  1. All the best to Saban & Byrne. Florida? What are you going to do? A full crowd is a nice thing. Just not right now, revenue aside. Not sure it does any good where Florida could get bounced as a precaution. The permission for it is fair enough, since it's also meaningless to cap it at 5,500 fans such a stadium

I always figured that Mayfield would get there. Obviously the best they've had, if not slated to be the best since Couch. I'm surprised he got there now given how awful Cleveland was last year. With a good start this year and the fair year in 2018, it makes sense. Just figured it would've hit later this year if not next year barring another change, injury, or something else

It didn't surprise me. Sure there were some close calls, but Tennessee is still a very good team. They're the complete opposite of whatever Houston is (or was); both teams started postseason play by beating AFC East Teams and ended postseason play by losing to Kansas City despite doing well. The Texans might be starting to move on from that, but that loss at Arrowhead in January was the Titans only blemish going back to 2019. Didn't think they'd win 42-16 though! I guess I didn't factor in the fact that the Titans might be pissed, or more annoyed at everything, exceeding the frustrations of Buffalo and Pittsburgh, that they might actually do the ass-kicking instead of the other way around. Whatever. I won't be surprised if the punishment doesn't happen for a long time, maybe even next season. I'll be livid, however, if somehow Tennessee falls on a sword to where Cleveland, of all teams, ends up crushing them later on. I don't know how I'll feel or what my opinions will be if the league decides to bring down the hammer on the Titans prior to the Week 13 games

It's 2020. That being said, fortunately the option to switch from FS1 to TBS is there. Therefore, one has a right to make the switch... just in time to catch Houston going yard to lead 1-0

I wonder how much a $100 bet would be worth if there was a winning bet for a team to win the game in overtime by 5 points

    The NBA

If all goes well, the NBA could be back to its normal schedule by the start of 2022-2023, unless they're going to forgo a full (82-game) season

Fair enough. I love Tampa, but not ready for another Titletown right now. Though I might reconsider if Atlanta wins the Pennant

It really is amazing, isn't it?! OTOH, and FWIW it isn't a shocker either. Atlanta & Houston are capable of containing for a championship. New York is capable of containing for Trevor Lawrence. Personally, I think that I would've been more surprised had Adam Gase been let go first. Bill O'Brien and Dan Quinn should've been kicked out during the off-season, especially Bill. No reason for the Texans to fail with an offensive coach, a fairly good offense & a respectable defense (featuring a former DPOY). No reason for the Falcons to fail with an defensive coach, a fairly good defense & a respectable offense (featuring a former league MVP). The Jets have the Patriots & the Bills in their division, but they're a mess. They'll fire Gase on January 4 but even with Lawrence, there's no guarantee they'll be good going forward

In terms of a bubble for the league, I see them starting to plan for one sometime in the second half of next month, if not considering it publicly for the first time, and then taking the next step in the first half of December. It goes without saying that the NFL is king, but to what degree, if at all, when it comes to clashing with March Madness? Football you'd think should have more in terms of revenue, what's the ratio when going head-to-head with all the universities put together? I'm rather curious; I haven't heard of anything that'll lead to a cancellation of the NCAA Tournament for the second time in as many years, but I don't know if I'd be a fan of pushing everything back 6-8 weeks when they could've pushed everything up 1-2 weeks! Now that Dan Quinn is out in Atlanta, maybe a Seattle reunion? That way, in the event teams stop Russell, they won't lose all the time!

What a game. Though that ending was very tough for Minnesota, as in the last play. Maybe I didn't hear the whistle, but unless there was one, there was no whistle. Someone on the Vikings should've called timeout as soon as the ball was recovered. Easier to say while I'm not on the field, but it's all about the details. So much for saying that Russell would've taken a hit for MVP against a team that plays Green Bay twice. Maybe Aaron wouldn't have caught up to him and past him, but it's now a three-person race. Too much time left, but if Russell plays this way over the next couple of years or so, maybe he get Pete Carroll off the hook for some of Pete's mistakes. Or just one that occurred at State Farm Stadium

And they fired Dmitroff as well. Should have been fired before the season began. You know 2020 Atlanta Falcons are an awful team this year if they had to fire their head coach and general manager BEFORE the conclusion of the 2019-2020 NBA season!

It's always been that for interconference games, the away team is what determines the network. Today, Fox had Philly traveling to Pittsburgh. That was correct. CBS should have had Miami-SF and Fox should have had Giants-Cowboys today. I can only think that the rapid changes in the schedule this week might have upset the network coverage. Prior to 1994, CBS carried the NFC, so yes, they would have covered that game. Not by tradition but by contract. I'm aware. I guess traditional may not have been the best word (even though I grew up with Dallas on CBS with Summerall and Madden before the same duo called those and other big NFC games on FOX). The away team determining the network hasn't been a lock for the past several years. It's not related to the pandemic, but in 2014 the concept of cross-flexing was introduced. So the league can determine what network can carry what games. I was still surprised to see an NFC East game featuring the Cowboys on a Network that primarily carries the AFC (in CBS), no matter how bad they were

San Francisco would've been on FOX regardless, especially going back to pre 2014 NFL scheduling. Of course if this were football pre 1994, Giants & Cowboys being on CBS would be simply traditional. If New York hadn't been so bad, you'd see the emotion from Troy Aikman, I think, as it relates to Dak. Joe would've be a professional, but I think Pat & John would be devastated more than Jim and even Tony. If you're accustomed to Western Pennsylvania, I don't think I've heard another Black N Gold fan blurt out, "Hey, I love the Cowboys! It's okay to love both teams!!" People that've been around longer than me might echo that; having said that, Dak will be back. With the work put in, Prescott will be back

You know, I've often said that the NFL is scripted. All the best to Alex, but the second Haskins got moved to 3rd string, I really should've bet big that Smith was going to go in due to Allen's injury. Didn't think it would be the very first game since the move, but I definitely thought it would happen at some point this season!

  18. 90 is about right. I believe he was one of the two people that were considered the face of their program for a century (if not half-century), with the other being Penn State. Bowden was around FSU for a very long time, and he's been gone from the program as HC for over a decade Hope the coach will be okay; amazing it's been 10 years since he left

Pulling for Tampa as well, but I root for the Rays even if the Astros hadn't cheated. IMO, if Houston loses, I'd personally be happy at the expense of the league; wouldn't be laughing at the Astros. That's just me

The NFL originally prohibited post-game meetings, I believe. Since there was contact made with today's biggest star, I wouldn't be surprised if a change was made there. Not sure masks are the way. As mentioned, if they can't meet postgame, then they shouldn't be playing football this year

Good for him. I think, at least in the short-run, people would've used common sense; you'll get careless people, but 65,000 would include careful people that get unlucky which in turn may lead to other unfortunate situations for people that had nothing to do with attending a game full of 65,000 fans. AimingforYoko, it sure is self-control. Though I don't think it takes much to emulate common sense by sticking with 20%. Probably more in the lines of the Dolphins not having a choice. I don't think they plan on taking an "L" unless someone beats them on the field

I'm thinking not. Some fans in Western Pennsylvania would agree, but mainly because the Steelers were victims. But man, how dumb if that is the case. What's not mentioned much if at all is that the Titans are undefeated, so I can't imagine the carelessness with Tennessee. Either way, no suspensions or loss of draft picks, I don't think. Definitely no forfeit, but it's possible. I'd say no because the meeting that warned the NFL teams of massive discipline occurred on Monday, after all the positive tests happened
