  1. *&^%$#@! Shonda! Why does she hate happy couples so much? We see them develop, then either someone dies, or someone does something that throws the gears out of alignment and the whole relationship devolves to an ugly crash. Please stop.
  2. More than half for me. When Dean was making his "we will win" declaration, i kept expecting Crowley to suddenly add. "Glad to hear that-- what's our plan?". Then they look and he's coming out of their kitchen with a silly drink from the MOL's 1960 cocktail cupboard. How'd he get past the wards? That was the last bit of the power flare he got from the artifact.
  3. No, that was the tactic. Dean gives the blade to Lawless, then distracts the demon. Lawless comes up and stabs the demon from behind while it's distracted fighting Dean.
  4. Yeah, a crossroads demon must be LE or the system falls apart.
  5. I would never play in a wrestling ring because one of the `rules' of wrestling is you get in the ring, you're fair game. I'd be too afraid a real wrestler would suddenly rush in and bodyslam me. That being said, it was kind of cool watching Dean do it. I never watched RR/RR and i haven't watched wrestling in years, but i remember the Miz. He was awful.
  6. I knew Crowley had a plan. But i was hoping he'd suddenly produce the Jawbone and decapitate Lucifer with it. Btw, where is the Jawbone? For that matter, where is the Scythe? Either one could make a big difference.
  7. Veteran of the Psychic Wars Deaf Forever Highway Star Sweet Child of Mine Battle of Evermore Oye Como Va Lights Out in London
  8. Thing is, they did a "tibetan thought form" episode. It was the one about the tyrannical homeowners association. so it was weird to have muldar say there was no such thing.
  9. Ok, finally saw the whole episode. oh goody, there's no need to revive b613, just take over the NSA. Now rowan's operations have the benefit of the dubious legitimacy of america's *official* murder and surveillance crew. And Jake is now fully committed. we can no longer comfort ourselves with the thought that somehow, inside, he's still a good guy. and hey, why try to stand in the sun when lurking in the shade is so much more rewarding? bonus: jake gets to be the number one white boy rowan wants inside his daughter, while said daughter welcomes him, in between episodes of outrage. and don't forget those really great home cooked dinners.
  10. I'm just surprised he wasn't naked.
  11. Not going to read any other comments yet because i just started watching the episode. But i'm not liking the opening scenes. First she's social with her father again as if nothing had happened. then that thing with jake. she says go he won't go suddenly they're kissing. then he bounces her off a few walls as they head for the bedroom. that didn't look at all like passion, looked more like real violence, like a rape fantasy, like maybe she wants to be assaulted. of course, when huck appears with a new client, she switches gears and asserts herself for real. again she's being presented as only showing autonomy when it's business. this is disturbing.
  12. Oh Pierre, to be a man of the Enlightenment, you have to understand what it is you're trying to enlighten. That being said he's still my second favorite character. Number one is the commanding general. No one seems to get that his practice of managed retreats, along with an occasional neglect of the emperor's "when in doubt, charge" mentality, is the only reason Russia still has an intact army to take advantage of a chance to beat Napoleon.
  13. I noticed that too. I thought it would have been cool if Muldar had taken the hat. And to those who were reminded of Jose Chung, yeah that too. But. I was reminded more of the meta episodes of Supernatural.
  14. If we don't nitpick them, how are the show writers ever going to get better?
  15. Helen Mirren As Lady Kestrel, pirate and slaver. Her command of both irish and carribean folk magic nullifies the town's supernatural resources while her crew terrorizes the population. Leading members of every faction find themselves thrown together into a cage and on their way to Morocco.
  16. total waste of Gillian Anderson. I figured she was there to prove to the czar that napoleon wasn't an alien. So far, her function seems to be to buffer Pierre, first to try to keep him from proclaiming liberte, egalite, et fraternite to a bunch of saber carrying nobleman, then later when he gets his inheritance, to make sure he uses the right fork. Anyone could have done that. I hope her character gets a larger role as the story proceeds.
  17. I tried to watch "Krod", but it got tiresome by the end of episode 2.
  18. I think that was a shout out to "The Court Jester" scene with "...the potion with the poison.." Anyone who likes this show should see that movie.
  19. Campaign over, thank goodness. Now Ruth can go back to being the KGB den mother. Also, i'd like to see Eli leave too. He and his daughter can form a an image management firm, like what Scandal started out with, and get their own show. I wish i cared what Alicia, Diane, and Cary do next. But i don't.
  20. Well i like Josh's hair. I'm looking forward to when he finally meets one of the occupiers, grins and says "alrighty then!". I agree about getting a feel of the Hunger Games. But this is a kind of generic occupation. It's Palestine, the Warsaw Ghetto, Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Manchuria, etc. I'm hoping for some decent scifi, but i think more likely it's going to look like a workshop on the ethics of collaboration and resistance.
  21. Here's a really off the wall theory: Holmes was in a coma from a drug cocktail including LSD. But it wasn't this Holmes. It was the one from the american show.
  22. No. "Monstrous Regiment" is actually a well known reference to a renaissance political tract denouncing women in power. Again, no. Here is the link to the original http://www.swrb.com/newslett/actualNLs/firblast.htm
  23. Yup, Clara is clearly and sincerely dead. Until she isn't. If the Doctor's timeline is like a rope, she's responsible for a lot of splices in it. Apparently. For now. And until they need to bring her back. And then she'll be back. For the 60th anniversary episode: "The Four and a Half Doctors"
  24. After all the murders on this show, why do people keep holding back when it's Rowan? Why?
  25. Crossover time. The gang is going to need Olivia Pope to get them out of this one.
