like him. Calling someone "uninteresting" is not the first instance of him being an ass. And Sharna is walking around like she is owed this. I saw a bit from her blog and I rolled my eyes. I have never liked her and the people she associates with is not helping that situation. If the producers didn't show Derek giving any criticisms because they knew he was getting the boot or whatever, then that's the first piece of decent editing they gave him all season. But there could be a chance that Derek really didn't have any criticisms to give. Is that so hard to believe?

Well, it was said that Allison called Nastia a robot before it was edited. Turns out it was Sharna. Not shocked at that, really. She's Fam'd up and also desperate for a win. So, she gets no pass from me. And seeing the whole quote still makes no difference for me --- Val is an ass. You don't even have to be a star to be on this show anymore. So, go ahead. Do your thing. I'll root for you. How is Derek's presence not giving another Pro a chance? People bring up Henry and Sasha, well if the producers wanted to make either of those a Pro, they would have. Both had a season and instead of making them a Pro again, they chose to bring in others like Artem and Keo. And speaking of those two, they are a perfect example of if the producers want to bring someone back they do. Keo hardly impressed his first season since he had a dud and was out the first week and they still gave him another shot. Derek's presence is not what guarantees some other Pro a chance or not because by that same token you can say the same for Tony who has been on the show practically since the beginning or Mark who has been as long as Derek, etc. Thank. You. How is Derek's presence not giving another pro a chance? That just makes no sense to me.

And once again, even if Derek wasn't on the show this season, there's no guarantee that Nastia would've been on. Derek had another partner all ready to go but it fell through. So, they got Nastia to replace her. Even if Sasha got to be a pro this season, his partner probably wouldn't have been Nastia. But Sasha has put in enough work to show that he should probably once again be a pro next season. They just need to find someone short enough.

I knew it. I had a feeling the entire day. I wanted Val and Rumer out of there, but I knew that wasn't going to happen. I don't have that kind of luck. So, Noah's in and I can see him winning this thing. He's got to have one more manipulation trick to pull out, right? Promise the wedding on the show? I don't know. I heard that Val was just an ass tonight. Basically saying that Nastia is "uninteresting" and his dramatic collapse to the floor after the results. Too bad they're pretty much going to hand him the mirror ball next week. Derek really shouldn't come back to this show because (and I'm sure he knows this, too) he's never going to win again. So, I don't know why he keeps coming back. To keep going out at 4th? That means I'm officially done with this season. They're probably going to go into pimp overload next week to make sure that Val gets that gold mirror ball. I am not going to watch that. I am not going to watch his coronation.

But they are still somewhat A-List and that's what they want. They want A-Listers in the audience. Remember when they started pimping Leah Remini because she was bringing Jennifer Lopez along?
